This small bakery doesn't look like much from the outside but inside is everything you could dream of & then some. Whether you're looking for blueberry scones, chocolate croissants, danishes, muffins or other baked goods you'll find it here cooked to perfection. Coffee crumb cakes, cinnamon rolls, cookies & so much more. If you're looking for savory items they have a delicious quiche assortment, croissant sandwiches, focaccia & my favorite, the croque madame. This is by far one of the best breakfast bakery items I've ever had. The egg is always a perfect sunny side up with a runny yolk that covers this piece of heaven when you cut into it. The Gruyère cheese is rich with a nice sharpness making it a great pairing with the ham & béchamel sauce inside the buttery flaky outer bread. I also really enjoy their Italian rainbow cookies & red velvet cupcakes. Both always hit the spot. They're soft, moist, & packed with flavor. You really can't find better anywhere else. As you'd expect, they craft a great latte here as well. Their espresso is brewed with a bold body. Your drinks are made exactly how you ask them to be & accurate every time. The cold brew is also a good choice. You can really taste the flavor of the brew because it's steeped properly. Service is always fantastic, A+ all around. Jonathan & his team are so friendly & create some of the most delicious baked goods around. You can see how much he cares about the products he serves so it's impossible not to support such an amazing small business. Whether you're near or far you need to make the trip here. It's well worth it, you won't be disappointed!

Cozy, bustling cafe in Davie. The tight inside space with a visible bakery kitchen definitely added to the unique charm, letting me watch the pastries being made while waiting for my order. This cafe had a high turnover of customers but still manages to keep things moving quickly. Sat at an outside patio table on this cool day. The flaky chocolate croissant with an espresso was the perfect combo for this kind of setting for about $5.00. The atmosphere felt welcoming, even with the staff being more professional than warm.

Time for an updated review of my favorite local bakery. If you haven't been here, walk don't run if you want to try some of the best cookies, pies, pastries, breakfast sandwiches (weekends only) focaccia and quiche. Jonathan the owner has been tantalizing tastebuds with his delicious goodies for years and he's a master at what he does. The quiche here is some of the best you will find anywhere and another personal favorite is the Croque Madam. Either of these two items or even both of them are a must if you visit here. The giant cookies are so good and they usually have snickerdoodle, oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip. The muffins are moist and delicious and I've found the blueberry and chocolate are the best tasting but if you prefer something on the more tart side then cranberry is the one for you. He sells bags of baked cheese sticks that are delicious and a crunchy savory snack. They also bake cakes for whatever occasion and their cupcakes with cream cheese frosting are not to be missed! They offer several different kinds of coffees, their iced coffee is smooth and aromatic and never bitter. Finally, the staff here is amazing! Always so nice and so helpful. There are a few tables outside or you can just take your goodies to go. Please give this small local bakery a try, I promise you won't be disappointed!

I can't express how excited and happy I got when I found this bakery today. The food is sour of this world, best croissant I had in many years. The sweet selection is surprisingly versatile and fresh. The cappuccino was perfect. The staff extremely friendly and the place is well maintained. I will return here more often... come here and touch won't regret the experience. They are eve making King Cakes and beignets for Fat Tuesday!!!

Excellent breakfast, pastries, cakes, pies, breads... all freshly baked! Everything I have tried so far has been excellent. The foccacias are delicious! The quiche, breakfast sandwiches, and freshly baked cookies and pies are all outstanding. The place is a little small. The lines are usually long on weekends. However, it's worth the wait. It's more of a grab and go type of place. They have only a handful of tables and chairs if you wanted to sit and eat. The staff is friendly and the place smells amazing. If you have a sweet tooth... stop in for some treats. You won't regret it!

Hidden gem!! This place was recommended from an auntie who brought pastries for a party. I too needed to bring pastries to a party and so happy with the gluten free chocolate cake, which was fudgy and delicious even for those who can tolerate gluten and still enjoyed it. The fruit tart had an incredible custard. Banana bread was so moist and perfect. My favorite of this trip was the chocolate almond croissant!!!! Wow weeee give me 5 a dem!! Dog friendly spot, cute outside space. A delightful bakery that I'm excited to try more items when we return. Staff was friendly and attentive, lots of free parking available in the plaza.

