Folks were nice and food was decent. The car racing however was an underwhelming experience. The cars were mostly running on 60% of their capacity for about 7 of the 8 laps. The only lap we had a chance to overtake was in one lap - alas it was over before I knew it and I was back to driving at 60% of the power. There were not a lot of crashes or anything that might have changed it. It looked more like a kid's racing. Literally no one overtook anyone and ended up with same positions in the end even though some of us were more aggressive in driving than the others - there simply wasn't enough power to overtake when you cap the power of the go kart. Don't think I will be paying that much to feel like I am driving slower than I am in California traffic. read more

Second time I have gone to this place with my boys and have left disappointed and discouraged. Arrived right when the doors opened both days, and after checking in, was told we had to wait 2 hours to have a race! What kind of customer service makes people wait 2 hours over a party that hasn't even begun to arrive? They also refused to allow them to drive the larger karts, even though they met the height criteria. I argued that just 2 months prior, they allowed it. I am done with this business and would rather not waste my time and gas driving there. read more

Was at K1 speed last night. It was not as busy as it usually is. Have to say, this place runs like clockwork. Not sure if it was because it was slow but my group of 4 were able to get 3 races in almost back to back. I can see the employees truly care about their job. The customer service is very good! We ordered some chicken tacos and French fries yesterday. The only gripe I have is the price of the drinks. Water is way over priced. Maybe they can make some adjustments on that. I was surprised to see the manager walking around talking to customers and ensuring all of us were enjoying themselves. I have been to San Francisco and Sacramento and they did not do that, even when it was slow. Overall, this is my new favorite K1 location. Highly recommended! read more

It's a well-run venue, very clean and large. I can see how it can get busy during a different season; there's plenty of arcade games and activities to do while waiting. Surprisingly, while it wasn't even that busy we had a projected 45 minute wait, but we ended up waiting less. Our group of 6 got paired with 2 other riders. What got me the most was the price. They advertise a single race to be about $25, but you have to get the membership ($7) which only lasts a year (though you get a free race on your birthday). Luckily, there was a $5 Yelp-Check-in discount to offset some of that cost. But $31 for a first-timer to do one race? That's just 12 laps...and that's if you manage to finish it in time before the first person finishes too early. The staff was friendly and everything went smoothly. It's a fun experience, but pretty short. Not worth the money for me, but if you make the most of the membership then it can be more enjoyable. read more

Why allow people to "check-in" online only to get there and tell them there are no open spots available the WHOLE day (next few days actually). We drove out there in the rain only to be turned away. Fix your website - don't allow people to check in, tell people there will be a wait, or tell people to call in. Disappointed dad and even more disappointed kids. read more

Extremely bad experience for my family at K1 Speed in Dublin today June 20, 2022. My son and his friend went on a Junior race around 3PM. When my son got into Junior kart 44, I could see he cannot reach the pedals. The employees tried to pull the seat forward, but I heard them saying Kart 44 is broken and it cannot be adjusted. I pointed out to them, my son cannot reach the pedals, and asked them to change his kart. They said that he can reach the pedals even though I saw them trying to adjust his seat. After the race started, I could see my son could not reach the pedals. When I pointed that again to the employees, the track manager first said that he is pressing the brake pedal, but I could see my son struggling to reach the GO padal. They blamed it on my son saying initially he was braking, than they changed the story and said he is not strong enough to turn the wheel. The track manager was rude and dismissive. We had a very bad experience. read more

This place is a lot of fun.. The karts are electric which means instant torque and speed without the stinky smell of fuel like the gas karts. Its also very high tech.. they can slow everyone down or stop everyone in their tracks by just pressing a button. A word of caution: it can get very competitive and if you get wacked by another car at speed it can knock the wind out of you or jerk you around really bad.. So play at your own risk.. read more

