Visited here twice now for some sushi, but no tacos. Other yelp reviews said it was delicious, so decided to give it a try. Mall food usually leaves me feeling gross, but this place is good! Staff is friendly and the food didn't take long at all. They give packets of soy sauce for the sushi, and have sriracha if you'd like some. They're located on the end of the food court. When we came last time, there was live music playing downstairs while we ate. I almost forgot we were at a mall. The rolls are large! The avocado are stuffed full of lots of avocado. The fried veggie roll and veggie roll are gigantic and tasty. We also had the avocado rice paper roll, and it was good too! Well worth the price, and quality was great. Will definitely be back if I find myself in the mall or area again. read more

I rewarded myself for a midday mall-walk with lunch at Sushi & Taco. This is surprisingly good for mall food, though I wouldn't drive across town per se. Luckily I live super close (can see mall from my house) so it's a great lunch option to go with my exercise. I had a volcano roll (nice and spicy!) and a spicy pork taco (also nice and spicy). It was just a tiny bit too much food for my lunch, not so much that I'm uncomfortable, but I could have eaten just a little less. I think a standard roll and a taco would have been just right for me volume wise, your mileage may vary. The tacos are street taco size and $2.10 a piece. The volcano roll is $9.25 but the standard rolls range from about $4.75 to $6 I think. So you can easily get a very economic lunch here in this nearly abandoned mall. read more

It feels weird to give a mall restaurant a 5 star rating, but this is definitely deserved! I'm shocked too! Vista Ridge Mall has been around forever, and the food court restaurants in my heyday were nothing like this. I was extremely surprised to see a sushi restaurant in the mall. "It must be pretty terrible," I said aloud as I curiously walked over to the bright menu displaying all sorts of different items. But thankfully my curiosity got the best of me and before I knew it the words "One avocado roll, please," was coming out of my mouth. I went and sat down at a mall table for the first time in like 5 years and eagerly waited for what my mall sushi roll would look like. Would it be tiny? Would the avocado be brown? Would the rice be hard? Well the answer to all these questions was a resounding no! The roll was huge, possibly the biggest roll that I have ever had. The avocado was perfectly ripe, soft, and full of delicious avocodoie flavor. The rice and seeds were fresh and made this one of the best rolls that I have ever had! I was so impressed by this little sushi heaven! My disbelieving face quickly turned to a happy smile as I devoured the rest of the roll. Knowing that this little gem is in the mall may take the sting out of actually having to go to the mall. So if you find yourself at Vista Ridge make sure you take a detour to the food court and give this place a try. read more

So surprised how good this place is!! It deserves 5 stars!! I had the bento box with spicy pork, it was delicious and alot of food. Everything was fresh which I absolutely love so make sure you have plenty of time for your lunch break because it does take a little while to get your food which I'm totally okay with since everything on my bento box was freshly cooked. Great food. I love the spicy pork tacos, sushi, egg rolls and miso soup! They cook everything fresh right in front of you nothing is pre made so it takes a minute but well worth it. I think next time I might try the spicy ramen! The owners are so so sweet! read more

There are some places that completely take you by surprise, and this is one of them. I have to admit I was a little nervous getting sushi at a mall food court, but I was honestly blown away by the quality of this sushi. I could not tell the difference between the salmon roll I got here, and the salmon rolls I get at my favorite sit down sushi restaurant. My mother had the chicken taco I believe, and she said it was outstanding and spicy! Yall, go to this place. We want to return to this mall very soon just for this food! I'm glad I listened to the good reviews here. Great sushi and excellent Korean/LA style tacos. (All prepared by one, enormously skillful woman). The only negative is Vista Ridge Mall is such a thoroughly depressing ghost town right now. I hope this place survives whatever happens to the mall later this month when it's auctioned again. It's much better than it should be for a mall food court restaurant. Give them some business so they can maybe get out of there and find a better site. read more

While my kids had to have grilled cheese from another restaurant in the food court and my wife went that route as well, I decided I'd brave a lesser known choice. While it seems like sushi is actually their specialty, I went with spicy chicken tacos. These were some of the best tacos I've had in a while, and such a surprise find in a place like this. I ordered three but my wife snatched one from me when she saw me hoovering the first one. We like going to Vista Ridge (Music City now I guess...) because my wife and I grew up going there and there are some nifty finds between the vacant storefronts. Finding this restaurant makes the mall a great meal time destination as far as I'm concerned. I had seen this place in the mall a few months ago and walked on by. A couple of days ago, I was at Vista Ridge Mall again and was looking for a place to grab a quick bite for lunch. I thought I would give it a try and I am so very glad I did! I just had the tacos (one of each pork, chicken, beef) and my, oh, my! So good! The tacos were very fresh and flavorful.