Delicious French pastries ! They have a great variety and everything was perfectly flakey and buttery. My husband got the butter croissant, I got the almond croissant....just wonderfully made and crafted. Their prices are very reasonable and the staff is really nice and friendly. This place is UNREAL. An absolute hidden gem in Davie! Incredible quiches, Croque madame, and the most incredible double chocolate almond croissant. Took home a cheese and guava danish, muffins; more croissants. Coffee is roasted locally from another small business and is so delicious. They are better than most french bakeries I've visited in Paris!! Run don't walk to this bakery! Located in the plaza with Wood You furniture. read more

Wow! That was the BEST pastries I had since .... Well never really. It was a a gem find while getting an oil change and stumbled upon this bakery. I ordered a croque madame and my taste buds were in heaven. Grabbed some amazing truffle quiches and some bread pudding to go. I wish I had 10 stomachs!! My new spot! Can't wait to come back for breakfast during the weekend and try the egg sandwich with truffle cheese!!! read more

JW Pastry is a cute bake shop located in a large almost desolate shopping center in Davie off of University Dr. There is plenty of parking available. They share their store front space with The Good Pie Company. I came looking for the Good Pie Company but was pleasantly surprised. Jonathan of JW Pastry sold items at a farmers market I used to frequent many years ago. Now he is at four farmers markets and shares a store with The Good Pie Company. When I found the shop I noticed the windows of the store. One half had The Good Company & the other JW Pastry but only one entrance. Confused I walked in and asked and this is when I found out they just share the store space. Some items are made by the Good Pie Company & some by the JW Pastry. They also ring you up separately. Intrigued by both I started selecting items. I chose a roasted garlic & Rosemary boule bread, vanilla cream puff and mini cranberry & walnut biscotti bag from JW Pastry. Everything was scrumptious. The bread had chucks of roasted garlic with a hint of rosemary, the cream puff had a light filling with a nice dough & crumble topping, and the mini biscotti were crisp & full of cranberries and walnuts. He carries a variety of items: from all types and sizes of cookies, macaroons, sweet & savory breads, tarts, etc. all made by him in house. Stop by and give his yummy treats a try. read more

I stopped over here because I heard that there is a great French style bakery tucked away. When I walked in I new I was not going to be disappointed. When you walk in you notice you can see the back of house preparing goods in plain view. Then when you walk up to the counter to order, everything is immaculately presented in neat little stacks and displays. And the drink options are great too, unlike most cafes or bakery they do have quite a few tea options, not just coffee. So I go up order, I mention it's my first time there. The lady was genuinely great introducing me to what they had to offer. I ordered a French butter croissant, and got a delightful croissant. A nice flakey exterior, a light and airy interior. This ain't just bread that looks like a croissant, it's a legit croissant. My only regret was that I did not take pictures. Overall, great bakery, if you want a great French style bakery this is the place to go. read more

I was the lucky wife yesterday whose hubby brought home a sampling from pastry artist, Jonathan! Sorry, no pictures as we enjoyed it all so quickly! We enjoyed a cream puff, almond chocolate croissant, and chocolate bread pudding with crème fraîche! We've saved the apple tart for last. Let me just say.....the custard inside was soooo good! I was surprised the light airy puff could hold so much cream! It left me wanting 10 more of those! The chocolaty layers of the croissant could only come from a professional baker. Loved the almond crunch! Our after dinner dessert was the bread pudding with a crème fraîche drizzle. The surprise was the chocolate inside. Delicious! I noticed this bakery after a salon appointment in the same plaza and was so excited to find a French bakery nearby. I looked through the yelp photos and knew this place was going to be good. Side note, checking in means a free chocolate chip cookie! The owner even warmed up the cookie to enjoy right away. The location is small but the flavors is anything but small! The kitchen is right behind the display so you see the owner work his magic which I found as a nice treat. If you love hazelnut, get the hazelnut eclairs! Looking forward to ordering my birthday cake from this location! read more

