Country Style Steak Cornbread Mashed Potatoes Macaroni and Cheese Greens

First of all the service was great! The food was very disappointing! I never complain about food but I did request a refund. Country style steak: the gravy felt like jelly in my mouth and had a weird taste. Mashed potatoes: I couldn't taste since it was smothered in the gravy Mac and cheese: no flavor at all. It tasted like wet noodles Greens: tasted like they opened the can and heated them up. Cornbread: it was actually good. I'm not sure what has happened with K&W but I will not be visiting again at least not this location.

I used to absolutely love K&W Cafeteria when visiting the Greensboro area, but this recent visit was disappointing. They were minimally staffed, workers appeared stressed out, and they didn't have many food items available. They also had very few salads available - no 7 layer salad, which is my favorite. The food quality on the items they did have was great but, regrettably, this overall visit was disappointing.

A lot of food for not a lot of money.

I live near Chapel Hill and their K&W closed not long ago, which is so sad. I was in Burlington to get my Covid vax so thought I'd hop over here for some comfort food. I really needed that! Happy to say everything hit the spot. Our waitress was the sweetest too. In the future when I need a K&W fix I'll definitely be coming by!! You get a lot of food for not a lot of money. I like that!

Chose to go to K&W Cafeteria in Burlington NC for Thanksgiving instead of cooking this year and my visit was the worst ever as far as my meal of Turkey dressing w/gravy & cranberry sauce and collards. The Turkey/dressing was lukewarm warm, the collards were tough the sweet potato casserole was dry as +*^# . My daughter ate ham & chicken breast strips, cabbage and she said the cabbage was nasty, but she's a kid, I know they didn't look appealing that's why I changed to collard. I remember when it would be a line 3 lines wrapped around inside now when you go regardless what time it is you just walk right in and get in line with NO waiting. Business there have fallen off really badly. I had to put my food in a box to take home to heat and then eat. Think That might be our last $30. Spent There.

We often stop here when coming through the area. Tasty comfort food. The service provided by our waiter, Michael, is always fantastic.

I've been to a few First Watch locations in Ohio so when it came to Burlington I decided to go once…read morethe initial crowds died down since I didn't remember the food being that memorable. I went early one Saturday morning before the rush (crowds were appearing by the time we left at 9:30a) and were quickly seated in a booth by the window with lots of natural light. The restaurant was clean and well appointed with modern rustic decor and our waitress was super attentive and friendly. I did a bit of research before ordering to only order the most popular dishes in hope of making some memories this time around. I ordered the morning meditation juice which was a perfect mix of their fresh squeezed orange juice, lemon juice, beet juice, turmeric, ginger and agave nectar. Perfect way to start my morning in the sunlight. For my main breakfast entree I got the lemon ricotta pancakes which came with 2 HUGE pancakes the size of the plate. Even though the lemon curd appeared to be a dollop, it was enough for the whole dish since the lemon was very prominent to the point syrup was not needed. The berries were fresh and the pancakes were cooked to perfection (soft with lightly crispy edges). I also enjoyed a hot cup of table side coffee with my drink. I drink it black so I found the plain coffee to have a nice flavor and wasn't bitter at all. Now the million dollar bacon ehhhh.... I heard someone ask if they were thick, not at all. I found the honey to overpower the other seasonings so it was just basic bacon with honey in my opinion. Not worth the almost $7 price tag or the million in the name. If I am in the mood for a solidly good fresh breakfast in a nice atmosphere I'll be sure to stop by, but I wouldn't wait longer than 15 minutes for it.

I can't remember our waiter, but he was great. We started with the fried pickles, they were very salty but in a good way. Something you definitely eat while drinking. I had the NY steak cooked to medium and it was cooked to perfection! With a side of broccoli and baked potatoes. I was a little weary when we went to pack up the rest of the fried pickles and under the parchment paper was a French fry. Made me wonder do they wash and clean them or just throw parchment paper in the basket. All in all it was a good visit. I would definitely be back.

However there was an issue with almost every order. My parents were with us and my mom had to send her steak back to be cooked more. I had a 20oz bone in rib eye and it had about every temperature cook possible. Some of it was rare all the way up to a good part of it was well done. My oldest son ordered the mini burgers and couldnt chew and swallow them because of how dry they were so we sent them back and they re cooked them. They were more burnt the second time. They did take it off the cost of our order but then the bills get into a whole different issue. My parents had a coupon for free appetizer which they didnt take off and they had to adjust and then our bills was about $52 and we had a $50 gift card and for some reason only $36.99 was take. Off via the gift card and the waitress didnt give it back to us. We have the gift card receipt that says it had $50 on it so we were out about $13. I dont know if she didnt run the card right or mis charged us or what. We should have looked more thoroughly and didnt notice till we had left. We trusted they deducted the $50. We left a good tip (my parents and I because service was good but now feel like maybe they stole $13 from us). The place was extremely loud which wasn't a great atmosphere for the whole family (our 4 year old and 5month old struggled). We were happy to get out of there but regretted the choice to go. Didnt help I was there for my birthday either.
