Charming little café right on the main road--though be warned, it's not exactly quiet thanks to a constant parade of motorcycles. Bonus: it's BYOB, which is always a win. That said, we were served our drinks in paper cups because they were short on clean glasses--quirky, but forgivable. We chose to sit outside since it was such a gorgeous day, but the experience was a bit dampened by the swarm of gnats. They were relentless, even dive-bombing into our food and drinks, which was... less than ideal. Now, the real hero of the day: the food. My salmon? Spot-on--perfectly cooked, super flavorful, and gone way too fast. And the curry vinaigrette? Never had it, didn't know what to expect, but wow. Totally unexpected combo, and somehow it just worked. I wasn't planning to lick the plate, but let's just say it crossed my mind. Overall, it's a cute spot nestled in a charming little town with some nice shops--great for a day trip, especially if you're feeling patient and in the mood for a little character with your meal.

It was a beautiful October morning when we came so we ate outside even though there were signs cautioning us about the bees. The inside was pretty full and smelled "diner-y. Dealing with the bees & flies wasn't that big of a deal- they just wanted some food, but they were definitely present. I ordered the "bliss" which was scrambled eggs & bacon with cream cheese on an English muffin. It was good. Filling. The potatoes it came with were cooked perfectly.

I had the cafe benedict- the fried green tomato with lime guacamole was sooo delicious. i loved every bite. the place is a bit smaller so we went in with a group of 5 and one of us sat in a chair on the side and it was a bit squishy. but i would come back again. my brother got the breakfast sandwich and i got a little bite- it was amazing!

We were driving through this adorable town and stopped into this cafe The ambiance was adorable, a typical small town charm spot The service was magnificent, we sat with Donna who was so friendly and helpful . She suggested a few plates and when we told her we were from out of town and were going hiking she grabbed another local who worked there that she knows hikes to tell us about some other spots to visit , we were really happy with the service here . The food .. I can't brag enough about how good it all was. My husband got the Patagonia tostadas , there were great, I ordered the rancheros which were spectacular, the flavor was just perfect. and then we split the Nutella French toast.. I'm not a French toast person and I was fighting my husband for the last piece ... yes, that good lol ! This spot is also a dog friendly spot, we were sat with no issues and they brought him water without having to even ask . I hope to be back !!

The Frenchtown cafe is a great place to stop if you are enjoying a day walking around the artsy town shopping, swimming, fishing , or tubing the Delaware, or taking a scenic ride along river road. We were seated quickly even on a busy day. The cafe is cute inside and has a great porch for outdoor seating. Our waitress , Raquelle, was fantastic! We tried a bunch of brunch foods but I only got pictures of 2!!! We were all so excited to dig in! Everyone was happy with their flavored iced coffees too! They have some nice, unusual things on their menu, including sweet potato home fries.

Stopped in for lunch and completely disappointed by the turkey club I was given! $17.99 for a petite little wrap is just out of this world! If you are looking for subpar average ingredients at top prices, I would go to this joke of a cafe! But hey they gave me a couple kettle cooked chips on the side! lol place is a rip off! Spend you money elsewhere!:)

Small quaint cafe. It's the sister restaurant to one of our favorite breakfast places (Sky Cafe). Very busy on the weekends and holidays so make sure you join the waitlist rather than just standing in line. Service was efficient but a little brusque, not exactly friendly but then they were very busy. Most importantly the food: above average but not as good as the sister restaurant. Omelette ok but was missing the mushrooms requested, it was burned on the edges and was a bit greasy. French toast was above average but nothing special and the strawberries were starting to go brown. On top of everything else the toilet was broken. Maybe it was a bad day here but we'll stick to the Sky Cafe in future.

Food- it is pretty good. My eggs were perfect. French toast was made with a regular bread which was a little dry. But Nutella covers all matters of bread sins. Service- friendly and attentive Parking- street parking available Value- It is good value for the money. Prices are quite reasonable Overall: This is a very cute place that should be a stop, a eatery that you keep coming back every now and then

This historic location was a rest and play stop for literary and theater New Yorkers in the 20s and 30s and probably beyond -- check out the famous signatures and notes in the albums in the main living room. The owners keep a handful of rescued farm animals (pot-bellied pigs, mini ponies, goats), and it is clear they are well cared for. It is a busy place for big wedding events now, and so we like to stay during the week. It is very relaxing to walk around the grounds. We saw a giant heron in the pond and deer strolling. There are so many nice places to sit outside with a bottle of wine and a book or snacks. Rooms are very unique and comfortable. You have a lot of different personalities to choose from: lofts, cabins, barn spaces, etc. Many have jacuzzis which can provide your evening entertainment, lol. We have not eaten in the restaurant because our top restaurant on earth is very close by, but when it was closed, Josh gave us great recommendations. And he made a lovely tofu scramble for breakfast as a special request. One sweet touch: despite checking the room, we left without my spouse's expensive phone charger. Housekeeping found it and ran after us before we could drive off without it. She did not have to do that. Always tip your housekeeping staff. The extended Covid months have been very hard on inns, restaurants, and event spaces, and it must be stressful for them as things come back to life when so many events have been postponed. It is wonderful to be back out again. We will return -- a lot.

The Barley Sheaf is very serious about pandemic precautions, so masks are in full effect, and they'll walk you to your socially-distanced table in a beautiful, outdoor gardening setting. The inn itself is an architectural delight, as well, so you are surrounded by beauty on all sides. Service was pleasant and forthcoming. I wouldn't say that this is the finest level of dining, of course, you're not expecting EMP in the middle of Bucks County, but this is a good attempt, and people are pleasant and quite dignified. The guests were all well attired and the crowd is polite and kind. Food is of the adventurous character, which I enjoy. A lot of different flavor combinations (they like to do salé and sucré), beautiful plating, interesting textures, and good cooking techniques. My favorites were the octopus appetizer (so buttery soft and tender, which is a rarity) and the pheasant special, which was a pleasant and apropos surprise in this outdoor, country setting. Finally, this is a BYOB restaurant with perfectly selected wine glasses, fine silverware, and other special touches such as a freshly starched linens, etc. which elevate the dining experience.

Best breakfast-for-dinner ever…read more We stumbled upon this absolute gem on a freezing, rainy evening after an outdoor event, just looking for a warm bite to eat around dinner time. My partner found this spot while searching nearby, and oh how happy I am that he did! I had been craving blueberry pancakes for days and was so excited to have a rare breakfast-for-dinner treat. From the moment we walked in, the warmth of the place completely melted the cold away. We were greeted by a wonderful, incredibly kind waitress, and the atmosphere inside was just so cozy and comforting. There was a lovely mix of people having their supper, including a sweet family of seven eating dinner together at the table next to us. It just had that perfect, welcoming community feel. The menu was seriously impressive. My other half ordered the southern chicken sausage gravy dinner, and it was phenomenal! I got my blueberry pancakes- my absolute favorite - and they completely exceeded expectations. I also tried the lentil soup, which was packed with flavor. Honestly, I don't think you could have a bad meal here if you tried. Our waitress (the same lovely woman who greeted us) chatted with us for a bit and was just so delightful and attentive. I even spotted a rice pudding with strawberries and whipped cream on the dessert menu that looked right up my alley, but between my pancakes and stealing a few delicious bites of the chicken dinner, I was far too full this time around! As we left, I noticed the pretty flowers and the outdoor picnic tables. I'm sure this place absolutely hops on weekend mornings, but it was the perfect rainy evening escape for us.
