Lunch Special - Beef Koobideh Kabob
    Katie L.

Stopped in since it just recently opened near our house. Inside is very casual and spacious. The cashier was very friendly. We ordered 2 of their lunch specials which comes with a plate, drink and small side w/ pita. The food was good but portions are definitely lacking. $15 for one kabob and rice. The pita they gave us was very small and they only gave us one to share. I want to try again but they definitely need to work on portions.

Still sad this place closed! It's amazing! The owner did a great job fighting through construction imposed difficulties on his business. I wish him the best of luck

Had a problem with the website not allowing me to order on my computer but I was able to call and place order over the phone. The lunch special hit the spot. The chicken was moist and flavorful and the rice was fluffy and perfectly cooked. A great fast casual option.

Ordering food online was never that easy. Self explanatory, easy to navigate website was texted to me when I called restaurant. Ordered food, was given time when food will be ready. When I arrived was greeted by a very friendly gentleman. Gave him my name and got the food. Restaurant looked very clean and spacious. The smell of kabab was filling up the entire place. When I got home I opened up the tray and was very pleased with the high quality kabab, full of flavor and fresh.

My combo included Shirazi Salad. Yum

New Kabob place in Chandler! Recently opened sister store of their other location in San Jose. Great looking menu and the gentleman behind the counter gave me the rundown on what's what. I went for the Combo meal of Chicken and Beef Koobideh with rice along with Shiraz Salad. Both meats were flavorful and very moist. The portions were not large and at $24 bucks might have been nice to have a few more vegetables then just one Roma tomato. I'd be more likely to go back for one of their bundles for a family meals than buy just lunch for myself at $24. Inside seems set up for take out and catering rather than a sit down type of place. Tables and folding chairs if you want to eat in.

Phenomenal lunch special! The beef was the softest I've ever tasted and the chicken was juicy, the rice was nice. Serene ambience with lo/fi music in the background and just a pleasant place. Mike's customer service was also sweet as you can tell he truly cares about delivering the most optimal experience one can enjoy. I plan on coming back!

The staff was nice and helpful, confusion on menu as it may have changed. The positives: chicken was very good. Good portions. I wanted to split between veggie and chicken and they accommodated. The negatives: price point is for sit down but it's take out. Over $20 for a simple single meal is a lot. Rice was dry and veggies lacked any flavor. To do better: fix the rice, flavor the veggies, and aim for a $15 meal with a little of more variety of options- even adding a tiny hummus and tiny salad would make it a good buy and get more return customers. All in all, not a place I would run back to and I was hoping it would be a good healthy dinner. Instead I ate chicken and the grilled baby peppers and tomato but threw away the dry rice and other veggies.

A wonderful restaurant with some of the best Mediterranean food to be found in the whole of Phoenix let alone the east valley. Love that the menu is not huge but instead very specialized to what people actually want. 10/10 Steak and Koobideh Plate Rice - well seasoned and fluffy Cucumber salad - tart, crisp and fresh herbs Koobideh - moist and seasoned well Steak - well seasoned not chewy Friendly and helpful service from the Chef Very clean dining area with ample seating You will not be disappointed trying them out if you are in the Chandler area

This is like high end quality food in a hole in the wall type of atmosphere. Basically what we alll love! The meats are just superb. You can't go wrong with any choice. Family owned and the staff is just so nice. They serve lots of tray options to feed your whole family. Of course they have individual meals too. Everything they make is of the highest quality. You won't be disappointed!

Trio Plate - Beef Koobideh Steak Chicken
    Black Wolf R.

The food was just ok. The standout was the chicken which was moist and tender. The koobideh was flavorless and lacked seasoning and spices. The steak was thin and also lacked flavor. I was excited about trying this place out but sadly was disappointed with the expensive price point and overall experience. The tables and chairs are cheap and uncomfortable for a place that is charging so much for so little. The service was friendly but it took a good 20 minutes to get my food which in this drab waiting/dining area was simply not worth it. The size of the salad and hummus was ridiculously small. Think KFC micro dosing of sides and the cut up square pieces of lavash ? What's up with that? . No thanks. Good luck "Real Kabob" if this is real I want to try fake just to compare.

Hi, yes, all our meats are certified halal

Do they only serve chicken thigh? Can you order white meat chicken instead of thigh meat?

