Great spot for a meal on the go! It's located next to a Sports Basement with a very large parking lot. There were plenty of spaces available on a Monday evening. I arrived about an hour from closing, and there were only a couple other people there. The inside is small and clean. There are a few tables inside and there are also some tables set up outside. You can order at the counter and by using the touch screen kiosk. The woman at the front was really friendly and sweet! The menu has kimbap, rice bowl dishes, rice triangles, amd yubu tofu pockets. I ordered vegetable kimbap to-go. She let me know that it would take about 10 minutes, but I think it was faster than that, so I give them points for efficient service. The veggie kimbap was packed! Stopped by to get my kimbap fix after a nice run and was greeted by the nicest lady . Since this was my second time here, I asked what she recommended and she recommended the crunchy and the LOR (lord of the roll). I ordered the LOR for myself and the original for the bf. I was also intrigued by the yubu, which is stuffed fried tofu so I had to try one of those too. The LOR was delicious! The yubu too. The original was good but not as good as the LOR. I usually love to eat kimbap or anything that is hand held whenever I have a busy schedule so this place is perfect for that. Parking is easy since it's in this mini plaza with lots of parking. You order at a kiosk and then wait outside if you are picking up. If not, there are a few tables inside of the restaurant. I ordered their onigiris which are probably my favorite. They are around $5.50 and they load it up pretty well. The seaweed is separate from the rice which I was happy about because the seaweed did not get soggy. I also ordered their philly kimbap which was also very filling. They do not hold back on loading up their rolls which I appreciate very much. WOW! I think I just found my new favorite kimbap place in the bay area! This hidden gem surpassed all my expectations with its impressive quality and presentation. The vegetables they use (especially the avocado) taste extremely fresh and left my taste buds happy. The sweet and soft yubu skin and the tender and flavorful beef were very satisfying to say the least. The poke fish quality was goof too (not anything to write home about, but still adequate). Nothing felt too oily/greasy and I loved the sprinkle of sesame seeds they topped the kimbap with. Something else I was very pleased with were the prices! $17 for a poke bowl AND it comes with a complimentary miso soup! $16 for their Bibim Bob bowl which at other korean places would cost $20 and up! The service was very quick for the amount of food my family ordered and all of the workers were very helpful in navigating the menu. The location is convenient as it is right across the street from the San Ramon Marketplace. There is a lot of parking as well. I'm obsessed with this place. I come here so often! It's so convenient! You can order online or phone or in person on a kiosk and pick up and eat outside on the shaded seating area or take it home. The rolls are always made fresh to order and I love that it's not filled with rice as the main ingredient. The wasabi dipping sauce is delicious too. The nice lady working there is so sweet. Very strong. This is mostly a takeout shop that makes really good Kim bap. We tried the regular, tuna and beef ones. Tuna was hands down the favorite and the regular was good too. I was a little unimpressed by the beef because I feel that it should be a premium given the upcharge and it was less tasty than the other two. Having spent a lot of time in Korea and spending about five bucks a roll I was a little bit sticker shocked to pay 15 plus dollars per roll. But the quality was very good and the portion size was large - Plus somehow you have to make those Bay Area rents so I get it. We also tried the fish over rice and the bibimbap. Both were good but not sure I'd get them again because there was not enough rice and too much of the salad. Usually I have the opposite problem. Notes, that I am referring to salad and not veggies. Never enough veggies. But there was just too much of the salad style stuff like the radish and the added lettuce too, which seemed a little odd for the bibimbap. I wanted a light lunch and got a filling platter of kimbop! We are always looking for fantastic Asian food around the Tri Valley. The veggies are fresh, crispy and are refreshing. The wasabi kewpie mayo sauce is light and flavorful, but not too spicy. Spicy beef seasoning was on point. Also got a spam & egg triangle; The seaweed was so surprising crispy. The rice seasoning within the triangle was seasoned with furikake. Great flavor- I didn't feel like I needed soy sauce with every bite. Service was quick! We ordered using the terminal, but also ordered more food at the front with the host. He was kind and efficient. The only complaint is that the ordering terminal just feels slightly cramped next to cashier. Space and ambiance is cozy inside, but they also have extra seats and picnic tables outside.
