Beef Afrique, kubideh, and lamb Afrique. Chef Arash is very patient, approachable, and nice. The food is awesome. The amount is generous for the price. The atmosphere is relaxing. I heard about this restaurant on Facebook ads and read some good reviews online. We decided to experience the awesomeness everyone was talking about. The visit did not disappoint. We plan on going back again to try other dishes Chef Arash has to offer.

Came in for an early dinner and was surprised to see their kababs are fresh to order and in a refrigerated case for all to view. Restaurant is small but with plenty of indoor with some outdoor seating, too. Service was very friendly and hospitable. I had to bump this 3-star review up to a 4 on account of their hospitality. The owner was very attentive and friendly. The only thing keeping me from returning was their hummus. It lacked flavor and smoothness. We had to add in our own salt to "doctor" it up. The beef and lemon garlic chicken kababs were very tasty and adequately seasoned. The chicken saffron wasn't as tasty, unfortunately. Rice was fluffy and tasty, too! We didn't see any sumac to add to our dishes. The other thing this restaurant needs is a soda fountain with ice. They don't have ice for drinks and that really brings the dining experience down a bit. They do have homemade desserts and baklava. I ordered the baklava and it was good. This place also has take home and ready to eat meals in refrigerated cases for the quick pick up, which was super convenient and smart.

So delicious! Generous portions and so so so yummy! This is an order at the counter place. They also have several fridges/freezers with prepared meals to take home if you like. I've never tried any of those meals though. I've tried the beef shish, the chicken saffron, and the shrimp. All so good! The meat comes with a large serving of rice, a grilled tomato, and some pickled vegetables. Everything has been so delicious. They have tables for dining in, but the atmosphere is a little lacking--I've always done take out. It does seem like it takes longer than it should, and they also always seem to be playing michale buble (I'm not a fan lol), so maybe that's why the wait seems longer haha. I will also say that it is on the pricier end and they do charge 3% if you use a credit card, so bring cash to save yourself that extra fee. Overall, I can't speak highly enough about the food itself! Top notch. I look forward to my next meal from here!

Used the search tool on Yelp to find this hole in the wall treasure! All I can say is I wish it was closer to my side of town. Very clean and comfortable inside to dine in. Very casual place and very easy to order. You place your order and they will bring to your table. I originally phoned in my order to take out but my drive was too long so I decided to eat in. The serving size is nice size, I could not eat all my rice but it was amazing! So fresh, light and delightful! My yogurt chicken was moist and flavorful. First time trying it! The veggie kebab was great to go with my chicken. The extra veggies were marinated and tangy. I also ordered tabbouleh! It was so fresh!!! It had a nice citrus note, I really enjoyed it! I will be back in the fall after my next Dr appointment!

The tofu is delicious! Such a good lemon herb flavor. Many vegan options. And they are very knowledgeable and so so nice.

I heard about Taste of Passion in an online article that mentioned their frozen to-go meals, so I decided to check it out. I had a little trouble finding the sign, so I called, and it turns out they're located inside Just Kebab. I picked up several different options, and my favorite so far is the shrimp kebab. All of the dishes come with a lot of rice--I do wish they would replace half of it with veggies instead. The restaurant was clean, and all of the workers were really friendly. Overall, it's a great option for easy, convenient meals.

Oh for yum! I've been craving this restaurant's saffron rice and this time decided to bring my family. We got the family chicken combo with tabulah and hummus. Everything was sooo flavorful. I love the spicy pickled veggies, the somehow magically cooked tomatoes, and the meat was perfectly cooked and delicious. The family meal for 4 fed my family of 5 with leftovers (mostly rice). It was very quiet in the restaurant aside from the refrigerator noise. We were the only ones there for a while. Service was great and the man behind the grill was nice and chatted with us. We will definitely be back!

Not enough stars. This place is for meat lovers and vegetarians. The proteins are packed with such amazing spices. The falafel and chicken wraps are about a foot long and amazingly delicious. The Humble fries are so deliciously spicy. The beef filet entree was spectacular with the delicious basmati rice. Need I say more? Yes, the customer service is on point and the chef even came out to ask how everything was. Small space but ginormous in flavors. Can't wait to come back

What are the gluten-free options? The V on the menu is marked but not GF or the word "gluten." I could make assumptions (no Tabouleh) but I'd like to be sure.

I would suggest calling the restaurant and ask someone (the chef) your question!!! The staff is good there, I'm sure someone can answer that question!!!…

Can you bring your own beer and wine?

No! Not when they sell it in the restaurant!!!!!

