Keilor first took our reservation questions by phone and was so polite, patient, insightful, and clear with what we should expect and then we booked online with ease. His team welcomed us graciously and Claudia was very attentive during our relaxation/pre-treatment experience. I got an incredible facial from Tej who is French, so the European facial style that I was craving was beyond my expectations. I usually book Soho House Cowshed facials as a comparison but they're not in LA. My facial included a Hydrafacial element, collagen mask, (enhancement upgraded) LED light therapy, hot stone shoulder/neck massage, ice rollers, Gua for lymphatic draining, and overall was relaxing but effective for anti-aging/brightening. Originally I was anxious about the facial because I had a very nauseating morning migraine but I mentioned that to Tej and she did a scalp and head massage with pressure point activation and it magically went away! I was sooo appreciative, and truly can't wait to come back. If you're looking for a nice few hours with affective results, I highly recommend.

The atmosphere was calm and respectful, and the staff was wonderful. Helen did my scrub and did an excellent job (on the harsher side, which I loved). My husband loved it. The massages are a little rough, so I asked for them to be a little softer. But, I'm kinda a baby with massages, like I don't book deep tissue type of massages. The masseuse went on top of my back on all fours lol. I started laughing when she did that, she started to giggle too. I told my husband she was so petite I didn't mind it. The spa areas were very clean and aesthetically pleasing. I didn't bring a bathing suit, so I couldn't use the co-ed area which looked so peaceful and relaxing. The spa offered shorts for men, so my husband utilized the co-ed hot tubs. He said he was the only person in the co-ed area and men's side. In the women's area, where they had the hit tubs, women are nude. So, it's a little stressful at first because I never been to a spa where people are nude. But, I eventually got comfortable and enjoyed the hot tubs. The women's are that had the clay room, salt room, and sauna required robes. That area was so relaxing. The clay area was my favorite.

ALL THE ONE STAR REVIEWS ARE VERY ACCURATE! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY HERE!…read more The one thing that all the one star reviews have in common is that the therapist do not show up at the time or at all. This happened to me where I waited in the lobby for 20 minutes trying to get a hold of front desk (which they don't have). The staff at the hotel let me know that this happens often and there wasn't anything they could do. I gave up waiting and went back home. 3 hours past my originally appointment, they texted to reschedule. I rescheduled deep tissue massage the same day and confirmed with them the time. I go there for the second time and to your guess no one is there AGAIN. James was my massage therapist and I started to raise concerns of James qualification as a licensed massage therapist. I've had many massages and the way he undraped me was very inappropriate. It already made me feel uncomfortable. Not to mentioned, he left a bruise on my back the following day! My friends are massage therapist and they said the muscle he was working which is where the bruise is located- is a tender spot. You are NOT suppose apply a lot of pressure in that area. I also asked him to perform a different method because all of his moves were just the same repeated simple movements and he proceed to the same simple movements any average joe could have done. In another instance, he used all his body weight towards my body that was way too close to my bottom rib. I honestly think I was going to go home with broken ribs..I was really confused what kind of massage I was getting.. This isn't the WWE?! I didn't find the massage to have any technicality to it just the same o' movements. I was in touch with Eva, who seems to be the owner of Faris, and told her my experience at her spa. I mean the lack. of. customer. service. wow. She tried to argue that the bruise is not from the massage. Nothing was resolved in our conversation. I would NEVER recommend a spa like Frais.. not even to my enemies.. Save your time and money, folks. There are a lot more spas in DTLA and Ktown worth your while.

It is a sanctuary amidst the hustle bustle of Los Angeles in Korea town and safely located across from the police station. A plus parking is free in the plaza downstairs. The moment you enter you are greeted by the friendly office manager and you meet store owner Eunice. The hospitality is felt immediately. You are issued a locker and towels with a cute pink robe. You cannot wear bathing suits or shoes, but the robe is what you wear and the spa is so clean and smells amazing inside. They have various rooms such as charcoal clay sauna, infrared sauna, steam room, Himalayan salt room, Himalayan salt bath, cold room, oxygen room, mugwort tea bath where you pour the basin of mugwort tea and drench it over your body in a seated shower section. Mugwort tes smells earthy and helps with skin issues. You can do a body scrub to exfoliate your dead skin and your skin will be amazingly soft and dewy. They use a scrubbing mitten and you can request gentler scrubbing versus a new mitt which will be more firm exfoliating scrub. The massage is 1 hour long and extremely relaxing. You can choose green tea or collagen milk for your massage. The collagen milk left my skin so dewy and soft. In the end they wrap your hair into a cute bun atop your head and wrapped in a cute pink towel. The V steam is something new I never heard of before and tried for first time. You are in a private room and sit on a cushion seat with an circular opening and beneath are herbs heated and you wear a cute cloth robe to absorb the steam over your privates hence V stream -- benefits with cramping, hormones, constipation, fertility, etc They offer a biscuit and tea while you stay in treatment x 30 minutes. If it gets too hot you lift the robe upward and it is cooler for your body. There is an area for food that opens at noon. The menu is a variety like Bimbibap or ginseng chicken soup and more. I will definitely come back to try this eating area. Every room is meticulously designed, clean and relaxing. I felt pampered here and can't wait to return. They do not allow photos otherwise you just have to visit here and experience it for yourself.

