Around the holidays, I had the opportunity to try Just Love Coffee Cafe. We had Nanna's Cinn Rolls, which were a decent sweet treat. However, the drinks were another story. We had seasonal beverages including an iced eggnog latte and an iced cookie butter latte. I would say the eggnog latte was not sweet enough and felt watery, but the cookie butter latte was ridiculously sweet. I could only semi-enjoy these drinks when I tried mixing them together since the flavors alone were fine. I also noticed the employee defaulted to size large for both beverages, so with oat milk the drinks were almost $9 alone. While the interior is spacious and has a cool breakfast-time aesthetic, the coffee here is underwhelming and overpriced. read more

I'm always looking for a new coffee place and got excited when found out about this one. It's open, feels comfortable, inviting. It was unfortunate there were about four people there for a bit, then it was only us. You like to hear the bustle of a busy place, but perhaps it was the wrong Sunday afternoon. We ordered a couple of coffees, waffle and muffin. I did a triple take on the total as it was $37 without even including a tip. No way. Couldn't be. That just seemed unreasonable, especially when the waffle was over greased (food is not their strong suit). Maybe this is the reason their lacking customers. Yes, I'm glad I visited, but no, there are much better value coffee houses in the area, with more bustle to boot. read more

There is not much to say but there isn't much food they make there. Most of any pastries or desserts are brought in. The couch looked like it was maybe at a frat or cat house before, and tables weren't clean. The coffee was okay. The service came with a smile though. Wouldn't recommend for breakfast. Place looks nice, clean, and staff was very nice, but the menu was very limited and the food wasn't that good. It was around $60 for avocado toast, a Belgian waffle, a "Womelete", and two regular coffees. The avocado toast was basically store bought guacamole on slice of white toast with a couple tomato and cucumber slices on the side as a garnish. For $13 it really should have been made with some fresh ingredients at least as its a high enough margin entry to begin with. After one bite there was a completely out of place flavor which was either dried oregano or Italian seasoning sprinkled on top that completely destroys it. I'm not sure if it was an attempt to make it look fancier, or what, but it was terrible. The "Womelete" was essentially burnt carton poured scrambled eggs cooked in a Belgian waffle iron with sprinkled shredded cheese on it and folded it in half. The cheese was still cold and not even melted, and was very skimpy on the other ingredients noted. It was described as having sausage, peppers, and onions - however I not even kidding there was one or two pieces of sausage about the size of a tic-tac in the whole thing. It had a taste to it that I think was burnt oil probably from what was sprayed on the hot waffle iron or maybe residue from a waffle cooked prior. Kids menu has half a waffle and bacon for $10 which seemed steep, so ordered the full waffle for $13 to split for the kids. The waffle was super dense and doughy, not like what a Belgian waffle typically would be. It was actually a little chewy, which was just a really odd texture for a waffle. It had a different flavor that was apple or cinnamon in it, which wasn't bad but the texture thing for the waffle was odd. Best way to describe it was more like an italian zepoli for those out there that know what I mean. Bottom line it was very expensive for no table service, and the food isn't that good either. The focus was way more on the decor than the menu, and you're paying a big premium for it. You would be WAY better off heading to a place for breakfast like Toast, which is similarly priced with way better food AND table service if you want it. Didn't try the lunch menu which could be better, but won't be going back to find out. read more

We love supporting local businesses, so we decided to visit Just Coffee for breakfast. The cafe was clean and well kept. The cashier was welcoming and knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered a combo that had a nice and light flakey taste with scrambled eggs and bacon. It was very tasty. The womelette was stuffed with sausage, peppers and cheese. It was very unique, yet very good. However, it was missing a complimentary item such as homefries or toast. The coffee was just average and prices were a little above average for the portions given. Just Love Coffee Cafe is a chain with an outpost in Matawan. We went midweek around three o'clock. My wife had a waffle plate with assorted breakfast meat (bacon/sausage/ham) with a small bowl of fresh fruit, which she said was just okay. I had the grilled cheese with pesto which was delicious. I had coffee, my wife a chai latte which she said was one of the best she has ever had. Service was good, you order at the counter, receive your beverage and the food is delivered to your table. Lumberjack Latte was fabulous, also had breakfast burrito another score....The staff were very pleasant and courteous, the owner was extremely friendly and wonderful to chat with. She treats all her customers very well. Pricing are comparable to what most prices are TODAY!! BUT pretty reasonable considering the quality of the food, one of the best burritos I have had in a looong time. Love their speciality lattes but always had an issue with the food orders. My favorite is the coco loco iced latte. I've ordered the breakfast burrito a few times and only once has it been made right. This place has horrible service, everytime I go they either forget to make my coffee and I sit there for well over 10 minutes without my coffee, and the food always takes super long to come out; couple of times my food ended up being cold in the middle. Today I went and ordered a coffee and the person at the register told me that the coffee machine didn't work, so I decided to order food instead and they told me kitchen was closed. Why are you still open for the day if you can't handle or fix the problems in your own business? you can tell that multiple customers were upset about it and so was I. The saddest breakfast I ever ordered. Have never been to the location but I ordered off of DoorDash. A $50 order which consisted of some kind of mini waffle sandwich which was $15 and supposed to be a breakfast burrito, the saddest chicken and waffles I've ever seen(chicken was not edible), and half a "tater cake".
