As we were driving on the highway my son noticed we were losing tire pressure fast so we exited the highway and found a gas station/convenience store to add air. We checked with a local garage and they weren't available (nice way of saying they couldn't be bothered). At this point we already needed more air and I started googling tire centers nearby and found this place 6 miles away. My son immediately called them and they said to come on over right away. This place was amazing, they patched the tire and we were on our way with only a small amount of time lost. This could have been a bad situation if we hadn't found them when we did and they graciously helped us.

After jump starting our car, he tried to find out the root of the problem. He tested the battery and ruled out a weak battery. What I got instead was one of the rudest, most unprofessional interactions I've ever had at a business. An employee, short, overweight, with tattooed arms and a ridiculous "viking" hairstyle, looked at my tire and said "I SeE tHaT" in the most condescending tone imaginable. I'm a grown man, I don't need to play ego games, so I let it go. Another employee quickly stepped in and shooed him off. But even as I left, the guy glared at me like he wanted to fight. Absolutely disgusting behavior. I ended up paying nearly $300 for what I thought was a new tire. A few weeks later, it started deflating again. At this point, I truly believe they didn't even replace it. Just pumped it full of Fix-a-Flat and sent me on my way. That kind of disrespect is unacceptable. My friends and family, they all know now to stay away from Dunn. Now I go to Mavis Discount Tire. Friendly staff, $125 for a real tire replacement, and not a single staff member acting like they're in a middle school turf war. If Dunn wants to know why they lose customers, this is it. I called mavis and told them I needed decent all seasons as I drove 25 minutes both ways every day for work. They suggested tires that would run me around $900. Brought them in and got them out on. Soon as I drove home I knew something was off. Brought it back a couple days later and told them they were very bumpy and loud and the guys says well you shouldn't have gotten those tires. I am like these are the tires you guys recommended. Had a mechanic check it out and drive it around and said the air was a little low so they topped it off and it should be fine. Here I am three weeks later and my car pulls to the left, it feels like I am driving on a flat tire, and it is so loud I can hear it over the radio. My son took his car to Steve Shannon Tire Center in Cortland, NY, to have his winter tires put on…read more They told him that right wheel lug nut was through the stud and that the drum will have to be taken apart for the stud to be replaced which most likely require the replacement of further parts. My son called me and I told him to tell them not to do anything. When my son came home I inspected the wheel and found that the outer covering on the lug nut had come off. However, there was enough of the nut there that I put a lug wrench on the nut and removed it. Then installed a new lug nut!!!!!! I don't know if this auto center has TOATALLY inexperienced and inept mechanics, or they are dishonest and trying to pad the bill with repairs that are not necessary. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!! I would give thin place no stars but the system will not let me.
