I was shopping in Lotte yesterday and came across this Sushi place. I ordered the Spicy Roll Combo. It was pretty good. The price is reasonable.

I haven't had the sushi here yet but I love buying the dessert tteok or dduk. They are like mini rice cakes. The filling can vary so ask the cashier but usually its mung bean, sesame seeds, sesame oil, and honey. I love how their so round and small so it only requires one bite.

Totally different :o $75 platter as of 10/29/17

The sushi was just ok, the prices are good for what you get. I would not go out of my way to get this sushi though.

Fast takeout sushi. Fish was fresh but rice was overly sticky. Had to ask for miso soup.

Service was friendly and completely on point. You gotta love a restaurant when the moment you've drained your ice water, your server is immediately there with a refill. Taiko has a huge menu, pretty much catering to anything you might hanker. I noticed that in addition to traditional Japanese fare, there were Chinese and Thai dishes as well. For starters we went with the shumai, miso soup and harumaki. The shumai was very good, though I'm a little less certain about the vinegary dipping sauce that came with the shumai. The miso soup was good and we liked the finely diced tofu in it. Harumaki are crispy spring rolls, and we liked these too. We also ordered an eel roll. It had been broiled and with the sauce on it was very tasty. JP's entrée was the Pork Katsu bento box. The pork katsu was excellent and so were the California rolls that came with the box. The bento box also came with miso soup and a side salad. My entrée was the Beef Udon. Very attractively presented, it had a smoky flavor and was packed with beef along with bits of asparagus and zucchini. It was pretty good. We were pleasantly surprised at the end of our meal to receive complementary scoops of a delicious vanilla ice cream. Considering the excellent service, big menu and good food, I'm going with five stars.

This is located in a mall so we were able to find parking in the packed parking lot. They had womens and mens restrooms in the space. The service was a bit awkward, but fine overall. My husband built his own bowl that was fine. The miso soup I got was alright. I wish I liked my scallop nigiri and salmon avocado roll more. Overall the food was ok. There is something deeply satisfying about being able to order whatever you fancy without feeling like every additional roll requires a minor financial consultation. Better still, the quality is actually very good, which is where many all-you-can-eat arrangements lose the plot. Here, the fish is fresh, the options are plentiful, and the whole experience feels properly worth it. This is absolutely a place to arrive hungry and leave very happy indeed. As I was taking a walk I happened to pass by Yamazato Sushi and Spice and said why not. BTW, I LOVE sushi and can be a harsh critic. I started with an order of shumai (6 petite pieces) and knew the rest of my meal would be excellent. It was flavorful, sumptuous with just the right amount of crisp and softness. One of the things I always struggle with at a sushi restaurant is portion size. Mostly on the "too small" size but sometimes on the "too big" In this case it was borderline perfect and bordering on the larger piece. Legit 2-bite nigiri, with the rolls being cut for a mouthful, but not quite embarrassing. As per my usual I enjoyed an ebi, hamachi and unagi on the nigiri side and my roll was the Volcano. Yum, Yum, Yum and YUMMM! All good, all fresh, all nicely prepared. Washed it all down with an unfiltered cold saki and was completely content and satisfied. The ambience was open and inviting and the restaurant was mostly full with more people arriving (always a good sign). The service was friendly, efficient and helpful, so a big shoutout to Min. And a BIG thank you to Steve, the owner, who was gracious enough to spend some time with me and chat before I departed. Looking forward to returning the next time I make my way back to the DC area. The vegas roll and the classic ship tempura were probably the best out of everything I tried. The pork katsu was okay, it actually had a bit of an oil smell to it. Not the best I've had. Eggs & Sushi is one of those hideouts and if you're not careful, might end up eating 7k calories before you leave. You'll only know this place exists if you live or work in the Lorton area where Eggs & Sushi stands firm. If not for Google Maps, you may drive on by without a thought. I stopped because their simple sign but just some quirky in a strange way caught my eye and it's in the middle of a warehouse street where you would not expect food places to be. Surprisingly, there are always little cafes in these kind of places that feed the immediate workers there. They are sometimes the hidden gems nobody will hear about unless you work in that area. This is one of them. Walking in, it feels like a small diner, yellow walls, lots of menu above the grill area displayed on multiple screens, properly lit dining area. They take orders at the end and at a kiosk as well. Window seats, couple of tables, and some bar seats also. Seems simple enough but this place is the ultimate trap for the hungry. Be careful! When you look up, you realize they have a vast menu and varied in the most fantastic way. You have your generic American style food, eggs, pancakes, french toast, sausage, sandwiches, coffee, smoothie, an all day breakfast menu. Then you keep walking around to look at the menu, you see sushi, rolls, poke bowls, ramen, some dons, etc. You might think, hmm, they might be overloaded on the menu. Wrong! They make fantastic sandwiches! Smaller not overpriced ramen but with lots of oomph flavor! These guys bring the umami and drip it like masters. The dons hit, the ramen hits, the sandwiches hit, and my all time favorite breakfast item, the elegantly simple French toast hits. They are serving hits here and only a few know about it. Service was adequate from their high school kid waiters. The owners at the grill are very friendly if you get a chance to interact with them. Just a very chill ambience. It's diner that makes me want to move to Lorton. If you find yourself here one day, be careful. The menu makes you want to try everything. I haven't touch everything yet so I'm definitely coming back to try more. I just hope all these reviews won't mean I can't find my cozy window seat in the future.

Each member of our party of four enjoyed our respective meals. I had a fish sandwich that was absolutely scrumptious. Throughout the meal, Olivia returned to the table many times to make sure that we were attended to, and satisfied with our meals. Not what I expected but it will suit specific people looking for their offerings. Burton's Grill is your typical all American restaurant but focuses on serving all the dietary needs of Americans with allergies or not. The place looks new, the kind of place you wanna wear clean clothes at a minimum and not look slovenly. Outside sitting, full large bar, sports on several TVs above the center of the bar, and a lot of servers milling around here. Great lighting, not loud but not quiet either, just chill. We were starved so our eyes ate. Brunch was still being served till 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays so I grabbed the French Toast and the Steak and Eggs. My friend had allergies with gluten so she went with a salmon and some super salad dish. She was happy as all the dishes had markers for gluten free, food free, soul free, etc. Very helpful for all allergy infused humans. Great waitress btw. Fantastic service. Food came after some time, we requested for everything to come out on time. Steak and egg was okay but I'd go with the prime rib next time. The steak came out sliced with 2 poached eggs on top. The hash on the side was on point. Salmon okay too. Salad was okay but we should have added a protein on top. A little dry on dressing maybe but we could have requested more so that's on us. On the other hand, the French toast had me scratching my head. It was cubed challah bread but eggs was 0, zero, nada eggs on it. I thought I was eating croutons which would have gone great with the super salad dish thinking about it now. The French toast really bunched up my undies, French toast is my favorite breakfast thing you see. They explained it was prepped that way for allergy sake due to the egg. Well, I'm not allergic and never said I was, but my friend was but she wasn't eating my dish so why make it in this fashion. Overall, this experience was just okay. Nice environment and service but I realized how lucky I am not to be allergic cause if I have to eat French toast like this forever, I'm not sure what to do. Definitely not up to eating croutons with syrup.