Support your local businesses! Jonathan did an excellent job on the cake and was amazing in bringing an idea to life. After seeing the selection of cakes he had previously done, I knew that coming to him was the best decision to make for a special occasion like this! Likewise, his bakery has a variety of pastries to choose from. His New York cheesecake is amazing, and I would highly recommend trying the selection of macaroons he has to offer! Soft as can be! I am in love with this pastry shop, I went here searching for a delicious creme brûlée and ohh boy did i find it. Jw pastry is perfect from the delicious food to the perfect staff. I found myself not only coming back but bringing my friends because i fell in love. The pastries were the best I've had in my life! And the coffee, wow! The staff and owner really know what costumer service is. They found out it was our anniversary and served us our pastries in a plate that had Happy Anniversary and two candles on it! Really lovely. Established in 2010.

After working for 20 years in the industry, Jonathan decided it was time to open his own place. It started at the local farmers markets under the name Cookielicious. After 5 years, a rebranding was born. Now JW Pastry is in the same storefront location Jonathan has been baking at the past 4 years but with a total facelift.

Meet the Business Owner: Jonathan W. G.

Jonathan has had a love for pastries every since 7th grade home economics class. Running a catering class in high school was the first sign that this was going to be his profession. Jonathan graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in 1997 and has worked in the countries finest hotels, restaurants , catering companies and country clubs. his attention to detail is something that he was born with and it shows it what he does each and every day.

I thought the matter was settled. I went outside, and my wife went back inside to wash her hands. The manager approached her to ask if she had ordered the quiche and requested the receipt, explaining that I had probably eaten an item I didn't pay for. My wife hadn't kept the receipt, so we couldn't confirm or deny it. Maybe the person at the counter added it to our order by mistake. Maybe the waitress brought it by mistake and confirmed it was ours by mistake. But ultimately, we didn't make the mistake. Don't harass customers over your own errors. Went here with my mom today, for a little treat and some espresso. We were greeted by one of the employees who had a completely blank look on his face. No friendly hello, no friendly anything. We chose a fruit tart, which my mom and I split. The vanilla custard or creme anglaise was very heavy and didn't taste like anything. The strawberries were not fresh and were rubbery, and the espresso was too dark. Anyway, upon entering the bakery, we noticed the filthy door right away, and the wall to the right which was entirely scribbled on with either marker or crayons. That didn't make for a good first impression. It just made it feel dirty in there. On top of that, I saw two people behind the counter, using their bare hands to smear some kind of cream or frosting onto a pastry or bread of some sort, which completely grossed me out. How about putting on some thin gloves and using a pastry bag or a spatula? This is a one and done for us. read more

