Got a Turkey and Provolone with everything on it. The sandwich tasted fine. The staff super friendly and fast so I would come back. However, when compared to their location in Hillsborough I would say they used way less meat. Meat portion here was definitely on the light side. read more

I was reading all of the reviews going back to five years ago before Johnny owned it. Seems almost unfair that the less than positive reviews were from before he owned the establishment. I I see that when Jonny took over, it's been nothing but stellar reviews and rightly so. I go there not only for the convenient location but for the consistent good quality product they serve. Delicious soups and sandwiches! I regularly order the roast beef sub on a wheat roll. The meat is plentiful and the custom additions such as lettuce, tomatoes, onion, different dressings, hot peppers, pickles, oil and vinegar, spices are always perfectly added to my request and liking. They have delicious cookies and local biscotti and a great variety of drinks. I get the root beer that goes great with my sandwich and chips. This place will always have me for a customer. They make great subs just the way I remember having them as a kid. The guys working the counter are nice and friendly and will talk you through the menu if you need it. Quick service, fair prices for the size of the subs they give you. This is a classic NJ deli with no frills or anything fancy, just good sandwiches at a decent price. The reason I just had to write this review however, is because they went above and beyond for me. It was my son's birthday and we were picking up a $300 catering order, but their internet was down and I couldn't pay by card and the ATMs in the area were down too because of the internet outage. Not a problem, the guy just took down my phone number and told me to call the store after the party and he could charge my card over the phone when they got the internet working again. They let me walk out with $300 worth of food with just the promise that I'd call to pay by card later that day; subway isn't gonna do that. Later that night I called the store, the guy remembered me and took my payment no problem. read more

Everything is custom made to order from a decently sized menu of toppings, meats, and cheeses. The portion sizes are generous and the price is reasonable. Using Quality Dietz & Watson cold cuts, fresh cut veggies, and fresh baked bread, Just Subs delivers on taste every time provided by friendly staff. The interior looks like your standard deli aesthetic that seats 30+ and is generally clean with the occasional crumbs left by previous patrons. Parking is shared with the grocery store next door so it is rarely an issue if at all. Overall, Just Subs Clinton gets the job done, and does it well. read more

If you have an Allstate reward coupon for local offers "Just subs" it's not worth anything. They will not honor it. They are on the list for the Clinton Store and they are saying it's for Flemington. Clearly listed for Clinton NJ. You should have honored the coupon and then had it fixed. I am thinking that you are just playing me. I bet if I go to Flemington they will tell me no it's for Clinton. Now I will be going to Jersey Mike's or Max's in Califon, NJ. Your subs have been slipping downhill anyway..... read more

I grew in Clinton, NJ and this sub place was by far my favorite. The subs are cheap, delicious and you can put anything on them! Plus, they have an icee machine... what else do you need? My favorite sub there is definitely the buffalo chicken. I get it every time I go back home. read more

We are traveling and we almost went to the Subway across the road, but we opted for the local sandwich shop and boy are we glad we did! The bread was delicious, meat juicy, the toppings generous, we managed to get there right before their afternoon rush, and we were wowed by the size of the portions. Definitely a great value for the price. The only downsides were the bathrooms which were poorly maintained and the lengthy time we had to wait at the counter to check out. If we lived in the area we'd make this a regular stop. Definitely a Jersey-style sub worth venturing off the highway for! read more

I ordered chicken noodle soup and when I opened up the container it looked like dirty water with soggy noodles. There was 1 piece of chicken and no seasoning, celery, carrots, etc. Someone should google how to make GOOD chicken noodle soup! I dumped it down the drain! read more

Ended up here b/c Sub Base was closed. They are using mediocre quality meats and they don't put a lot of meat on the sub either. Cash only is also a problem. Would have been better off picking up a $5 foot long or sub at ShopRite instead. $11 for an Italian sub and we weren't satisfied. Wouldn't go again. I was on my way home to Ohio and we needed to grab a bite to eat. Saw a sign for Subway and that's where we were headed. Well we didn't see it and happened upon this place. All I can say is that we (my family 4 of us ) were so so pleased. I had the chicken salad. It was so so good. I definitely would recommend that. My sister had an Italian sub loved it.
