I've heard about this place for awhile but never had a chance to try it. It's in the food court of…read morethe fresh k international market. The supermarket is closed now, but there's a side entrance just for the food court. The seolleongtang is good and spicy. This is probably one of the best seolleongtang places in DFW but it's super hole in the wall place and has practically no reviews. The side dishes were really good; I especially loved the kimchi. The rice was cooked with millets and tasted great! Despite the spiciness, the broth was very flavorful. Portions are big enough that it can be a lunch but small enough so that you don't overeat if you finish it. Unfortunately, since fresh K closed, the place is pretty empty and looks like it could close at any time. However, that does mean more seating. Everything is self serve, but the staff will bring food to you if they aren't busy. Bring your tray back to the shop and put it on the shelf next to the shop. The staff was super nice and friendly.

Staff who work here are super kind and friendly. We tried the ox bone soup with noodles and it was the perfect comfort food! Portions were huge and the soup was so flavorful - it came with a sauce on the side but honestly you don't even need to use it. There is plenty of seating in the food court and service is pretty fast. Holangi Seollengtang could definitely function as its own standalone restaurant! You won't be disappointed.

Today we decided to split up to order a few different entrees - I headed to another spot and my friend ordered the Omurice with shrimp and chicken, pricey, but looked beautiful- flavor was not present. This was the same situation with the first time we visited and tried the katsu. Although the Omurice was not our favorite- we had quite a large portion remaining and wanted to take it home- I decided to get two to-go boxes from the food stall I ordered another dish from but forgot to ask for a bag. I decided to pop by this stall and ask for one instead- When I approached the young man was quite focused on setting up trays with forks and spoons, I patiently waited until he acknowledged me- then I asked twice for a plastic bag and he acted like he didn't hear me or didn't understand- then I pointed to the bag- he glanced down at my to-go boxes I obtained from the other food stall I patroned and rudely said "you are not our customer" after my friend spent almost $25 for our food and left a tip this is what he had to say to me- I embarrassingly added- "we are sitting over there and you can see we ordered the Omurice- he agreed. Very sad to be treated that way when I was courteous to him. He could have told me a million different ways- but that was unkind and embarrassing. What an unpleasant experience with lackluster food.

We also got the LA Galbi which was delicious and seasoned perfectly. The banchan was super fresh and complimented the food well. Staff was attentive and kind, great service. The place, which is tucked in the corner of the plaza, looks small from the outside but is pretty large and spacious inside. There are plenty of tables and even some small private rooms in the back. The boss lady was super nice and spoke English and Chinese in addition to Korean. The menu was simple and straightforward. For dine-in, seat yourself. We ordered Dami Galbijjim, LA Galbi, and a Baby Octopus Bibimbap to-go. Extra side dishes might be available upon request. Note - Dami Galbijjim and Hot Pot Galbijjim are the same dish, but the former is sized for 2 people while the latter is for 1 person. The food came out within 20 mins. Our food came in a cardboard box (easier to carry) because we ordered so much. The Galbijjim was absolutely delicious - sweet and spicy, super tender. The LA Galbi and bibimbap were alright, nothing special.
