Finally some good onigiri and kimbap in the San Ramon area. It's really nice having K-Bob in the area. It's such a quick and easy meal, plus it's not really too expensive either. Everything here is pretty good as well! The onigiri's are all super stuffed with whatever filling you choose. Plus their kimbap is massive and tasty as well. I personally enjoy the fried shrimp onigiri the most and their spicy beef kimbap as well. Definitely going to keep on coming here. it's like the perfect spot to grab a quick lunch! read more

I have had a few of their tofu pockets and kimbap rolls before and honestly it was all yummy and fresh! You can pick what you're in the mood for. I got the lord of the roll kimbap, which was the most expensive roll at $17, but still felt like the portion and quality was worth it! It was almost like half sushi half kimbap with fried tempura shrimp, spicy tuna, crab meat, salmon in addition to avocado, and kimbap veggies, with tobiko dusted rice on the outsid. The roll was ginormous and yummy and fresh! It was too hard to eat in one bite which was the only down side but all the ingredients felt healthy and fresh so I liked it a lot and actually felt stuffed about 60% into the tray. This cute mom and pop shop is right across from the library and next to Sports Basement. A perfect healthy lunch or quick to go meal! Most Korean would agree with that mama's home made kimbop - or Kim Bob like K-Bob calls - from childhood is world's best, because it takes a lot of time to prep to make really good one, and all Korean mamas take it to serious level for their kids. I am so glad that I've found this place when I am now too old to ask my mom for home made kimbop. Everything on their menu looks so good. I could not even decide which one to take to dinner with my friends. The guy at the cash register helped me a lot, he was so enthusiastic to explain about what their foods like, so I chose good ones that me and my friends would love to dive. All the foods I ordered today are 5 stars, they are really gigantic and super fresh. They gave me 2 different kinds of dipping sauce for the kimbops. Both of them are so good. Kim Bob: Philly cheese beef - Must try. I should have bought more of this. Crunchy - It is so good but you must drizzle the sauce that comes with it. You can taste totally different flavors. Original - Kimbop with ham and veggies. It reminds me my mom's kimbop. Triangle: Tuna mayo - This is staple. How can you hate this? Tuna Jalapeno - 5 star X 5 star! Must try, Jalapeno kicks in! I can eat 10 of this. Yubu: Spicy Tuna - Anyone hates generous amount of fresh delicious spicy tuna? Salmon - Salmon was so fresh, and it was so good with wasabi mayo dipping sauce that comes with other kimbop. Beef - Must try. It is a flavor bomb. Generous amount of savory beef and chopped jalapeno topping gives a kick, but it goes so well with sweet juicy yubu rice pouch. Fish over rice: This is Korean version of Chirash called hoe dup bop that you can see in other sushi places. It is super fresh! Spicy sauce's really good. Very nice staff, seems family-run. We tried the Tuna/Mayo and Spam/Egg rice triangles. Both were delicious. Crispy seaweed, rice was perfect, and the ingredients were perfectly distributed. Not like other rice triangles where rice is dry and ingredients are clumped in one small spot. With K-Bob's rice triangles, every bite has flavor and the flavor is on-point! We loved the original Kimbap too. Lots of veggies, did not fall apart, tasted very fresh. The store is quite small and the ordering/cashier line seemed chaotic during lunch hour on a Saturday. We called our order in over the phone, which I would recommend. They seem diligent about picking up the phone even when it's busy, which is great. Customer service is excellent too. We realized we paid for 2 spam rice triangles but only got 1. I called them, they picked up despite the chaos, offered to make another one, and gave me two as an apology when I went back. A nice way to earn back customer trust and loyalty. Overall, I can see why this place has high ratings and we look forward to trying more stuff here in the future. read more

New place to have tasty food items in San Ramon! I believe they opened just a few days ago and are settling in. I got a chance to try a wide variety of items that I brought home for dinner - spicy tuna rolls, spicy tuna triangle, sashimi salad, veggie rolls for my vegetarian daughter and a few of the sauces that come with - the wasabi mayo was amazing BTW! Everything was packaged up nicely and was way more food than we initially thought so I ate leftovers for lunch the next day. Plenty of parking as they share the lot with Sports Basement. They have a really nice and clean sit-down area but seating is limited - but given the nicer weather, there's a few seats outside to enjoy the sunshine. Enjoy! read more

Yes they make everything to order, but a 20 minute wait for three rolls, two triangles, and two yubu is unacceptable for a fast casual restaurant -- especially when there was only one order ahead of mine. The rolls themselves are overpriced and dry -- maybe that's why they include wasabi mayo? We wanted to like and support K-BOB but won't be back unless they make changes to their recipes and ordering process. Oh and its worth mentioning that it was uncomfortably warm inside. read more

Another great local spot in the neighborhood. We love our kim bops for quick bites and one of the few items that our 6 and 3 year olds will gobble up! We came in for dinner and was greeted by a gentleman who did a fantastic job with recommending first time visitors. He didn't disappoint. First off, the employee working was nice and the space was clean. There were only 4-5 tables (from what I remember), so it was quite tight even if you are ordering to-go. I cannot imagine what it would look like if the business was booming. The food was surprisingly good and didn't have any issues with it. The menu pricing is questionable, in my opinion. The Kimbop has tons of ingredients so that is fine, but the triangle or yubu are $5 for one on average. (In Korea it's probably like $1-3 at most). I would recommend they give miso soups with the rolls at least considering the prices. read more

Crazy good bimbap with quality and fresh ingredients. You can really taste the freshness in every bite. The bibimbap is really good with just a little rice on the side so it's like a gigantic salad with wonderful ingredients and a little beef . It's very fresh, tasty snd delightful. The gochijiang on the side is great also. I think you can't go wrong with any of the bimbaps here. I live in SF/Peninsula so this is a pleasant surprise. read more

K-Bob had great food! The selection of kimbap really complements what is missing in the Tri-Valley area. The only comparable I can think of is Sodam but it's definitely very different in terms of the types offered. In addition to kimbap, there's also the triangles (similar to onigily), yubu (similar to cone sushi over in Hawaii), and you also have bowl options (bibimbap, poke, etc.). Overall a great selection and the prices are very reasonable. read more
