Unfortunately, this time the experience was completely different and very disappointing. At the beginning, I explained that my back and shoulders were in pain and needed attention. For my back, the therapist mostly used her arms, but it felt like her bones were hitting my spine rather than applying proper pressure. The massage itself felt very inconsistent -- it was really hit or miss. My shoulders, which were one of the main areas I mentioned, barely received any attention at all. For most of the massage, it felt like she was just rubbing her palms across my body rather than actually working the muscles. What was even more frustrating was that the pressure seemed completely off. Areas that should have been lighter were painful, while areas that needed deeper work were barely addressed. She would also do one technique on one side of my body and something totally different on the other side, which made the whole experience feel unbalanced and unprofessional. My husband's massage therapist was unfortunately not good either during this visit, which was surprising because the therapist he had tried previously at this place was actually pretty good. Overall, I feel like we completely wasted our money. I should have just gone to the regular massage therapist I usually see. Very disappointing experience.
