I submitted multiple inquiries online hoping to get answers about planning a group event, and guess what? I never heard a single word back. After waiting days for a reply, I decided to call. HUGE mistake! I was on hold for 40 minutes, waiting for someone - anyone - to answer, and finally had to hang up. How can you run a business like this? Awesome location! Great staff- super friendly and professional. Prefer the tracks here of all the recent go-kart venues we've been to. Membership is annual and about $8. They have two different tracks. Opted the first race on the smaller track with the more curved and turns. The last two races we chose their second track which the kids ended up preferring in the end. They said the Traci was longer and felt more like a race with their friends. Staff worked quickly if anyone got stuck and always kept safety in mind. Location also has an entertaining arcade area and a restaurant/dining space along with a party room if it's for a larger group having a party. Another arcade option was a Mario Kart interactive arcade which looked cool too. The food in the dining/restaurant area was ideal to tie the kids over until dinner, those who wanted to snack chose fries, quesadillas, pretzel bites, I think, and a few more easy appetizers to snack on. Phenomenal Experience This Time Around We always have a great time at K1 Speed and have hosted several party events here over the years. The team is consistently solid, but this last experience really stood out. Rin, the party reservation manager, continues to be fantastic--responsive over phone and email, organized, and always making the booking process smooth and hassle-free. She's a big reason we keep coming back. But the real star this time was Brianna. It was our first time being greeted and managed by her on the day of the event--and wow. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine care made this our best experience yet. She went above and beyond to make sure everything ran perfectly. I rarely review non-food establishments but wanted to shout out on the customer service received as a first timer. I purchased 2 of the 2 race of $49.95. Membership fee is required however I could only purchase that in-person. 1 free birthday race is included. The worker was really patient with registration, explaining the differences between the tracks and timing the rides out for us so we could make it to our dinner rez. The track with the most straightaways is where most of the serious racers are at and you could request to race with beginner drivers. Time records will be emailed to you after. read more

This is a comprehensive review. The front desk staff was extremely nice and accomodating as it was my friend and I's first time visiting but my only issue was with the staff working at the actual track. Not the guy standing at the interior register but he was holding the flag during the races we attended and was responsible for explaining the gear and sizes. I'm not sure if they have an issue with women attending the track for fun, but for whatever reason the staff working there on 6/21 at 4pm Friday besides the shorter guy who helped me put on my helmet was extremely rude probably because he doesn't get laid or make any money which is why he's working at K1 hoping his negging tactics will work on regular 3-D women making comments about appearances because women never willingly speak to him in real life to begin with. We tried to get pictures wearing it for approximately 1 minute whereas they let the men take their sweet time with returning helmets, putting it on, getting into karts and rushed us before and after the races, didn't want to give a demo and complained that he had to do his job. Even when I was about to leave he was quick to grab the item off me while being pleasant only towards the men. If you're into men that's perfectly fine but you don't have to be rude nor make comments on people's appearances while having a face card that probably already punishes him in real life. I'm not asking him to be pleasant and chipper, his commentary was completely uncalled for. He should just to perform his job but my guess is he probably other problems e.g. being pussyless, auraless and coinless. You can't both be pussyless and unpleasant but I guess he chose three struggles in life. I don't want to name names but it was only the guy holding the flag and responsible for the demo, and a slight interruption for the guy at the monitor screen right by the track, but just keep that in mind next time you have 1st timers or women visiting, and women maybe keep that in mind while visiting this location when it comes to the staff besides the shorter but cordial fellow helping me put on the helmet, you may come across this dusty. Other than that, the facility, the races, and track itself was pleasant and spacious. 