After asking a few questions about what styles I preferred, what I had in mind, etc. he sent me a link to the Jovani 47051 Peplum Skirt Off The Shoulder Corset Dress. I immediately responded, "YES! That's perfect!" I was blown away by how quickly he was able to pinpoint a dress that was exactly what I was looking for. It was as if he waved a magic wand and summoned the dress of my dreams in a matter of moments. But his magic didn't end there. As I was on a pretty tight schedule, I was worried we didn't have enough time to ship, but he assured me he would get it here in time (West Coast.) As promised, he shipped it out first thing the next day (Monday) and she was in my hands by Wednesday. I even had time to get it altered so it fit to perfection. I looked and felt amazing at our black tie event and couldn't walk ten feet without someone complimenting the dress. None of it would have been possible without Simon. He is the definition of someone that is not only passionate about what he does, but also someone that truly cares about his customers. I felt so taken care of and valued by Simon. This shop…read morenot only completed the repair, but they went beyond the basic repair, matched up the metal rings to make the bag look more polished than it was when I first bought it, and sewed unobtrusive black leather patches over the canvas around the rings to make sure that the rings wouldn't tear through the canvas again. Some women have collections of purses in different sizes and colors that they accessorize daily. I don't. I seek out and acquire one sturdy but lightweight black fabric purse (with multiple pockets and compartments that can keep me organized) that I use all the time except for very dressy occasions, and generally, I use that bag for years until it's no longer usable. I set up the bag so that each pocket or compartment holds very specific items, and I become very accustomed to how it's set up. I hate having to change bags. This shop understood exactly what I needed, and went above and beyond. The next time I need that kind of repair, or any alterations, I'm coming back to this shop. The repair wasn't cheap, but it was worth every penny. They do excellent work.

I was the maid of honor, and not only did I have to go back five separate times to get issues fixed, but the entire bridal party had to make multiple trips as well because nothing was done correctly the first, second, or even third time. Most of us living very far, which was extremely inconvenient. Out of a bridal party of nearly 20 women, not a single person had a good experience. Most of us had to pick up our dresses the night before the wedding! My dress looked yellow gold (it was supposed to be more of a champagne gold) and looked extremely cheap, poorly constructed, and unfinished. There were visible holes throughout the dress, and the buttock area was completely ripped by the end of the reception. During the wedding ceremony, multiple people pointed out the holes in my dress, which was mortifying. I was genuinely distraught standing next to the bride knowing how bad it looked. The brides hair/makeup team felt so bad that they literally sewed one of the holes for me with black thread used for wigs right outside of the ceremony for every one to see. The fabric itself was thin, flimsy, and literally hanging in places, giving the appearance of a rushed or careless job rather than couture. Two of the dresses were so poorly made that Marly had to come to the hotel to attempt last-minute fixes because there were holes everywhere. Even then, the issues were not fully resolved. My dress was not ready until the night before the wedding, despite the fact that I paid nearly an $800 deposit six months in advance. There is absolutely no excuse for why none of the dresses were ready on time. What made the situation even worse was the complete lack of accountability. Marly took no responsibility for the condition of the dresses or the stress caused. Even the bride's glam team mentioned that they had heard multiple horror stories about her work in the past, including situations where other dressmakers had to step in at the last minute to save weddings. Marly is not a mean/rude person but she clearly lacks the competence required for this industry. She made false promises and never met any of them. She would tell us to come get our dress ready at xyz time and then extend it last minute because it was still not ready. I doubt marly herself is the one making these dresses- every time I came in for the fitting I seen multiple seamstresses she was giving orders to. This experience was embarrassing, stressful, and completely unacceptable, especially for something as important as a wedding. I would strongly advise anyone considering Voila Haute Couture to think twice. What should have been a joyful and seamless process turned into an ordeal that left the bridal party frustrated, embarrassed, and deeply disappointed.
