Let's say 3.5. Came on a Saturday around 12 and there were still plenty of tables available but many people were already there. I appreciate that they offer a TON of options, especially for a non-sushi eater like me....the people I go with are sushi eaters lol. There is also a ton of sushi options. For $30 AYCE lunch and $40 AYCE dinner, it's defs not bad at all. However, some of the things I got were just bleh. Do not order the golden curry chicken or the chicken pad thai. Also the portion for these are pretty big, which made it hard for me to leave room for actual good tasting things lol. The pad thai is just pretty much not pad thai The flavour is terrible and so oily for some reason. I left almost the whole portion. The golden curry was hella bland and lazy? It's just nothing a good golden curry would be. Now for the better food items I tried lol. The hot and sour soup was DEElish. I could've just ate bowls and bowls of this. The beef short ribs were actually pretty good. They were marinated nicely and it gave very much kbbq vibes. Tho a bit chewy. The chicken tonkatsu was also good and paired nice with the sauce they gave. The garlic beef was just ok. Could've been more garlicky but you could taste the steak flavour. The general tao's chicken was also mediocre but edible lol. Wasn't spicy at all. The fried banana was a very lazy fried banana. The batter was not it and I was glad it was a small piece. Wow. An all you can eat sushi place where each thing order is made right then. You are given an e-tablet to browse as the menu, then you just select the quantity and hit submit. The staff is very helpful showing you how the process works, if you have not been there before. You do not need to order everything at once. I would suggest ordering in stages so everything does not come out at the same time and you can see what you like. Everything I tried was delicious. The process is really smooth and we literally ordered everything - make sure you don't waste food as there's a charge for wasting. We were able to finish all the food so wasn't charged thankfully! This place has been recommended multiple times to me and I finally got around to trying it Its $28 for all you can eat sushi and wow what great quality! The sashimi, sushi, maki were all excellent! I liked that they also have special rolls in the AYCE menu. They also have non sushi options which makes it a great place for everyone! You order on an iPad so don't really need to interact with staff which is efficient. Me and a friend headed out there last night for some dinner. The food was really fresh and very tasty, however I did find this place a bit expensive. I didn't care for the way that the server had to confirm everything we ordered as that took time but overall it was a good experience. The bathroom situation was a little confusing considering the size of the place they only had single bathrooms and only 1 for women while the men had 2 plus one gender neutral bathroom. I'm giving it 3 stars because of the price and the fact that we had to confirm our food with the server. read more

All you can eat sushi (and other Asian dishes)! Ah, how I have missed buffets during covid-19 lockdown. While we await the return of classic buffets, we can content ourselves with a la carte buffets like the one at this joint - you order on a tablet and submit the order (strangely a server must come by to confirm it - I suppose to enforce rules like you getting a maximum number of scallops). Unfortunately there's no descriptions for the dishes so if you don't already know what a dish is, you need to look at the photo and make an educated guess. The dishes here were generally decent. This being a buffet, I shall just highlight those that were particularly good or bad. The miso soup was quite dilute, and the hot & sour soup was a bit too hot and not sour enough, though the ingredients inside were alright. The croquette came in the shape of mini katsu, was bland and too firm. The scallops were limited to 2 per person but were frozen breaded scallops, so adjust your expectations. And as with many Asian places, the "crab" here is really crab flavoured seafood stick (this was the first time I'd ever had crabstick on a "sashimi" platter). Teriyaki, garlic & black pepper beef were all varying shades of tough. "Ebi app" was fried black pepper shrimp which tasted vaguely rancid. The custard buns had a gloopy stuffing - while the texture was bad, the taste was OK. On the upside, the beef ribs were really good - tender and flavourful. Sashimi chips (bits of sashimi on a light base) were a nice light snack (and also a good way to use up sashimi scraps) The fried banana was very fragrant but tasteless. I think it's because they used banana essence, which was uneven. Another banan piece was too sweet so the flavour was uneven. The deep fried milk was good - it was like milky custard in a crispy fried shell. The ice creams were a mixed bag. While red bean and chocolate were alright, coconut had slivers of coconut that were too big, which made for an odd feeling in the mouth, and its flavour was very odd (kind of off-coconut). While green tea tasted okay, there were some ice crystals inside. Strangely, despite this being an ostensibly Japanese-themed place, they don't serve cold green tea. There's a pretty good variety of dishes here, and besides sushi and other Japanese dishes you also get some Chinese and Thai items. I also like how most orders are rather small - with small portions, you get to try more dishes (especially if you're in a small group). And they levy a 15% service charge so there's no need to tip. read more

