Drove 15 miles to Canyon Lake Ace Hardware and they started the same process of sticking it in an automated machine which again said it couldn't be made. This time the Gentleman that was helping me said let me look in the back. They still have the old manual key cutter and an assortment of blanks. 15 min later I walked out with three brand new keys for a 35 year old vehicle for less than $15. Top notch customer service.

Who knew getting a key made could be such an *ACE* of an experience? I popped into Biedermann's…read moreAce Hardware to take care of some key business--literally--and walked out with a freshly cut key *AND* some delicious popcorn. Double win! But wait, the plot thickens. Once I got home, I thought my key ring of all the other keys had pulled a disappearing act. Cue panic. I searched high, low, and everywhere in between (read: the depths of my car seats). Meanwhile, the entire Ace squad was on their walkie talkies, mobilizing like a key-finding SWAT team. Not once did anyone make me feel like a bother--no side-eye, no sighs, just pure helpfulness. Turns out, the keys were just playing hide-and-seek in the car. Crisis averted! The store itself? Clean, welcoming, and packed with EVERYTHING. Need a bird feeder? Check. How about a candle that smells like heaven? They've got it. Wind chimes to add a little ~zen~ to your backyard? You bet.