Having not had Persian food before, we were grateful for our friendly and knowledgeable waiter. He also showed me how to find what art was hanging if I was curious. Definitely went above and beyond to make us feel taken care of. We ended up getting the eggplant and hummus dip with levash and the Persian room special player which included saffron rice, chicken, filet mignon, and koobideh, who was like a meatball that was cooked on a skewer. Everything was so good, the chicken was actually my favorite it was so juicy. Took a baklava home and it was so good! My husband asked about the bread and we were told that it is not gluten free. It was busy, with several families with young children. Someone came right over and gave us water and bread with onions, herbs and butter. My husband said the bread was good. Our server arrived shortly and told our drink order. When she returned with our wine, we ordered the Dolmas appetizer. It didn't take long for the appetizer to arrive and we both enjoyed. We hadn't eaten for many hours so we were quite hungry and ready to enjoy eating. Our entree's took a bit longer to arrive. My husband got the Lamb Loin and said it was quite good. It was a generous portion. I didn't get a photo because it disappeared quickly. I got the Chicken Barg Sultani, which was tasty and an extremely generous portion. I ended up bringing half of it home. I wouldn't call the Persian Room a romantic restaurant, as it was quite noisy when we were there. It is more of an old school, upscale decor with a casual feel. Most people were in shorts and t shirts. It was the dinner hour, so perhaps it would be more quiet earlier or later. There are a lot of choices on the menu, a full bar and an eclectic wine list. We have tried a lot of restaurants in the four years we've lived in Tucson. Most of the time I think it would have been better if I'd cooked it myself. Sometimes it's just nice to not have to shop for a variety of ingredients. This was one of those times. We wanted something different, and the experience was enjoyable.

But upon pick up, I asked if it was enough to feed 2 adults and a teen and the lady at the counter it was good enough for 3 people but I ordered another just in case. First of all, kinda nice I got to order the lunch combo for dinner. A few bucks less than shareable and it came with a drink. It is pricey but so are fast foods these days. The chicken was very flavorful and juicy, it goes well with the rice. The koobideh was a miss for me, not as flavorful as I was expecting. I've been to the San Jose location many many times and the koobideh is just not the same. With that being said, my son, who has been craving for Persian food for a while now says if we can't go to Persian Room, we will just have to order a catering rice and a bunch of chicken kabobs "you can't really go wrong with their rice and chicken!" It's unfair to compare this place to Persian Room. It's like comparing a pick up restaurant to a well known sit down establishment. I'm sure they are still working out all their quirks as they are still new, but this will be our new go to Persian restaurant. I just wished they were in a better location I'm sure the foot traffic would be different. Now if they can only bring Maiwand Market type of bread here... lol

You might ask why 3 stars when I definitely recommend this place…read more Let's start with the food. The food is definitely quality. The chicken was tender and I didn't have to cut out ligaments or large pieces of fat like some places. The same went for the steak. The Koobideh was tender and not overly fatty or tough but like the other meats they were in my opinion under seasoned. I get that seasoning level is highly subjective but there are a couple of other places in the area that I consider well seasoned. Both of which if my only choice was the Koobideh I would choose first. My choice here would be the chicken and or the steak. Both entrees came with rice that was light and fluffy. Like most Persian restaurants the veg is one tomato. It would have been nice to have some onions and fresh mint though to go with the lavash. Although I'm more a Greek pita kind of guy. But, that's a personal preference. The lavash was good and doesn't overwhelm the meat. The service. They are busy so you are going to want to order online. When I came in the workers were busy filling orders, including mine. It took a few minutes for them to stop and ask if I was ordering or had put in an order online. One kid was pretty good at keeping things going and making sure that the orders were filled properly. Well, that's what it sounded like. The problem with carry out is you take it on faith that what's in the bag is what you actually ordered. When I got home I found that one of my orders had chicken and not steak. Although I only live 15 minutes away from the store it's not like you want to drive back and correct things when everyone is hungry and you aren't allergic or offended by chicken. That and the app I used had a fairly large discount. The appetizer combo. It consists of a few ounces of Hummus, some tatziki and some cucumber salad. In my opinion a small amount of all of these should actually be included with each meal. Since I used uber eats and they had a special where if you spent x you got the appetizer combo free, so it actually did, but if you don't use the app it won't be free. In other reviews people complain about the price. The one entree that includes the 3 meats could easily feed 2 adults if not three. With the 2 entrees we fed 3 adults and one a 6'4" 240 pound 21 YO. A few others complained about the "limited" menu. This isn't The Persian Room. For the limited space the menu has pretty much the most popular items of every Persian restaurant. You're not coming here for date night or a birthday or anniversary celebration. This is not a place where you're going to bring a date or sit down and enjoy a meal at the restaurant. The tables are more suited for taking your SAT's than eating lunch or dinner. You can eat there but it's not even like Taco Bell or Mc Donald's. If I were alone and looking for a quick lunch I'd eat at one of the tables. Half of the restaurant space has what looks like the set of a house band. That's because the owner moved his band out of the garage or basement and has invited musicians to come jam with him on Tuesday nights after the restaurant closes. In my opinion they close too early. 7:00 PM is pretty much when I start thinking about dinner. But as the owner said, when I had a conversation with him. You can pick up the food most anytime they are open and serve it when you're ready. Don't let my 3 stars keep you from trying the place. There are plenty of reasons to eat here or at least try it and see if the spice levels are to your taste. The sign outside says they have a very large number of 4 or more star reviews so odds are pretty good you're going to like it. And I liked it too. Just not enough to make it one of my once a week or more places.