don't sign up for the league races!! So in organized. Supposed to start at 6:30 and we were lucky if they ever started by 7:15. They have different age groups and every week they run the juniors, 5-9 years old last so their final heat isn't until we'll after 9:30. The older kids and adults are usually finished before the juniors even start! As for the 11-16 yrs old they rely on the computers instead of the actual race cars and need to continually rerun the races so it is a A very long night for just 2 races 3-4 hours!! Took my 9 year old and his friend here. This is a new location for K1. Super clean. The racing is really well run and staffed with three guys watching the action carefully at all times. I was impressed at how serious they were about safety, which is nice because these cars go quite fast! He kids had a blast! We came on a Sunday evening and there was a very short wait to race. Staff was helpful, once we got them registered - which took some time. It's not a cheap activity, but I can imagine what a great place for a kids bday party. FYI - Little kids race in slower cars and in their own separate race. Must be 58" to ride in adult car/race. Must be at least 48" to race in kids race. We will be back. read more

Quality: 4 Value: 4 Well it's official folks. I have zero need for speed, but it was fun to try this out. Overall, the karts were fairly safe, although they were able to go fast enough where if you did a tight turn without slowing down, you could spin out. Due to some collisions though, my partner and I got some bruises and were sore, but overall it was not bad! The services were okay. I did want to ask someone who worked the track about some advice on how to drive effectively, but they were either too busy or too unavailable for me to even get a question in, which was not great. If I had a safety question, it would be extremely hard to ask it, especially for someone who is more shy. The racing system was just okay too. I know a K1 Grand Prix is based on best lap in round 1, and then placement in round 2. I'm by no means a professional racer, but I felt with the way the race was set up, it was not the best system and detracted some fun for me. Lastly, there was not a good place for me to store my belongings, which means I kept my keys in my pocket. They actually fell out of my pocket during the race and I had to stop to retrieve them from the seat of my car as they were bouncing around. Because of this, it was either a safety hazard for the racers by my keys falling out of my kart, or a safety hazard for me because I had to stop pretty abruptly to retrieve them. There should be a better storage system. read more

Had a great afternoon driving the racetrack for my 10th year old's bday (he got a free ride for visiting with in 7 days of his bday!)! We called ahead and confirmed there were no parties or large groups slotted for the day (which was nice) and we were giving a heads up that they were closing to the public a little early. Kiddo rode the junior races and I rode adult (adults must be 13 and at least and 4'10"/58"). Team members Angela (at check in) and Kevin (on the race track) were particularly kind and helpful. Plan to spend a while at the track. The races last 5+ minutes, however the wait time in between rides is about 20 min. There are arcade games and a food court to keep you entertained. A fun experience, but a little expensive and misleading. They advertise that you get 16 laps per race, but that's based on the fastest racer in each race. They get 16 laps, but the race ends after that, regardless of how many laps everyone else has had. I get that people drive at different speeds, but I think they should maybe make it based on the slowest person, within reason. (Maybe have a time cap) I drove pretty fast, and I still only got 12 laps in, before the race was over. P.S. I'm quite sure it has a disclaimer about this in the fine print, but this shouldn't be buried in fine print, if 16 laps is advertised. read more

Terrible experience. Check in a party of 4 at noon. Told if we wanted to ride together to come back at 2 for a race just around 2:15. Nope. Checked with desk at 3:15 and they said it would another hour. Then we asked when, the manager checked and they split my husband and all the kids in different races, the first one being my youngest. They never shared all the times for all the different races for our now separated party of 4 but the races wouldn't start until after 4. We arrived and paid at 12:15!!! We asked and received a refund but our day was ruined by waiting at the facility and nearby for the good part of a Sunday afternoon. The only way to have a schedule honored there, I am told by others, is to have a party there or be a regular there (they cater to the regular racers when they arrive). If you go there right when they open you're in luck to race laps. But anytime after 12pm it's always 3-5 hours wait time which is ridiculous. South San Francisco always mix groups up with other people and they're wait time is usually 30 mins. read more

Almost all had something wrong and they reply with excuses about being short staffed or something similar. Expect that you can't make a reservation. (2-3 hour wait) Expect to be a walk in customer with a line in front of you. Expect to pay for a required membership fee. Expect long delays to get track time. Expect to be told no. Expect to pay an extra fee to use a credit card. Expect to not be able to use their coupons. They end up charging more if you try to use a coupon. Like I said, great business concept but when you bait and switch customers on top of price gouging, expect the complaints to add up to closing. K-1 corporate needs to rethink this one. read more

