The dining area. Spacious and clean as all get out.

They make the best chicken nuggets i have ever had in my life! They were crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. I actually called my mother to tell her how incredible they were. We are a chicken tender, chicken cutlet, chicken loving family all the way back to Sicily. In the realm of chicken nuggets no one has anything on this little gem of a restaurant My husband had the steak and cheese smothered in caramelized onions. We shared the tater tots and I had to have a bite of one of their famous burgers too. The patty is tender, flavorful and unique. The cheese is real Wisconsin white cheddar and lots of it! I thought they mixed up the order because steamed real cheese looks like scrambled eggs. But no, it was heaps of tender cheesy goodness. He loved his steak and cheese sandwich too. This place is a 10 out of 10, no notes. The staff were polite and the service was fast.

AMAZING! The burgers are so juicy and tasty, they melt in your mouth! The bun was bakery fresh and the whole thing was HUGE! We live around 3 hours away and I would 1000% travel to this establishment again just for the burgers. The staff made the experience even better. So kind and friendly. They explained to whole concept and our food was cooked perfectly. The cheese that they use is so creamy and coats the burger and fries. It's so special. The restaurant is clean and bright. Plenty of room to sit and enjoy your food. It's small and welcoming. If you like fresh fries that actually have potato inside and deliciously crunchy onion rings, you need to try out K. LaMay's!

The idea of steamed burgers doesn't sound very tantalizing, but when I got down to it, I was pleasantly surprised. The texture alone was interesting, with a lot of juice and flavor in the burger itself and I'm sure that bread is in house, and it crumbles when being bitten into. I ordered online and the wait wasn't bad at all, and the staff seemed friendly. The parking lot here isn't huge at all but hopefully you won't have a problem with it. People look like they're in and out of this joint. Next time I want to grab a couple of sides to get a little taste of everything.

Steamed burgers were juicy. Must stop for us Everytime we go to New haven . Customer service was fantastic.

Double steamed cheeseburger w cooked onions and pickles

My partner and I were super intrigued about this concept, and ordered a steamed cheeseburger w The Works toppings, double steamed cheeseburger w cooked onions and pickles, fries, and a Foxon Park white bitch soda - TASTE: 3/5 - the burger patties were okay; I thought they could've used more seasoning. We enjoyed the sharp taste of the Wisconsin cheddar cheese and the soda hit the spot! TEXTURE: 3/5 - the steamed cheese was melty and bubbly, which was really different. The Works toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard, mayo, ranch, and hot sauce) definitely provided nice contrast to the burger. Thought the buns were too thick and fluffy, wish they were brioche instead for smooth softness PRICE: 4/5 - total came out to ~$35 SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - the burgers were huge! The single was twice as big as I expected, never mind the double SERVICE: 4/5 - we walked in at 5:15pm on a Thursday and had the space to ourselves. The owner was friendly and helpful w menu recommendations ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - enjoyed reading the newspaper clippings about the restaurant and its history, and the vintage sign art on the walls PARKING: 5/5 - plenty of parking in the plaza

The steamed cheeseburger was solid and the service was great and prices were reasonable. I opted not to get the works, but went with tomato, onion and ketchup. I had two issues with the burger. First of all, the ketchup was overwhelming and overtook the burger both taste-wise, as well as causing it to fall apart far too easily. The second issue that I had was that the bun was much larger than the burger itself, resulting in inconsistent bites of just bread and an improper balance. Maybe this issue would have been resolved by ordering a double, but for a single it did not feel like the right ratio. The burger worked for a quick lunch, but I'm not sure that I would rush back for one either. One thing I did really enjoy though, was the cheese on the burger.

Finally came here! My good friend said this was his go-to spot in high school for a good burger. Came with him yesterday in the pouring rain for some good food. The wait staff was very friendly and greeted us at the door and was patient with us while we ordered. They have some of the best cheeseburgers for cheap here. You can fill them up with whatever you like and get stuff on the side too. I ate mine so fast it was moist and chewy and delicious. I also had a side of tater tots and they were crispy and crunchy! Great place to eat, nice staff, easy to park in as well.

I got the single steamed burger with lettuce, tomato, and my boyfriend got the double steamed burger with bacon and we both added cheese to ours. We sat at the bar and somehow there was no one inside which we didn't expect because some days the lines are crazy. Delightful surprise. Tasty, juicy, prices are ultra cheap and very friendly staff... I'd skip the fries for anybody wondering but the burgers really hit for me. I loved it!

Just functional. I was there on an NFL Sunday. There were lots of regulars. There was good interaction with the staff. I didn't catch her name, but the woman who was the only person working the bar and waiting on the tables was amazing. She was super friendly to everyone. She hustled to meet everyone's needs. It wouldn't surprise me if she is an owner too. It's hard to find people, who aren't owners, who are that committed. I asked for a wing flavor recommendation and she said "Montreal Honey" first. I ordered 6. The wings are part-baked and then finished in a fryer. Good inner and outer texture. The Montreal Seasoning was right on. The Honey didn't have much of a presence either visually or flavor-wise. More was needed to balance the salt from the Montreal Seasoning and to justify the Honey in the name. I tried both the Blue Cheese and the Ranch. I'd recommend the Blue Cheese. I'll definitely return to try more wing flavors. I also ordered a crock of chili, which was full of ground beef and topped with melted cheddar and chopped red onions. The chili was solid. I'd probably try something else before I ordered it again though. I'm a fan of Hideaway and I'll be back. 4.25 Stars

Crispy on the outside, packed with well-seasoned chicken inside. Good spice, not overpowering. Came with a salsa and a ketchup-mayo style sauce, both worked, but the salsa had a little more life to it. Before that, warm ciabatta hit the table with a house-made dipping sauce. Oil-based with garlic, blue cheese, and a few other layers going on. The blue cheese gave it a subtle kick without taking over. Nice way to start. Now to the burger, the Luger Burger. I'm assuming it's a nod to the classic steakhouse, but didn't get full confirmation. The sauce is made in-house: slightly sweet, a little acidic (I picked up balsamic), smooth texture. It's a good sauce, it just needed a bigger voice on this burger. The burger itself is large. And I mean large. Menu said thick-cut bacon... that wasn't the case. Not a dealbreaker, but noticeable. Now I'm going to get a little critical, because this is where it matters. The burger needed more salt. There's a lot of beef here, and it can absolutely handle it. Even something as simple as salting the tomato would've helped bring things together. If the bacon had actually been thick-cut, that alone might've bridged the gap. This was a very beef-forward burger, to the point where the supporting flavors barely showed up. The patty felt a bit too tightly packed, which gave it a denser bite and let the beef dominate the whole experience. A looser grind or lighter hand forming it would've made it more tender and allowed everything else to come through. It also needed more acid. The Luger sauce was applied lightly, so either lean into it more or bring in something else, a pickle, a sharper onion, something to cut through the richness and balance it out. The bun was soft, nicely toasted, and held up well, which isn't easy with a burger this size. Fries were hand-cut, properly salted, and exactly what you want. No complaints there. Overall, this is a great spot. Clean, comfortable, nicely decorated. Staff was excellent. Food was good, with flashes of being really good. With a few small tweaks, mainly balance and execution on the burger, this could easily jump to the next level.
