Very very very underwhelming experience. This is my second time coming to this location and the second time I have been let down. I was really hoping it was just a fluke the first time. I absolutely love the blackened garlic ramen at the Providence location so of course I decided let's try it here. Definitely not the same. First off barely any of the actual garlic that they put in the ramen. Extremely unsatisfying. The bamboo shoots and whatever the black things are called tasted not fresh at all. The noodles were ok. Not once the whole time did the waitress bother to refill my simple iced water. Left feeling like this is probably my last time coming here. It's disappointing because I WANTED to love this place but I don't want to misled myself or others curious about this place. Saw the ordering kiosk off to the side, so I went there to place my order. Ordering was straight forward and I went to sit down at one of the empty tables to wait. I ended up waiting for about 15 minutes, which dreams like a long time for what I ordered. The ambiance was just like a normal fast food restaurant would look. Mostly tables and food service in the back. There were several ppl eating there even though they were close to closing. I ordered the BBQ pork buns and a brown sugar milk tea boba. I liked that they had brown sugar boba instead of just the regular boba. My drink was just ok, not very flavorful even though I got mine extra sweet (tasted like a normal sweet). All of the flavor was on the bottom but I'm not sure if it's bc I got the brown sugar boba or if that's just the way they serve it. I would have liked to shake it, but the way their lids are, it would have spilled, so I had to kind of stir it up with the straw. The BBQ pork buns were terrible. One tiny slice of BBQ pork, which had a weird taste to it. A small sliver of cucumber and lettuce was on the side. I only ate one of them because the flavor was off putting. I order at the south Tampa location all the time at work and it's 10/10 every time. Since we live in Riverview, I decided to try this location. The food was sooooo underwhelming and it's much higher priced than the south Tampa location. I got two hibachi chickens and a Korean beef ramen and spent nearly $70 of takeout. The hibachi chicken was bland and in big chunks, where in south Tampa it's flavorful with the hibachi sauce and thinly sliced. I sliced and recooked the chicken when I got home to give it some flavor. Very disappointing. Again, south Tampa location never ever disappoints but I won't be ordering from the Riverview location again. read more

Token Ramen has been removed from my takeout rotation. It was a busy night and I didn't mind waiting but I waited an hour and 20 minutes for my food. I told them my name and they never gave me my food. They set it down on the takeout shelf instead and never said anything to me. They came back up and asked my name like 8 times and still never said a word about my food. I didn't wanna bother them cause it was busy but that was just ridiculous. They care more about fulfilling Uber Eats and door dash orders. Also their yelp page says they have 25 health code violations. It's so great to see another Token Ramen location open up in Riverview. This one is located on Stelling Drive, off of 301. It's in a brand new plaza that faces away from the main road. You'll have to make the turn on Stelling from 301, and then make a left turn into the plaza parking lot. I didn't see any other entrance. There may be another way to get to it from the neighborhood behind it. There's plenty of parking. The restaurant is modern & attractive. There are 2 kiosk stations to the right as you first walk in. These are for takeout orders. There's a host to the left that will seat you if you're dining in. The seating is comfortable, and there are cooking shows displayed on the screens over the counter. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is like any other Token Ramen. I'm a big fan of their Black Garlic Ramen. I order it every time I go to the Riverview location on Providence Rd. The difference is that this location has ramen on their special lunch menu. I was so happy to see that. It's a great price. I went with the Tonkotsu Ramen and added an additional seasoned egg along with a side of black garlic oil. Believe it or not, the lunch ramen ended up being a little under the regular menu price of the BG Ramen even with the additional items. It was also just as tasty as always. Token Ramen still makes the best seasoned egg of all the ramen shops in Tampa Bay. I can never pass up getting an additional one. The same goes with that black garlic oil. I poured it all into my bowl of ramen. You can never have enough of it. I love how it mingles all together with the perfectly cooked noodles. It's an addiction. So, the reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because they were out of my first 2 boba tea choices. I know it's because they just opened. I wanted to get the pistachio milk tea that I saw online. They didn't have it because it was whited out on the menu. My 2nd option was the ginger milk strike. They didn't have it. I ended up getting the Chai milk strike. It was great! The menu selection was good, but not as big as the other location that I frequent the most. I'm sure that the menu will grow as the restaurant grows. I'm guessing that there isn't a Kung Fu Tea at this location since I didn't see the logo anywhere. But hey, everything that I had was very good. I definitely want to go back for the ramen lunch special (for as long as they have it). I can't tell you about any of the other food because I can never pass on the ramen. Amazing! My husband and I don't usually go out to eat but he passed this place and said we had to try it. We went here for our third anniversary and were very pleased. We went back twice in one month because of how yummy it was! The staff is super friendly and food is delicious. It's a small place a never super crowded. Definitely a hidden gem. Food is great. One of my favorite hibachi spots in the Riverview area. The servers are always kind and polite and the restaurant itself always appears cleanly. The food is top notch. I won't lie my favorite ramen by far is still at Domu, but considering this distance I would take Token over many others. The setting is nice and simple, nothing overly fancy. Located in a newly built plaza next to a gas station on US301. It is easy to find although some might find the entrance odd since its not facing the road but rather on the back of the building. It is a cozy restaurant with kitchen slightly exposed. The ramen we got were both flavorful with creamy tonkotsu soup. Definitely alleviated my Japanese ramen craving that day. Decided to try this location out since I wanted some ramen. Its a very convincing location, on US 301. There's plenty of parking and the inside is spacious and clean. The service is quick and its usually not that crowded. The service is exceptional, our server was very nice and caring. He checked on us often as well. The food, however, needs improvement, I got the chicken shoyu ramen and as soon as it came I could tell it wasn't going to be that good. There was barely any broth, as you can see from the picture, the toppings on top look dry. It didn't taste bad but the ingredients should have been blanched in the broth more and the egg was cold in its core. I will admit the menu is somewhat limited on the ramen side but I did find one worth going back for and that's the KORAN BEEF STYLE W/ BLACK GARLIC OIL RAMEN! It was very flavor. Great balance. One of my favorite ramen spots ! Used to go to the one on Dale mabry and so happy that one opened near me in Riverview. Food never disappoints. My go to is always the spicy tonkotsu. They are new and it's showing. They don't have their timing down at all. Ordered online and quoted 30 minutes to be ready. No problem at all. Show up when it was said to be good, and now we are standing waiting 30 more minutes. So an hour from order and 30 minutes past stated pickup time. And still they can't (and won't, they won't even check on where we are in the lineup) say when it will be ready. Let them work out the kinks. First time here. Very average place. Got the spicy curry ramen. Not spicy at all. Had an ok flavor nothing special or to write home about. Noodles were clumped together. Was just an ok ramen. Also got the pineapple chicken rice bowl. The fried rice was nice and had a good flavor. Chicken was nice just wish the batter had more crunch.