Had a great time at K1 for my friends birthday! We ended up paying for two races and I don't think my arms would handle a third very well. The karts are electric and very quick to accelerate. The track is smooth and allows the karts to slide a bit and "cross up" on the tight turns and briskly accelerate out of them. The staff is awesome and do a fantastic job keeping it safe for all levels of drivers. I love the way the staff enforces slower drivers to allow faster cars to pass. The scoring is displayed on a large lighted sign and I kept an eye on it while on the straightaway, but even better was the immediate email sent to your inbox after the race. Also I enjoyed the pork sliders and fries before the race. Plenty of room for birthday parties and groups. Can't wait to come back with a larger group of friends. read more

Went here for my birthday with the family. After registering, was told my son couldn't drive. I asked why, since he's over the height limit. Was told need to speak to a manager. Spoke to a manager, I asked why since he's over the height limit. I asked about specifics, weight, overall size, she said because there are aggressive drivers in the afternoon and he might get hurt. Um, aren't aggressive drivers the real problem? She couldn't elaborate any more than that. They had a spot for rest of us 2 hours later so we discussed if we wanted to stay. She came back and said there was a spot for him to drive in the junior race in 20 minutes. (Not sure how in the 3 minutes since we registered that a spot opened up that wasn't there before). And then there were 2 more spots for the regular cars that opened up 20 minutes after that, again that weren't open before. I emailed corporate and got no response. I get that they were concerned about his safety (even though they never specifically said that, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt) but you should be able to explain your objective policies and criteria, otherwise that opens you up to unhappy customers and potentially litigation. read more

Really fun place to do a group outing. A big adrenaline rush hugging corners and doing some rubbing while racing. Definitely need some patience and set your expectations before coming - we checked in at 10:45am on a Saturday and didn't race until 1pm. No problem there, our group grabbed lunch outside at a restaurant and came back right on time to race. Staff was nice, racing experience was awesome. read more

I have raced K1 in the past and never had such a poor experience as I did yesterday. When we first checked in we were told walk-ins would be able to drive in 1 hour and again in an hour after that. We registered and as we were registering one of the agents told us it would be at least a 1-hour wait. We went back to another agent after registering and they said they would accommodate us in 15 minutes and again in an hour after that for our second race. We thought great, we can finish up quickly before it gets more busy. Well...that's where things continued to go downhill. We were paired with some middle-aged people and some young kids for our first race. One of the kids was driving so slow that it was dangerous each time we lapped them (I must have lapped them 4 times during the race), and I had others on my back the entire time. I felt so bad for the kid who spun out in front of me - I stopped to let them get back on the track and someone slammed into the back of my cart at full speed, jarring my back so badly that I almost had the wind knocked out of me. I don't understand why the race personnel didn't stop the race when the kid spun out and was stalled, blocking most of the track. I've never seen so much bumping at these places, even from the older experienced riders. You really need to have your race personnel keep better watch on the racers. I also don't understand why you paired inexperienced kids with adults...there are carts for kids and you didn't put them in those carts and keep them separated from the more experienced riders. That was a waste of our money and now my back is extremely sore because of your negligence. I will never come back here again and I hope you think more about protecting your customers than you do about charging them a lot of money only to get hurt! read more

Waste of money everytime I come. Honestly just disappointed in the management not caring for customers. I was given free races for having to wait over three hours after being told it would only be 45 minutes. I got hurt on the track and didn't even finish my race. So the manager on duty granted free races, when I went to use them the manager on duty at 8:30 on 12/14 told me I had none and all my saved races which I spent lots of money on was gone. Waste of money and they don't care, same rude attitude every single time it's disappointing, especially in such a nice area this is just not a nice place. read more