Salmon was buttery soft but looked like mush in some parts cause of how they were cut. Kalbi was good, tender. Spicy salmon, rainbow and red rolls (4pcs each) were meh. I loved how they had sweet shrimp and scallops but since it isn't AYCE , they should not be on the menu! Maybe put a sign up on each table! Went on Sunday for their AYCE dinner, quite pricey and they include the tip so it comes to around $47/person. I find the fish quality not the best but does have a good range of sashimi options to choose from. They did however miss few of the items from the order sent in and I had to ask them where it was then they brought it out. But then one item they never brought out then said it was all gone, I saw the table next to us got the same item 2x so I feel like one of theirs should have been ours. I did find the service friendly. However, I don't think I would go back due to the high pricing not matching up with the food quality it should be providing. read more

I came here with family on Saturday Evening. There is plenty of parking in the back of the restaurant. We had a group of 5. They won't let you make a reservation for only 5 people, however, they had a few tables available when we got there. When we got there, there was no host and we were waiting there for a few minutes. They gave us a hot towel for our hands when we were seated which I thought was really unique. We ordered the sushi through iPads. After you input the order you have to wait for the server to confirm it, whom you have to flag down. I thought this was a little annoying and time-consuming​. The servers seem very busy and we were waiting a few minutes before they could confirm our order. Some of the plates were dirty (see photos). A bunch of the food we ordered never came (this seems common for some ayce sushi restaurants). I found that the sweet shrimp and surf clam sashimi was not fresh. I also ordered a lot of the sweet shrimp but less than half of my order arrived. The dough of the unagi pancake was not cooked. Would not recommend ordering these items. The strawberry salad was delicious. Service was bad. They did not come to refill our water. A server came with tea, but we told her we were drinking water and she never came back. We asked another server for a refill of water but she also never returned. Had to ask another guy who brought it shortly. When bringing spoons for the dessert the server just dumped them on the table. Overall, I did not have a good experience here. I prefer to go back to our regular ayce sushi restaurant. Other ayce sushi restaurants I have been to have a senior discount, but this place does not. TLDR: they give hot towels for hands, dirty dishes, sashimi not fresh, bad service. read more