Hi! At our Chandler location, we currently serve chicken thigh only due to its juiciness and overall flavor. Hope to serve you soon!

This a counter service restaurant, so once we paid we were fortunate to grab a table with only two available inside. Our food arrived about 10 minutes later. Everything looked soooo appetizing on the menu and since I was going to meal prep this week, the Al Sham Chicken Combo caught my eye. For $15, you get little cute pieces of chicken shawarma with 2 dips! I was in love with the red sauce and wish the garlic sauce was more garlic-y but it was good either way! The kofta was great as well but would definitely come back more for their shawarmas but it's definitely the best bang for your buck I also got some baba ganoush on the side to dip my fries in but unfortunately, I thought the baba ganoush was too lemony/there was too much sumac added so it wasn't as enjoyable. Most baba ganoush I've tasted in my hometown also had a smokey flavor to it from the eggplant so it really couldn't compare.

Some restaurants chase trends. Others just quietly keep making really good food year after year…read more This is one of those places. I'd been here several times years ago, and after coming back, I'm honestly wondering why I don't eat here more often. I ordered the chicken shawarma, a stuffed grape leaves platter, and hot tea. Everything was exactly what I hoped it would be. The chicken was well-seasoned, tender, and wrapped with the classic toppings, and the portion was fair for the price. Speaking of price, the value here is honestly hard to beat. The stuffed grape leaves platter came with hummus, tabbouleh, pita, and hot stuffed grape leaves. I had completely forgotten they serve them warm, and my brain needed a minute to recalibrate because I'm so used to cold dolmas everywhere else. Once I took a bite, though... yep. That's how they're supposed to taste. Soft, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. I ended up adding some of the hummus and tabbouleh to my shawarma, which made an already great sandwich even better. The service was just as impressive as the food. My server was genuinely kind, gave me a few extra minutes when I couldn't decide, checked in without hovering, and even offered to package my hot tea to go when he noticed I was still working on it. (For the record, ordering an entire pot of tea for one person was an ambitious life choice on my part.) The dining room isn't huge, and there's also a small market attached, which adds to the charm. This place reminds me that consistency is underrated. Years later, I came back, and it was just as good as I remembered. Great food, great service, great value. I'll try not to wait so long before my next visit.

Visiting, from California, some dear friends in Mesa, we ventured through the triple-digit heat for about 20 minutes to get there. Even they as locals had never heard of the place, hidden amidst miles of chain stores and strip malls. But it wasn't long before we were all singing its praises and vowing to return. Across the board, every dish was peak: ultra-creamy and subtly garlicky hummus; silken, appropriately smoky baba ghannouj; perfectly crisp, tender, not-doughy-inside falafel; and herby tabbouli, light (but not vanishingly so) on the bulgur in the Levantine style. These basics always make or break such a restaurant, and they were all outstanding. Add to this seldom-seen delights like foul medamas (fava-bean soup), four variants of ghallabah (grilled meats or seafood), chack-chouka/shakshuka (eggs poached in tomatoes and onions), and two types of pita baked on premises and served from the oven--all in generous portions and at reasonable prices--and it's worth the drive wherever you are in Phoenix and environs. I would eat here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if I lived here. I will absolutely return on my next visit.

The waitress never gave us or offered us any refills on drinks. She was gone most of the night. There's an upcharge for fresh bread and so I said yeah, we'll do it. She said she'd bring out the pee-packaged pita bread and the fresh bread that we paid extra for. Then she never brought out the pee-packaged stuff like she said she was going to. The bread was ok, but they only gave us 3 pieces of pita bread which were about the size of a sand dollar. This was not enough bread for 2 people with 3 dips. Also, the fries were the kind of fries you get when it looks like they haven't cleaned the grease in a while. The babaganoush was really good. But everything else was pretty mediocre. I've been here 3 or 4 times and everytime I feel as though the service is bad and the food is overpriced. It's really sad, but I want to like this place, but I can't. Also, they have a rewards program but my waitress didn't try to get me to sign up. I asked when I saw it. It's a pet peeve of mine. But- I guess she doesn't really care or offer it because she probably doesn't think people will come back. My friend who joined me tonight is Muslim and she needed a place to pray, but this place didn't have one. I was surprised to learn that tonight as well. Spend your money elsewhere.