Wow. This place is so bad. This is not the first go cart track I've been to. But it is the worse. I went to this particular location because it's close. I won't be back. The wait is long. They don't do the "classroom", but instead blast through a laminated sheet as fast as possible. The workers seem completely drained of their souls. They don't care. They just go through the motions. The food is horrible and takes an hour to prepare. There was actually a line of people getting refunds for their food because it took so long to get out! The pool table is missing the "6" ball and there's no chalk. The air hockey game was broken. The "regulars" are loud and rowdy. I can't think of a single good thing to say about this place except for "at least the cars work properly." read more

If you like a comparison on K1 speed at a different location, please take the time to read my review on the Santa Clara location and enjoy the difference between the two. Come to K1 in Dublin, this is my first time here. Our wait? Hour and fifteen minutes (which at the time we thought was too long but in retrospect was a cake walk). When we got to our course, we were concerned that we had kids on our rounds. We honestly thought that K1 would put the kids together on a track and adults on their own round. But both times, even when the kids crashed (one kid had some type of panic and actually stopped her kart midway and wouldn't get back in her kart on the track. Not trying to call her dad a liar or anything but he had assured the guy at the podium that they had done this before and even told his kids about how to drive the track lines. But clearly her refusal was different reaction then someone who has done it before. I hope she is ok, they even got her a booster seat to help her get back in and after three tries of telling her she can do it, she finished the race. Props to you, I know its difficult) they never slowed us down. I'm not used to this track so I was hitting 30-33s but I wasn't going 10/10s like I normally do at Santa Clara since it was new. There were a lot of kids. Unsure about safety, my friend said he never used the brakes on his kart yet he kept brake checking me eight different times (?); Faulty cart? And my other friend said that his brakes didn't work and kept trail acceleration the entire time. But we were always constant in speed, never slowed down/nerfed. This course is a bit narrow but I like the turns, something I definitely want to practice on. However I wasn't aware of the cubbies below the helmets. So I had lost my keys and phone. My keys were found on the track and Kart Rashed and slightly split open but surprisingly my keys still work for my car. My phone I found maybe twenty minutes after was wedged between the kart bar and seat. Staff said that was the first time a phone didn't shred in half. But I want to take a moment to say, that they did everything they could to help me find my phone. Staff and the manager (owner?) looked thrice for my phone which I appreciate. Usually people just give up, and I've been in that position where "welp sorry maam it looks like someone took it" but not once did they give up. I'll have to dock this K1 a star, I know there is nothing they can do about having kids drive with the adults but I feel if we had known, we would have waited maybe a tad longer to drive with other adults. But props for the staff not yelling at the kids, encouraging them and giving them direction. Overall, great staff. Decent track. Wait was reasonable. Food is a bit expensive even with 15% with K1 membership, I understand convenience. Bathrooms clean. Would definitely come here again. read more

First if all the race isn't all the laps it says is gonna be. Is way to over priced. To top it off, the employees aren't paying attention to the race. All the do is talk to each other and cupcake. Honestly do a bit more of drive and go to other K1 or Umigo. I saw 2 small accidents that could of been avoided if they would of slowed down the cars time. Can't forget the snacks. It's very disappointing to say as I was very excited to come here for the first time. I came here with my boyfriend this past weekend for his birthday. We were racing and there was a lot of safety hazards happening. At one point in the race there was this couple who were playing "bumper" cars and had constantly crashed into my kart at full speed. My body hurts and at one point I couldn't control the wheel because of it. The employees did not tell them to stop which felt like it only caused them to do it more. They began to antagonize me not letting me park the kart and constantly moving the kart backwards to hit my kart. The workers weren't paying attention to anyone parking the karts and were no where to be found but in the front. There was also a previous incident that day right before our race that we saw where two kids had to get ice and get off the track from being hurt from crashing. the employees in charge of my races did not check if I was okay or if they even saw anything that was happening at all. In front of your workers, We exchanged some words with the couple there as I did not appreciate how they treated me and your employees did not stop or say anything. My safety in this premises was compromised and I am paying a lot of money to have a good time in the safe environment you guys are advertising. During this time I had a terrible anxiety attack and my body was hurting that we couldn't even finish what we paid for. we left right after the second race but we paid for 3 races and had a free birthday race. My boyfriend already emailed K1 speed Dublin about this and hopefully they can help resolve this. read more