Super unprofessional staff. About 2-3 years ago, my friend and I had lunch at the Mississauga location. As a joke, my friend used their Menu Ipad to text my number (yes this was stupid to do). Ever since that day, someone in that restaurant continues to send me text messages on my phone. I've tried calling the restaurant, no one picks up. I've tried reaching out on Facebook and instagram with no response. I have a screenshot of the latest text I received. This would not bother me as much except for the fact that this has been going on for 2 YEARS. This is extremely unprofessional and I want the owner to look into this ASAP and I want my messages on Facebook and Instagram addressed. My friend and I were travelling from Montréal and wanted to try a good AYCE sushi place. K&B sushi was it, and we weren't disappointed. The menu options are diverse and they definitely have something for everyone. The service is quick, the waiters are helpful and nice, especially knowing that we were there on a very crowded night. The price is right, average for that kind of restaurant. The food was very good, nothing disappointed us. I would definitely recommend trying their soups as well as the spicy salmon roll. The seating is nice, looks very classy for an AYCE restaurant. The only thing that disappointed us was how close the tables were from each other. We could hear everyone around us' conversation, and the whole vibe of the restaurant was very loud. I would expect something a bit quieter especially for an Asian restaurant. It is very clear that people working in the back are not wearing hair nets. When we pointed the hairs to the employee we didn't even get an apology. We were expecting to have some really good quality sushi for the price it was charging. Unfortunately, it was not as great as we had hoped. The fish didn't taste fresh and the sesame chicken we ordered had more batter than chicken, so it was super dry. The sushi was fresh and the rice was just right. The menu selection was impressive too. The décor is modern and comfortable. Suitable for date night or even a family gathering. The customer service was also fast, but not very friendly- I do not like the way they just drop your order on the table and run away. Don't get me wrong all these attributes about the restaurant is still the same. The only changes that has come to disappoint me is they raised the prices and the quality is noticeable lower. I guess this happens sometimes when a restaurant gets popular. I'm a regular here and I always kept forgetting to review KB Sushi. A month ago I'd give this place an easy 4 star. Oh, dear. Another AYCE sushi dump. And that's generous. The details: *Server/Host/Robot "Ben" led me to my table and while blocking my entrance to the booth, asked me what I wanted to drink. While I was standing up. In my fully buttoned coat. With my gloves still on and purse on shoulder. *Music: an incoherent mashup of a techno/rave song, followed by "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran, followed by a rap song we couldn't identify. Repeat. Yup--same 3 songs for 1.5 hours. *As food runners dropped off food, and I said, "thank you", there was no reply. No acknowledgement. If you dared to ask for something, they were already 2 tables past. *Cocktail shrimp (yes, I ordered this at a sushi place) but no cocktail sauce. Who can eat those bland things naked? *Dim Sum: available. Dim Sum trio of sauces? Not. *My partner's beer ($8), as it neared half, was noticed a few times. Server missed no opportunity to ask if he wanted another. My water ($0) glass, as it neared bone dry, was ignored. Had to ask for more water several times. *An order of tempura shrimp: 1 piece. An order of rice: a bowl that could serve 4. *Chicken Curry was...not chicken. You know that crappy chicken they put in canned soup? Like, it's scarily glued together and fatty and weird? Well, whatever bits didn't make the cut for ol' chicken noodle found their way into K & B's Chicken Curry. *Chicken Teriyaki: see above. *Chicken Fried Rice: see above. However it looked good. *Not once did a server come by and ask if we needed anything. Not once. Could barely find one to flag down. However, toward the end of the meal, one lone girl parked herself about 8 feet from our table and proceeded to stare at us as we ate--no hyperbole. It was rude and it was awkward and it was just creepy. I finally stared back. And she looked away. Then looked back and looked away. Then looked back and I said to her that I felt like we were being watched. Are you watching us? "Take your time, but you're the last table in here." I don't even think it was their closing time yet. *Shockingly, Cakebread Cellars Sauv Blanc was on their wine list. *"Ben" argued with us about how to place an order, haha. *Crispy salmon roll was the opposite of crispy. I suspect that when they do their dinner prep in the afternoon, they get the salmon together, mix it with tempura flakes, and cover the bowl. So when you order your crispy roll at 8pm, it's stuffed with an oily, soggy, salmon-tempura oatmeal. *One time, a server, presumably on her way out to have a dart, dropped off food in her long, zippered, winter coat. *Sashimi: first order of salmon was cut just fine. Second order of tuna was atrocious. If you like your sashimi as a cube-ish trapezoid, you're in luck. Just horrible and a disgrace. *To add insult to injury, the washroom had a dry, crusty, poop spray/splatter across the back wall by the toilet. Of course this isn't K&B's fault. But if they had staff checking the washroom throughout the evening, I doubt I would have seen it. *The pièce de résistance: There's no explanation of the maki rolls on the menu but there are full colour, high res images of each. The names don't tell you what's inside so we asked a server (who was actually quite pleasant). There were about 10-12 rolls that had tempura shrimp inside but the other ingredients were unclear. We knew it had shrimp tempura because the shrimp tails were proudly sprouting out of the end pieces. This is when we learned from that helpful server that all of those rolls with the shrimp tempura are actually stuffed with imitation crab meat and the shrimp tail is merely a decoration! He said that maybe one or two pieces in the roll will have a bit of shrimp but that's just for show. It's almost like they're trying to suck at being a restaurant. I'm a huge sushi fan - but this restaurant has just left me disappointed. To start off, when we first got to the restaurant we were literally standing around waiting to get served/placed at a table. We went around 2pm, so the restaurant wasn't too busy yet the service was very slow. For example, we'd order dessert ... got nothing ... asked for the bill - then the dessert would come with the bill. We would order some apps, and forget that we even ordered it cause it didn't come till much later. The food itself, was nothing special - nothing to really rave about. Lastly, when the bill came - we went on a Thursday for lunch, but we were charged a weekend pricing. When asked about why were charged that price, they said that the server would've told us that cause of the holiday season - there's a price hike. No one told us, and when we told him - he said there was a sign on a door. So paying $22 for ayce sushi ?? There's much better places, don't waste your time here. Beware they will charge you weekend pricing for the weekdays for the holidays. Safe to say, we won't be returning anytime soon. read more

After visiting the Mississauga K&B location multiple times, I tried this location while in the area. I came with a high expectations due to the amazing food and service from the other location, but left disappointed with what the Etobicoke location had to offer. The service started off well, but as the food started to come to our table, one the servers kept repeatedly spilling dishes and sauces while setting them on the table. It was really apparent she was in a rush, but the spilling was a little much and kept happening through-out the meal. I was also a little disappointed with the food, as the fried rice was pretty soggy and multiple dishes tasted "off". Decor 4/5: Very big, modern, and clean. Think it used to be an Italian restaurant that has a wine rack. Service 2/5: half of the servers looked grumpy, especially the manager. However, they did attend to our needs without a smile. Price: We went on a Tuesday, for adults it's about $27 and for my kids 6 and 9, it cost around $12, which is similar to other sushi AYCE. Note: if you pay cash you get 10% off, but be warned that my husband had to ask for it since they did not give the discount on the first receipt. Food 2/5: The sashimi are quite cold and fresh, same with their salmon tataki. However with all other foods they didn't look or tasted fresh.