THIS is what I call a bakery. The gem of all hidden gems. The crème de la crème I'm not a native of the area but on a random adventure on the search for coffee a friend and I found this cute little spot and my tastebuds couldn't thank me enough Have you ever felt a tear fall down your eye from pure joy of ecstasy and bliss while eating a croissant? No, I didn't think it was possible either. The almond croissant did just that, and to my surprise just when I thought I've reached the pinnacle of excellency, then I had a bite of the chocolate bread pudding desert and HOLY WOW. Speechless is the only explanation I can give. The texture, the taste the gooey deliciousness was mind blowing to say the least. The service above all was outstanding and don't even get me started on the truffle mushroom quiche pie because that deserves an entirely separate review on its own. Jon is the most humble baker..His background is Top Chef material and it definitely shows in his pastries and desserts. The bakery is a cute, tiny bistro filled with the best sweet tooth fixes you can crave for..and if it's not there..ask him..he can make it for you.. These guys are the REAL deal! I never liked Oatmeal Raisin Cookies until I tried theirs and now I'm hooked. I also had them make my daughter's birthday cupcakes and I couldn't have been more pleased! If you live in the area Stirling and University Drive this is place you must visit. I happened across this bakery and I am so glad I did. Really some of the best cakes and pastries in Broward Co. I recently had a Birthday cake made there and it was the best cake I have ever had. I also highly recommend the Apple Tarts, Almond Chocolate Croissants, Pecan Rolls, Cream Puffs and the Walnut Raisin Bread is out of this world. I would give this a 4.8 star. I ordered a cake form there and they did a stunning/ phenomenal job on the cake design. But the cake itself on the inside seem as if they had filling of some sort (which I didn't request or know). I tasted the cake and It tasted amazing without the custard. I bought one of the blueberry danish and it was great. It had soft, flaky pastry with fresh blueberries and some powdered sugar on top. Can't wait to go back and get another one! Cinnamon rolls and berry rolls are made fresh on Friday and Saturday so I had to get a cinnamon bun. My husband and I really enjoyed it. We also got a baguette which managed to be both crunchy and soft at the same time and we really enjoyed this as well. In addition to the baked goods I mentioned, they also offer sandwiches and different coffee drinks and have a cooler with drinks in case you don't want coffee. The store was clean and there were a few people sitting at tables. They had a nice selection of Latin pastries. The employee greeted me and told me she'd be right with me. There was one other customer in front of me ordering a cake to go. I was happy to have met the shop owner, Samara, and she recommended two things for me based on what I told her my dessert preferences were. I got both a lime cheesecake along with a Pavlova, which I have never heard of let alone ever tried before. The Pavlova was absolutely delicious. Basically what it is, it's a meringue cookie with a layer of caramel, whipped cream and decorated with thinly sliced strawberries.. I brought it home and within minutes it was gone, it was that good, she did tell me that was their number one seller and I could see why. I had a bite of the lime cheesecake, and it was also very delicious very light and airy with a great lime flavor, not too overpowering.. before I left the shop. I also did grab a bag of meringue which were $5.50. Most of the desserts in the shop are $6.50 except for the Pavlova, which is $7.50. The shop was very clean, and neat inside. A couple tables are available for customers to sit and enjoy their treats. It was nicely decorated and dimly lit.. The owner was super friendly and explained a little bit to me about their business and how that her and her mom own it together, and they originally started in sunrise, Florida, and a commercial kitchen.. If you're in the area and you're looking for a sweet treat, definitely stop by and try crumbs MIA you definitely won't be disappointed and chances are you'll meet Samara as well!

Also for those ones making comments they have been closed when they get there, it is because what they have displayed and available sometimes get sold out quick then I guess they close. But we just came on. Sunday afternoon 30 minutes before closing and it was open and with option to choose from.

I found my Crumble cookie cutter when we got home and used it to cut each cookie into 4 pieces so we could all try a little bit of each. I liked the Snickers and peanut butter but found it to be very rich. I'm glad we cut them into small pieces. Surprisingly, I liked the Berry Limeade Cookie. They had a wide, mouthwatering selection of cookies that made it nearly impossible to choose. I was torn between the Crispy Butter Sea Salt Caramel and the Golden Oreo Cookies & Cream, so I asked the friendly guy at the window for his recommendation. Without hesitation, he said the Golden Oreo was the one and wow, he did not steer me wrong. That cookie was everything I didn't know I needed soft, rich, and stuffed with the most heavenly cheesecake filling that was to die for. It was indulgent in the best way, and since the cookies are huge, it took me a couple of days to finish it (worth every bite!). You order from a window, which gives it a cool walk-up dessert bar vibe. There's also outdoor seating with benches along the sidewalk if you want to sit and enjoy the moment. I was able to get an assortment of items that included the éclairs and a coffee cake style pastry. The Tres leches eclair was very good but there was not much filling in it spread throughout. The center was filled but towards the end it was more a hollow eclair that left me disappointed. The baklava eclair was very tasty but also had the same issue I had with the Tres leches and the filling was not evenly distrubuted throughout. The dough was very flaky and I loved the flavor overall. The carnalized squares on top were a nice addition to the eclair! The staff here was insanely friendly when I picked up my order and I love how nicely decorated the place was, even though the front area is rather small where you order everything! At the prices of $6+ dollars for a single eclair, I feel like I should be able to have the flavoring and cream evenly spread through the eclair. Maybe I went on an off day judging by the other reviews but I'm not sure if I'll be back in the future because a majority of what I ordered seemed to be very lackluster on my visit unfortunately!
