My family and I haven't done any termite work since we bought our house a couple years ago. We noticed some termites b/c of some damaged woodwork, but didn't know where to start because usually these kind of things are looked over. I searched on Yelp for just a random termite company just to get some simple answers and I'm glad I found Komen Termite. I spoke to Josh, and he was great to work with. Answered all my questions patiently and advised me clearly on what my next steps were. From there, he helped my family and I understand the entire process step by step and he was EXTREMELY responsive. Some other termite companies that my friend recommended were not as personal since every time I called in, I would get referred to another person and another person. Not to mention, Komen Termite is a family-run business so they value long term clients, authenticity, and are extremely personable. At the end of everything, Josh's constant clear communication and his work on our house was clean and easy from start to finish - they even take off the inspection fee from your final invoice (if you go with their company for the treatment), so that was a nice touch. Even post-work, Josh still manages to follow up with me and my family to make sure that everything is going smoothly. Please trust your home with a company that does the job well - I did a lot of research and I can assure that Komen Termite was a great pick for my family. I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by this termite company. Initially, they conducted an inspection for the seller from whom I purchased my house. Unfortunately, they missed a major area infested with termites. When I contacted them to address this oversight, I was met with rudeness from Josh, who made the process of getting someone to fix the problem extremely difficult. As a new homeowner, discovering that the inspector did not thoroughly examine the property is both frustrating and concerning. The lack of diligence during the inspection is unacceptable, and their treatment of me as an upset customer was appalling. After their so-called "treatment," I had to hire another termite company at my own expense to re-evaluate the property. This second inspection revealed two additional spots in the patio that also required treatment, which the first company had missed. I cannot recommend this company at all. My experience was marred by poor customer service, incomplete inspections, and unprofessional behavior. If you are okay with being treated with sarcasm and disrespect, then by all means, hire this company. Their quick, 10-minute inspection with a flashlight is hardly reassuring. But be warned, you might end up regretting it when termites start damaging your house in a few years. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for a more reliable and respectful termite inspection service. read more

Had a good experience with Komen. Getting an appointment for the inspection was easy. The inspector Ray showed up right on time, spent 2 hours at the property doing a very thorough inspection including the attic and crawl space. Decided to go with them because their calculated volume of the house was spot on and the price for both fumigation and treatment of subterranean termites was fair. They did sub out the actual fumigation but use a company that was equally impressive. The fumigators showed up as scheduled, tented the property and pumped in the correct amount of Vikane. They were also courteous and used booties when inside. Three days later, the tent was gone and got a green light to occupy property. Jeff prepared everything and left nothing to chance. They even do wood repairs at really good prices. Kudos to Komen for a job well done. read more

Had termite droppings in master bath and garage in my house in Walnut. Elpedio came out, did a thorough inspection report. I had several facia wood dry rot and termite damage also. Give five stars for the carpentry repair and paint matching. Bruce went over the report at the end to make sure all the carpentry work was done as listed. Fumigation occurred a few days later and went smoothly and quickly, although I would probably just give 4 stars for the fumigation. I have Spanish tile so it was expected that some would be broken - ended up being around 15 tiles at about $4 per tile, and had to pay a roofer to replace them. My only other complaint is that after tent teardown, I found dirt/footprints through the house. Maybe the fumigation team should use shoe coverings as a standard practice when they go into a house. read more

I have nothing but praise for K Termite. They arrived right on time. The work was excellent and they explained everything to us in detail. The work was beyond what we expected. For example, after termite work was started, it was discovered that there was a section of fascia board that had dry rot which turned out to be in worse condition than what was first thought. But instead of charging additional cost to replace the big section of fascia board, they did it for free. I found that to be amazing! In addition, K Termite discovered subterranean termites that the other termite company never saw. The company is family owned. They are very ethical. The employees including those who come to the job for the estimate as well as the termite work are very friendly and responsive. They deserve a 5-star rating. read more
