I was super excited to try this place when I first heard about it. As a native New Mexican, I love spicy food. Although I heard from others that their chicken sandwich was super spicy so I got hot for my heat level. While eating my sandwich, I was slightly disappointed because it wasn't that spicy for me. My boyfriend also got the chicken sandwich with the extra hot heat level, and I tried his to see if it was spicier than mine and his tasted no different. We thought maybe the batch of chiles they used that day weren't as spicy as they usually are? We will definitely have to go back to see. One thing to keep in mind is that the sandwich doesn't come with fries, so if you would like fries on the side make sure to order them! The fries didn't seem like they had salt or any other seasoning on them, although they were crispy which I love. The cheese curds were also crispy and were super good when dipped in the green chile ranch. Sadly, while I was eating the sandwich my buns still fell apart despite being toasted. I'm assuming it was due to the amount of sauce that was put on. I was also hoping that the green chile ranch would be spicy, but it wasn't. Overall, the chicken was seasoned well, and it was juicy. I came here with high expectations. My food was not fresh. I tasted my boyfriend's meal and his tenders were steaming HOT. I was so upset bc my meal would have been 100000x times better. Love supporting local! My first time trying it and I am hooked. The chicken breading was crispy and tasty (and "hot" level was just right) and the meat was juicy and tasty. Both sauces - honey mustard and hot honey - were both great. But the fries were my favorite. Would go back just for the fries! The slaw was also good too. This place is amazing. First thing to know is that it is higher in price point but it's good quality food and big portion sizes. Secondly, their spicy is very spicy! This is coming from someone that eats all things at the spiciest levels. They have several levels of spice and to this day I DO NOT DARE to get the hottest level. I once got the level above hot and could barely eat my meal despite how delicious it was. For me the 'hot' level is my go to and is still pretty spicy. The chicken is so crispy and moist. The tenders are a good size too. The Tikka fries are my favorite and what I usually get from there. They chop up pieces of the chicken tenders and top them with delicious queso and tasty sauces. As a side note, I do love the Mac n cheese but do wish you got a bit larger serving size as the size is pretty small. Wife got the chicken and waffles - as you can see, very underwhelming by picture. But it was one of the best chicken and waffles I've had. Now, I'm not a huge chicken and waffles fan, and it's not a "Southern" take on it either. The waffle was light, fluffy, and the chicken was succulent, would get a higher level of spice on this. Interestingly, the medium on the chicken sandwich was pretty spicy but when alone like this form, I'd go even spicier, especially when you can balance it out with the syrup and waffle. KuKri.. always enticing, but a little intimidating. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't the heat that worried me, but the sheer diversity of options and lack of photos on their kiosk's menu. I have always enjoyed the KuKri chicken salad (can't go wrong if you're a fried chicken fan like me who is *trying* to be healthier), but today- oh, sweet payday- I wanted something heartier. The California burrito is sublime. I'm from California and I'll be the first to say, I don't love "California burritos" in the SoCal sense. The fries are often off-putting. But KuKri's sauce selection and that delicious breaded chicken... I had to give it a shot. I am so glad I did. Was wanting to try a new food spot in the ABQ area when I went to the 505 Food Hall. The service was alright, nothing special or horrible. I tried my medium spice level tender meal and it was dry and bland yet extremely spicy, even though I can handle heat. Next thing I had was the macaroni and cheese which was also bland, and it barely had cheese, I essentially got boiled noodles. I ended up going to a chain owned chicken place since unfortunately you can't try new places in New Mexico since 75% of the time everything ends up not tasting or being made right. I have to say upfront that I've only been here the once, and I intend to ty it one or two more times in case I just went on a bad day for them. Officially writing my 100th review for a place I miss and think about often - Kukri! While on a visit to New Mexico, we discovered Kukri on a random night after eating at another place inside the same food hall. I was ecstatic to see that they offered halal chicken! The next day we returned, but due to the unexpected snow they were closed. We tried again the day after and again, they were closed. On the third day, we gave it one last ditch effort and lo and behold, they were open! We ordered the tikka fries, chicken tenders meal, and green chili mac and cheese. The food did not disappoint!! The tikka fries (my favorite) were packed with flavor and absolutely amazing. The chicken tenders meal (I got hot) was delicious but it was actually really spicy - I had a hard time finishing it! The green chili mac and cheese was supposed to have a "kick", but it was a miss for me. Not that much flavor and no green chili in sight. Everything else was sooo good that it totally made up for it though. *From a Pakistani/Indian perspective, it's advertised as chicken tikka tenders but the chicken wasn't actually tikka flavored. It tasted like regular hot chicken but elevated/better. The tikka sauce they give on the side also didn't really taste like tikka. That being said, the food is still AMAZING. There aren't many good halal options in Albuquerque, so I am super glad to have found this place!! Definitely stop by if you're in the area. read more

After looking for a few minutes, I just stuck with the 2 finger meal, mild. I replaced the cole slaw with the mac & cheese. The food was pretty good. The chicken batter had a lot of flavor. When I let Joseph know that the syrup was cold even though he told me it was warm, he said he told me the waffle was warm, which it wasn't, When I asked if he could warm the syrup and waffle, he informed me that they do not have a way do warm it. I gave him back my food and asked for a refund. I completed a form and he said he would take care of it. When I checked my credit card today, the charge was on it.
