I went with a friend and we got: Sake Truffle Sauce - salmon with truffle sauce and some mixed greens. It was topped with a flower which was cute and came with grated radish. Super Salmon - Fatty King Salmon, Uni and Caviar. All the ingredients were fresh and there was no fishiness. King Salmon was SO delicious omg. I still drool thinking about this Aburi Salmon - Seared salmon with Mayo. The perfect amount of mayo that adds creaminess to the dish. It's perfectly seared to provide the good char on top and raw inside. Kyodai Roll - Snow crab, avocado wrapped with salmon, topped with spicy mayo & eel sauce. I came here for my birthday with my mom on their Salmon Day and we had such a wonderful time. We stuck to the salmon menu and ordered everything on the salmon menu. Everything was so fresh, delicious, melt-in-your-mouth, and honestly may have been the best nigiri I've ever had. The foie gras, uni, and aburis were our favorites. I know people seem to think that it's expensive here but honestly you get an incredible Omakase experience. Pro tip 1: If you're here on a date and want the omakase experience, sit at the bar! That's the best way to enjoy the l omakase experience to the fullest. Pro Tip 2: Call if you have a party bigger than 6. Sometimes the app to reserve a table is glitchy and you got charged twice to reserve a spot. The Miyabi ($75) offers 13 wonderful assortment between sashimi, nigiri, and side dishes/soups. If you get the Nori it is a lot higher but with 14 pieces which includes this unique sweet shrimp topped with Uni and subtly smoked salmon roe. (Personally I'm fine with settling for the Miyabi and forgoing the shrimp.) The miso soup is incredible. I think authentic aged bonito is used to get an incredible clear yet rich broth. I could fill up on the miso soup alone. The Chawanmushi (Japanese Steamed Egg Custard) is absolutely mind blowing. It's so silky, savory and perfect in this cold weather. The ice cream itself is seasonal so don't expect it to stay the same when you come back. I was bummed out because their jasmine ice cream and lychee ice cream was such a wonderful compliment after such an indulgent meal. The matcha crepe is very good because they use higher quality matcha. A forewarning, if you're weak to caffeine, this will keep you up! I highly recommend to make a reservation as we made one for 7:45pm and we weren't seated until 8 since it was busy. The nigiri pieces you can order per person is 20, no matter what type of nigiri you're ordering. They also have sashimi plates you can order that's separate. I do think the nigiri pieces are on the smaller side, and the salmon is thinly cut. The rice was also a bit hard, but maybe due to the demands with the promotion they had to rush. I think it's understandable for pieces to be on the smaller side as it's really cheap. I do still recommend the place to try and will be back to try the omakase! read more

I ordered the salmon set, which included a variety of salmon nigiri, salmon handrolls, and a salmon sashimi dish. The fatty salmon and Aburi were quite similar in flavor, with the main difference being the sauce on the Aburi. The quality of the fish was good overall, though the rice wasn't my favorite and the portion size for each piece was on the smaller side. I didn't enjoy the sashimi and the option we were given was the salmon truffle ponzu. The texture of the salmon was off--it had a noticeable bite and chew that didn't sit right with me. As for the handrolls, they were just average. Unfortunately, by the time they arrived at the table, the nori had already lost its crispness. I disliked 2-3 of them - I don't eat egg so I automatically couldn't eat one of the dishes and some nigiri had a strong wasabi flavor. Even after 12-13 courses, I was not full. It was a cool experience, but for the price, I would want it to be more filling. One of the servings was dessert so that takes away from getting to try a wide variety of sushi. I've been on a mission to find a good uni pasta ever since I tried one in Austin, and Yujo Nori did not disappoint! Then came the Kyodai roll (a riceless roll), which was easily one of my favorites--fresh, flavorful, and a perfect balance of textures. The salmon sashimi, unfortunately, was a miss for me and something I wouldn't order again. Now, let's talk about dessert. Do not skip it! We were hoping to try the tiramisu mille crêpe cake, but they were out. Instead, we got the ube coco ice cream (my absolute favorite!) and the matcha lavender ice cream--both creamy, unique, and the perfect way to end the meal. And then there's the sangria. Went yesterday to the $60 omakase they do on Tuesdays and the food was amazing! The only dishes I didn't enjoy were the egg one and the hand roll (I'm usually not a fan of hand rolls). I ended up getting 12 courses total (appetizer not pictured, it was a seaweed salad). I enjoyed being able to watch the chef as he worked, and he was good about refilling my plate as soon as I finished the previous course. Taking off one star only because I mentioned my shellfish allergy, and he served me scallop for one course. I thankfully noticed and the chef was able to rectify this mistake. We tried the Nori omakase course which come with 14 items including dessert, and were pleased with the quality of the fish, service, and presentation of the food. We had a reservation for 11AM when the restaurant opens, which made for quiet and cozy ambience start to the omakase. We ordered a bottle of Elouan Pinot Noir, which I highly suggest for those who are craving light red wine that pairs well with sushi. All the nigiris in the course came wrapped in nori, making it a hybrid of nigiri and handroll which we didn't mind and enjoyed, but might be worth to know for those who want to enjoy the taste of the fish by itself. We really enjoyed the presentation of several showcasing items such as the chawanmushi (Japanese egg custard) served in a nest of egg, fatty tuna served in a coupe glass in which the chefs spray the gold powder in front of you, and the fatty tuna/uni/caviar nigiri that came in an enclosed ball with smoke. It made for a more fun omakase experience and elevated the celebratory occasion. Tiramisu mille crepe cake was the dessert and the portion was generous and the cake itself was light yet rich without it being too sweet. It was a hit for our Asian palate. The service was excellent by both the sushi chef and the waiter, as they were careful to time the items to fit our pace of eating and having conversations amongst our party. It's $60 per person for about 13? Items. I forgot to take photos of everything but honestly it wasn't anything special. The price is pretty decent and you get a variety of dishes to try but I wouldn't go crazy over it. If you've never done omakase and want to try it, by all means this would be amazing. I've just had so much sushi. We did end up ordering more before the soup and dessert was brought out. But overall I think I've had better. The service was pretty standard but attentive.
