I am very upset with their communication skills. I wouldn't even give them a 1 star rating. They told us the wait was 2 hours and a half so we went to get some food and after 20 minutes they told us that they were ready for us. We went in a hurry excited to ride and we went in. We signed up and then told us the wait for an hour long to ride. That didn't make any sense and there were hidden fees that he told us about after almost buying the tickets. They strung us along and showed little to no respect to us customers. We ended up leaving and will never plan on going back! Save your money and don't bother going. read more

Half speed. Whole second race. Someone crashed amd went out of the race and they screwed us on our speed the rest of the time. Waste of money. Waste of 3 hours. The management was a joke and they didnt even try and accommodate for our lost time. Waste of money and time. Would have been awesome if they didnt shut us down 3 or 4 times a lap. read more

K1 Go Kart Racing in Hillsboro Oregon. This place is the biggest common core math ripoff in the State. I paid a $100 bill for what I was initially told 5 races or "laps". After my wife ran her 5 laps I thought that was it. Then I started noticing different pricing packages. So I started asking questions. The young female employee I questioned stated she had to get her manager. He approached all large and in charge. Obviously with zero intent of being a professional regarding the matter. I stated my wife ran 5 laps. How many laps remain for the $100 bill I gave the facility (mind you zero receipt given nor offered). He stated well I watched her run 24 laps so that means she has 3 races left. To which I promptly corrected him stating I stood their and watched her run 5 laps. How exactly do you propose to reach 24 laps out of 5? He stated I sat their and watched to which I stated no you did not you just came out of your office. If you want a corporate trained yes boy flunky as dishonest as they get? Here's where you go. Next the Attorney General because this is a scam of epic proportions. Great group event. Adrenaline rush. The competition makes it intense. Food options if you want them. Better than the gas powered karts.

I was really excited to race go carts here because I had not been go carting since I was a kid. The check in process was very smooth and after we waited Theio helped us get prepared for what we were going to see and do on the track. After we were loaded up and ready to go and we had signed our lives away we began pulling forward. THIS IS THE MOMENT WE MET BRANDON. After we pulled up to the line to enter in the track he started yelling at us for no reason and none of us could hear what he was saying because the go karts were very loud. He was noticeably angry as we all began to enter the race track. After we all started racing I forgot all about his aggressive behavior. THEN he stops the race early runs on to the track and issues us all to the pits for no reason and when we asked what we did he just said you were not following the rules and this made no sense because everyone was when we talked about it after. BRANDON was just a very angry individual there. We went up to the front desk and they refunded us a race after we explained what had happened. Overall a very weird experience but we still were able to have some fun. read more

Stopped in after playing at Top Golf to check it out. There was a sign stating that there was a private event going on. We went in just to check it out and ask a few questions. The kid behind the counter was extremely rude. I explained that we weren't trying to crash the party. We just wanted some information about track time and such. We finally got the information but it was a terrible process. Not sure that we will go back. What has happened to customer service? read more

Call ahead before you go. I drove up from Salem just to try the track and when I got here there was a 3 hour wait, That's unheard of. I came up with my family so waiting for 3 hours was not in the cards, i won't be back until I hear they've sped up the process and get get people on the track in a timely manner. I've raced all over the country and never have I seen a 3 hour wait. read more

Terrible place! Extremely inefficient waited 5 hrs to go for one race and then was told we had 70 minutes before the next race. Not an easy thing to do with 8 kids. They refunded our second race because we couldn't wait any longer! Will not be going back. read more

I was ecstatic when I heard this place was opening up when I first started going to go kart racing spots. A couple years later I finally decided to check it out thinking it would be so much fun with instant electrical power and torque and what not. Wow was I mistaken of this place. Holy smokes is it a complete disaster and boring place to race. The karts instantly get to top speed which is a staggering snails pace compared to the petrol versions I've raced on ( wishing that weren't true ). Not only were they slow when I expected way more, the race constantly was stopped due to others mediocre driving skills. I'm thinking ok. Fine, cool safety is very important. I'd assume with having 6 stops or so time would be added but nope. Got a few laps in and end of race. Like seriously? I'm paying how much big bucks for something like that to happen? No... not acceptable. Since I had the 3 race package I continued with my races. Since the bone heads weren't racing I hoped it would go smoother which it did, but dang was it still boring and slow. Overall I was hoping for something more exhilarating but it was as fast and "fun" as Bullwinkles Go karts. Just felt like I was ripped off. I'm honestly not sure if I ever will return. I want to honestly but just don't want to be disappointed again. read more

