It feels weird to give a mall restaurant a 5 star rating, but this is definitely deserved! I'm shocked too! Vista Ridge Mall has been around forever, and the food court restaurants in my heyday were nothing like this. I was extremely surprised to see a sushi restaurant in the mall. "It must be pretty terrible," I said aloud as I curiously walked over to the bright menu displaying all sorts of different items. But thankfully my curiosity got the best of me and before I knew it the words "One avocado roll, please," was coming out of my mouth. I went and sat down at a mall table for the first time in like 5 years and eagerly waited for what my mall sushi roll would look like. Would it be tiny? Would the avocado be brown? Would the rice be hard? Well the answer to all these questions was a resounding no! The roll was huge, possibly the biggest roll that I have ever had. The avocado was perfectly ripe, soft, and full of delicious avocodoie flavor. The rice and seeds were fresh and made this one of the best rolls that I have ever had! I was so impressed by this little sushi heaven! My disbelieving face quickly turned to a happy smile as I devoured the rest of the roll. Knowing that this little gem is in the mall may take the sting out of actually having to go to the mall. So if you find yourself at Vista Ridge make sure you take a detour to the food court and give this place a try.

Snake roll, veggie tempura roll, spicy pork, chicken and beef tacos, miso soup.

What a pleasant surprise to find such little gem in a run-down mall. Great quality food in a food court. Who knew :-)

Salmon roll and chicken or beef taco, can't remember!

There are some places that completely take you by surprise, and this is one of them. I have to admit I was a little nervous getting sushi at a mall food court, but I was honestly blown away by the quality of this sushi. I could not tell the difference between the salmon roll I got here, and the salmon rolls I get at my favorite sit down sushi restaurant. My mother had the chicken taco I believe, and she said it was outstanding and spicy! Yall, go to this place. We want to return to this mall very soon just for this food! I attached a photo of our food, sorry about the soy sauce I poured on my plate!

Pork dumplings and some spicy chicken/pork tacos!! Sushi and Taco is the all time best at Vista Ridge Mall

Pretty good sushi for the price. I always get the spicy California roll and the pork dumplings.

I didn't care for the sushi. I found it to be very tough. Egg roll was good. Service was good.

Best sushi I've had in a food court. Manned by a single woman who hand crafted my roll in front of me.

When there was a mixup on the order, I ordered chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce and was given cheese enchiladas with sour cream sauce , the manager/Head chec came out and said "you confused the server when you ordered so that's why you got the cheese. Here is the chicken enchiladas". I said "No, sir the confusion wasn't on my end, I pointed and read off what I wanted, which was chicken enchiladas." He put my plate down, blamed me again, and walked off. I didn't expect an apology, but never have I been confronted and blamed for a mix up on the order. Extremely weird. Me and my wife came in smiling and in a good mood and was extremely nice to the server. We left feeling the exact opposite. With tip, an appetizer, two drinks, two pina coladas, and two meals we spent $100. I hate I gave my money to this place.

The server was very nice and was very attentive when we needed him. The house margarita was very good....not to strong, not too weak just right! I had the Sofia's platter for my dinner which had beef and chicken nachos, chicken flautas, mini quesadillas and mini brisket chimichanga. The food was good the only thing I can say is there was too much refried beans on the nachos so all it tasted like was refried beans. My favorite was the mini quesadillas though. We did have a snafu as the person who's birthday it was she had to return her food as it was not good. So that was disappointing as we were all there for her and all she was able to have was chips and salsa as she didn't want try anything else at that point and a margarita but the restaurant took care of it. Will I return again? I'd give it another shot as another person had the shrimp fajitas and said they were amazing.

The lady was really nice and pleasant and helped a couple gringos order dinner. :) Tried their street tacos and had a barbacoa, pastor, and carnitas. It came with rice and beans. May have been an off night. But I can't say that anything was awesome or would I would consider GOOD. It was just kinda meh. The barbacoa had a lot of grease, which I would expect to be very flavorful. It was somewhat bland. The pastor was really dry and probably my least favorite. It may have just been in the warmer all day or something. The carnitas wasn't bad. It was tender and the best flavor. Their salas were good. The green didn't have any heat to it and had a pleasant taste. The red one had a nice flavor but made me sweat a bit. The rice was light, fluffy and tasted food. The beans were beans... not a ton of flavor could've used some salt. Decent dining experience. It's in an older gas station. Not the cleanest place (not the taqueria's fault), but it wasn't nasty. Won't swear this place off, but not in a rush to go back. Service was fast and friendly. May have been an off night for them. There are worse places to eat.... We supported a small business, if nothing else. :)

The chorizo was good. It was what I expected. However, there wasn't much bacon in the BEC tacos. In fact, there wasn't much of anything in any of the tacos. They were ... lite. Lite in flavor and size. Very skinny. No look, it's obvious they know how to cook and I'd bet their street tacos would be good, but this breakfast was disappointing. The service was on point from start to finish. Drinks were refilled before we even had a chance to ask, but without anyone hovering--just the perfect balance. Shoutout to Spike, our lead server, though it was clearly a true team effort all around. And the food? Amazing. I had the chicken sour cream enchiladas, and as someone who considers themselves a bit of a connoisseur, I'd rate them a solid 5/5--something I rarely give! My husband had the beef enchiladas and couldn't stop talking about how great the chili sauce was. He even said the rice was good... and he doesn't even like rice! Great food, great service, and an all-around fantastic experience. Honestly questioning how they don't have a perfect 5-star rating already!

Last time I went, one of the owners' children was sitting on the bench with their behind touching the too go bag. Well, with reservation, I finally went back yesterday, and the to go food bags were still placed on the bench until pick up, but I ignored it. What was unsanitary was all the smeared food and finger prints from the packer on the styrofoam food containers. I took pictures. Plus, the food, a beef hard shell taco and beef enchiladas, was just ok. Short story, I will not go to Angelina's again.
