Gimbab comes with a dipping sauce. It's a self service restaurant. Twice in a week, Cheese Ramen is pretty amazing !!! Great flavor, left nothing in the bowl both visits. K-Street Original Kimbop also was amazing coupled with the sauce takes it over the top. Friendly service, take a buzzer & find a table, plenty of seating in the food court. Some of the best kimbap I've ever had! The fillings were perfect and the bulgogi was flavorful and tender. The spicy mayo that it came with was the perfect dipping sauce, but the kimbap was also delicious on it's own. I took it on a picnic and it was extremely tasty and satisfying. Noticing that K Street is known to have various Korean snacks and street food, I was excited that they had two types - rabokki and ddukboki. I also liked that the boiled egg doesn't come automatically with and it's an add-on. I just wished it had more fishcake! The amount of cheese was super generous - yum! Pretty good kimbob but Myunga still takes #1 in the area for me. I've purchased the spicy pork and the spicy o send kimbobs and I loved how little rice was used as filler. It's the telltale sign of honest and well-made kimbob. It would take the #1 spot if they offered a bit more variety in flavors, like spicy anchovy maybe? O deng tang was fine- the dipping sauce just seemed to be soy sauce which was odd but I had my own at home to sub, so that was fine. Apparently the punshik here is good and I love kimbap so I knew I had to give it a try today at lunch. My friends also got the tteokbokki here which had a lot of fish cakes and rice cakes - definitely something to try next time as the couple bites I took were pretty tasty and saucy. TUNA KIMBAP - 9.99 At initial glance, the seaweed had a nice sesame oil gloss and I knew it was going to be satisfying. The kimbap here are extremely stuffed and definitely worth it. This place has the best freshly made kimbap. Everytime it comes out nice and warm and STUFFED with ingredients. Every time we come to this plaza even slightly hungry we'll stop by and grab some. Have yet to be disappointed. Only thing is sometimes they'll have some pre-made ones, still decent but definitely not as good as the freshly made ones. Spicy pork kimbop was not spicy, it had good gochujang (Korean red pepper paste) flavor and kind of sweet. I love that they don't put a lot of rice, it's thin layer of rice is perfect and loaded with other delicious ingredients. Spicy o-deng kimbop was spicy! I love spicy and this hit the spot for me. Its not seasoned with gochujang to make it spicy, if I'm correct I think they sautéed the thinly sliced o-deng with some type of spicy diced/minced peppers. It was pretty spicy for me. Siroo Juk Story used to be my go to spot (specifically the Elliott City location), but K Street stole my heart with their Kimbap and tteokboki! As a Korean American, Kimbap & Tteokboki will FOREVER be my comfort food. Not sure how, but I can and WILL eat these foods till my stomach literally bursts. Anyways, on to the food. Bulgogi Kimbap 5/5: I cannot say this enough, for some this may be average but at K Street???? This is FANTASTIC. The amount of Bulgogi they put in is ridiculous, but hey who says I'm complaining? On top of that, the meat has such great flavor and depth, almost as if they cooked it on top of a grill? Shrimp Tempura Kimbap 4/5: I kinda wish they made this fresh, instead all their Kimbaps were laid out on a table in front of the booth. This didn't give me as much wow factor since the shrimp was a bit cold and on the soggy side. I also tried their Tteokboki which is probably the best Tteokboki I've had in the DMV, the sauce is so spot on! They offer an impressive variety of Kimbap with all your favorites including Bulgogi, Pork, Tuna, Crab Meat, and Fish cake. Overall, the flavor was pretty average nothing special but nothing really bad. The Kimbap might be a little over priced but my main concern is that everything is premade. The concern is not necessarily that they are premade but more for how long they have been left out especially with offering tuna fish and fish cake. If you are looking for a quick bite, then K street certainly satisfies the Kimbap craving. Went with the original kimbop as it is the first thing on the menu so must be the best. As a Korean, the kimbop ain't bad. The ingredients are well seasoned and reminds me of homemade kimbop in certain ways. Here are the reasons it ain't my favorite: a) Price. Kimbop is supposed to be cheap street food. Granted they have the overhead cost of being in a grocery store and we got the bulgogi, $9 (with tax) for 10 pieces. Keep in mind, I like to get the most out of my dollars. b) Bite size. Personally I don't like overstuffed kimbop. I believe that each slice should be enough to pop in your mouth as one bite and not strain to keep everything in your mouth while chewing. c) Rice proportion. Kimbop should have a nice balance between rice and the the inner ingredients. This most definitely doesn't have much rice, which adds to the fact that it tends to crumble if you don't handle it correctly. It may seem like you're getting a better deal since you get more of the meats, but some times less is more. d) Wrapping technique. This is me being picky, but it does add to the overall experience: wrapping technique. There are many factors that add to this but you want it to be wrapped tightly to ensure ingredients don't fall out as you fumble to pick it up with your chopsticks or hands. Now this may be because they're trying to include too much of the inner ingredients or not enough sticky rice, but kimbop should be wrapped with love with the nori tightly wrapping the inner ingredients like a warm hug. Charlotte's Cliff notes: If you're looking for well seasoned, fairly healthy, easy to eat food with no care for price point, I would check out this place. If you're looking for an authentic Korean experience or cheap eats, I would pass. Tip: The bulgogi kimbop (when we got it as of 7/24) has perilla (aka the leaves of a sesame plant; it does NOT taste like sesames) leaves which has a VERY fragrant flavor. I love it but to some it may be a bit off putting. read more

I had the regular tteokbokki here and while it tastes fine, it just doesn't quite taste like what you would find off a street stall in korea. The mix of sweet spicy and savory is a little off for me. Also, it came with too much sauce (which is more suited for rapbokki). And lastly, I like my tteok to be thicker. I enjoyed both but especially the squid- the squid was perfectly cooked and not too spicy. The kimbap are packed and constructed well so they don't fall apart on the way to your mouth. I typically come here for the kimbap which costs either $7.50 or $8.50 depending on the filling. They all have a nice filling to rice ratio (lots of filling and not as much rice) and you will get quite full. I almost never see kimbap this large at Korean supermarkets in this area. Ten pieces per order. We have tried: - spicy pork (my favorite here!!) - original - bulgogi - spicy tuna (uses cooked tuna) Despite the fact that they charge a few bucks more than other Korean supermarkets for kimbap, I think the size makes it worth the money very well. When you walk into K-Mart wrap around to the left and go past the cashiers, then to the right, then to the back... Then you'll find the food court. There's a handful of restaurants/cafes that have a good variety of food to try. I've gone to a handful, but tried K Street for the first time this past weekend because I was craving Kimbap and was glad I visited. Really filling Kimbap and had great flavor. The breaded pork cutlet was on top of the ramen in a large bowl. The ramen came with pieces of scrambled egg and some veggies. The broth was tasty as was the pork cutlet. I like the bulgogi roll they had here. It took them about 5 mins to make one since there was not one sitting the shelf to purchase. Lots of good ingredients and minimal filler (rice). As far as value, I think Myungga Gimbap still holds the crown but K Street will do in a pinch. read more