From the moment my treatment began, the body scrub attendant's demeanor felt cold and unwelcoming. Her tone of voice came across as harsh, and when she spoke to me, it was loud enough that other guests looked over. Since everyone is undressed during these treatments, that made me feel especially uncomfortable and vulnerable. The body scrub itself was much rougher than I expected. I wasn't asked whether the water temperature was comfortable, and the pressure felt unnecessarily aggressive rather than relaxing. I left feeling more sore than refreshed, which isn't what I expect from a spa treatment. This was also the second month in a row that I was assigned to the same body scrub attendant, even though I've never had her before and had always been treated by someone else in the usual wet room. It struck me as unusual, especially since I had previously noticed her speaking very harshly to other staff members. I'm sharing this feedback in the hope that it's taken constructively. I truly enjoy this spa overall, but I hope more attention is given to making every guest feel comfortable, respected, and cared for during their treatment.

First, we got a couple of soju slushies and ordered the fried dumplings. I have never liked dumplings, but these were THE BOMB! They came with a sweet chili sauce that really made it taste great. Then, we enjoyed the Himalayan salt room. Some people were talking too much which was annoying, but I understand it's a spa and people come with their friends and family to unwind. We enjoyed a few more sauna rooms before heading downstairs. Downstairs, there were two pools and 3-4 hot tubs. We ordered delicious mojitos at the pool bar and enjoyed the rest of our time. I cannot wait to come back. A day pass was only $40 to enjoy all the amenities. Although the drinks and food were extra, I was so glad to be able to order food and drinks at a spa.

Unfortunately, our visit today was so disappointing that we decided to leave almost immediately. After showering, we went to the women's jacuzzi and realized it wasn't working. We let a staff member know, and all she said was that the button was broken, it was no longer in service, and that we should go to the front desk. There was no apology or effort to offer a solution. When we spoke with Levante at the front desk, he was understanding and professional, just as he always is. He greeted us kindly, listened to our concern, and let us know that since we had just arrived, we could receive a refund. We appreciated his customer service. While we went back to get changed so that we could leave, our experience took a turn for the worse. When we got back to the front, Jason, the janitor, was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Instead of trying to help or speak respectfully, he said, "You've only been here 9 times, and there's nothing we can do for you." His comment was unnecessary, dismissive, and completely inappropriate. As paying customers, we expected to be treated with courtesy, not spoken to in that manner. The issue wasn't just that the jacuzzi was out of service-things break. The bigger problem was the lack of communication and the way we were treated afterward. If a major amenity is unavailable, customers should be informed before paying. And no employee, regardless of their position, should speak to guests disrespectfully. Thank you to Levante for being professional and helpful, but because of the poor handling of the situation and Jason's rude behavior, this visit left a very negative impression. I hope management addresses both the communication around out-of-service amenities and the way customers are treated. REPLY TO THEIR RESPONSE : First, of all 10 to 15 minutes after arriving, we approached the front desk to report the issue. A staff member named Levante explicitly informed us that we could receive a refund. Based entirely on that assurance, we immediately went to shower so we could leave. Our primary reason for visiting your facility is to use the women's jacuzzi; had we been told a refund was not possible, we would not have rushed to shower and exit. When we returned to the front desk, we waited several minutes for Jason. Rather than listening to our explanation, Jason approached us with a very poor, rude attitude. We spent another 20 minutes trying to resolve the matter with him.To be clear, I never initially demanded a full refund. I only expected one because your own staff member offered it to us. Given the misinformation and the poor service we experienced, I am simply asking for a $10 discount credit toward a future visit. I strongly encourage management to properly train staff on company policies and take accountability for the conflicting information provided by your team. It's frustrating to see so many companies automatically defend their employees instead of taking the time to genuinely investigate customer complaints. Too often, it feels like the focus is on avoiding negative reviews rather than determining what actually happened. The reality is that businesses and employees make mistakes. When multiple customers share similar negative experiences, it's difficult to believe that every one of them is inaccurate. Instead of dismissing complaints or becoming defensive, companies should take them seriously, investigate them fairly, and hold employees accountable when necessary. Owning mistakes and addressing them is what builds trust and credibility. Customers are much more likely to respect a business that acknowledges when something went wrong and takes meaningful steps to improve, rather than one that automatically shifts blame or dismisses legitimate concerns.