Went for a fourteen birthday ...they loved it. Adults included! It's nice that you don't have to use all your laps that day. Make sure you ask for the free birthday race. That must be used the same day. read more

Went on a Thursday night and had a blast. Had no troubles checking in (although I was with someone who knew the system) and wait time was short. Would go again but by reading other reviews, will definitely not go on the weekend. read more

I held my son's Birthday party at K1. We had fun. The Jr. drivers had fun. The Kars could have been a bit faster for the. The adult Kars are pretty fast. Lots of room in the venue and the rental room is really nice. I do believe that the place is understaffed and a few employees, seemed to not really want to be there. The GM there did very good getting us what we needed. This will be a place I visit again. read more

The actual racing is fun, but it's hard to mess up that part of go karting. We walked in as a group of 5, right at noon when they open. We greeted the guy doing the safety walkthrough and track guide by asking how his day was. He had an attitude and said how it's "been a day" which is confusing because if you open at noon how can you already be in a bad mood? So immediately my group and I were feeling uncomfortable as this guy in a bad mood does a very very halfassed job of explaining the rules of the track. At one point he even says "I don't usually do this part but I'm being overworked" who cares? We are here for a fun activity and this guys attitude was like he was personally invested in trying to make racing unfun. He made no effort to tell us where to enter our karts from and yelled at us that we did it wrong. Ok buddy, how's about telling us how you want it done then? Unfortunately this guy was also in charge of the race and was constantly putting out signs like no drifting and no spin outs etc. I can understand that if you give your guests a chance to test the track and karts but they literally throw you out there and then crank up the karts to full speed with no warning. You don't even get to line up and start as a group, which, is like, the whole point of racing your friends. Oh also they just lump in random people with you seemingly as they please, which means you don't get to race just as the group you arrived with. Pretty lame. Honestly if your going to charge this much money for 3 races at least offer your customers a fun and personalized experience. Oh and fire the bald dude who works at your Hillsboro location. That guy should be banned from customer service positions for the rest of his life. I can't imagine a faster way to clear out a party than if you just stuck him in the room and let him suck all the fun out of it. It's only 2 stars and not one because I like to drive fast, and the karts are decently fast even if the track has no straightaways longer than maybe 20 feet. read more

Their facility was impressive. The attention to detail was well thought out.the electric cars were a huge improvement over the cold, loud, and smelly local counterpart. Our whole family enjoyed the experience. Great value! read more

We took both our kids there today to race, thought it looked like a lot of fun. It turned out to be a big disappointment! We spent $150 for five races each, was told the wait would be nearly two hours with a fifteen minute wait in-between. (The night before it was actually four hours) There is no TV screen listing when or what race you'll be in, you're supposed to just hear your name over the loud music. I was constantly checking in and probably annoying the employee. Finally they race... I don't think they got one full lap without having to slow or stop due to people crashing. How are you supposed to get a decent lap time like that? Then we wait for the next race. We don't hear our names at all (I truly believe that they never called them). After forty minutes I check in only to find out we missed our race and worse yet the next one they can get us in is another 90 minutes away. I told the manager this is ridiculous that you don't have a computer screen with up and coming races with names on it. His comment was "we tried that and it doesn't work, come back Monday through Thursday it's a lot better." I have a hard time believing that it's worse than having to hear your name over loud music for one tenth of a second in the span of multiple hours. This place is poorly managed, they didn't make it right with us and we wasted hours of our Sunday afternoon. Unless something changes I don't see it staying open for too long. I know I won't be spending any more money there. Very disappointed!!! read more

We went here yesterday for the first time, for my son's birthday. Granted, I should have read into it more before going there. Then I wouldn't have been as shocked by the prices. We had 7 kids and were required to buy a year long membership for each one. After spending $400, they were each allowed 2 rides. We thought it would only be our group riding, but there were also a few people from another group. They were much faster, making it difficult and uncomfortable for our group. More importantly, my son, the birthday boy, got seriously reprimanded for something he did not do. I was watching the entire time and saw what happened. The employee told my son to watch it or he would have to pay the $30,000 cost of the car. My son had been hit and pulled over to the side and they accused him of bumping. Needless to say, he chose not do his second round. I realize safety is of the utmost importance, but the employees need a better system of making calls and judgments, and should never threaten the kids especially when they have no idea what really happened. We now have a year membership that will likely not be used again. read more

first time here ... very helpful! came at opening on Friday wait time not bad ... 17 and 13 year old had a blast ... 2 different races kids or adults, depending on height ... packages for multiple races .. if you don't use all you can save them .. never expire. definitely will be back! read more