5/5 service at the front desk 1/5 service at the track excluding the short guy who was actually helpful and professional 4/5 overall quality of track and interiors and accessibility to racing things Won't be back to this location but I do respect and enjoy K-1 Tracks themselves overall. If I could give zero stars, I would. My boyfriend was spun out three times by reckless drivers, and the last time, another kart was literally partially on top of his. A staff member initially checked on him, and when he said he felt dizzy and wanted to stop, Johnny came over and was incredibly rude and aggressive instead of being concerned for his safety. Instead of addressing the reckless drivers, he blamed my boyfriend and even said he should've put him on the kids' track, when he was the one being hit repeatedly! Meanwhile, I was also being rammed into on the straightaway, and there was zero enforcement of track safety. There were no clear instructions before getting on the track, no real help when incidents happened, and the overall customer service was awful. This place is a complete joke when it comes to safety and professionalism. I've been to multiple K1 Speed locations in Texas and have never experienced the complete lack of help and safety concern that this location has. We held a team event here and it was a big success! Everyone really enjoyed themselves and the manager was super helpful in planning. My cons however are that the floor employees NEED some kind of body or headset microphone when explaining rules + the award ceremony. It was extremely loud in there and all the employees who spoke to us as a group were not loud enough, you could barely hear what they were saying. For safety instructions, it's vital that everyone can see and hear the necessary info- especially when it's an activity that has some risk to it. There was 4-5 people in our group that were in front of the example car and the employee said "You guys can't see the button but there's a button here that does x, y, z." Which was really unhelpful. If mics aren't an option, maybe breaking into smaller groups to go through safety instructions a few times. Similar situation with the award ceremony, it would've been nice to be able to announce the winners with a microphone instead of having to strain to hear where everyone placed. read more

Make a reservation, sign a waiver and race! Easy enough. We stopped by to make sure that the little that wanted to race met the criteria. To our happy surprise, there was 2 race tracks. We settled in to wait for the race to start and ordered some food. The kitchen did forget about us until we reminded them about our order 45 minutes later. Horrible customer service. I had my teenage daughter's birthday party there last weekend and we encountered several bad customer service experiences as follows: 1. The sales person in charge of us is named Lupe, and she was never available to speak to. We could only communicate with her by email. When we tried to call the number in Irvine with clarification questions, we could only speak to a main number. But that took 60 minutes to wait on hold to get a live person. 2 on the day of the party, we were told to arrive a half hour early, which we did, but they did not help us get into our party space for 20 minutes. We had to quickly set up our table cloths, center pieces, party favors, salads, etc. 3. Speaking of the party space, we were told we would have a room, but when we got there, we were put in the bar area. We had to share the space with another party of little boys. Those kids ran amuck in our party space and it was awkward having to differentiate our chairs versus their chairs. After the party we asked Lupe (via email of course), what happened as to why we didn't get a private room. She said she told us this, but she is a liar. She never told us we would be in the bar, otherwise we would not have been so shocked at it. 4. It's a very expensive place to have a party. For the money they charge, we should have been treated much better. They act like we should be honored to grace their presence by being there. We are extremely social people in Orange County (and in LA), and we will spread this experience to everyone we know to warn them against having an event there. Good riddance. I recently visited K1 Speed with a group of four girls, and our experience was very disappointing. As it was our first time, I made sure to inform Leslie and purchased two races for all four girls. Leslie only noticed three girls and questioned where the fourth was. I mentioned the fourth was being attended by another cashier. She called the fourth girl over saying she could help her since she's with us. Unfortunately, when they called the racers, I noticed they only called three of the four girls. I approached the front desk to ask why they weren't called as a group. Leslie failed to explain they couldn't race together. I decided to request a refund for one of the two races since the others still wanted to race. Leslie made me wait roughly 15 minutes for a refund, during which I missed a big chuck of the race. Lastly, she only refunded one race for three girls instead of four. The four girls enjoyed go kart racing but were bummed out they couldn't race together The entire experience was a communication nightmare, and we left feeling frustrated and disappointed. Don't get me wrong, kart racing is fun but it isn't that simple at k1. I came here to celebrate a friends birthday. We have several locations closer to us but we chose the one in Irvine because they offer Mario kart VR. When we arrived it was out of order. Bummer but we still had the kart option. We checked in and were informed that there was a 2 hour wait time. I mean how bad could two hours be? Wrong :/ it was more like 3 hours. k1 has yet to adopt the technology to report live wait times, so you are forced to hang around until you hear your name called. We are in 2022, my local sushi place can provide me with live updates via link. But it's my friends birthday, we don't wanna make a big deal out of it and bum him out. We get a beer and start playing the arcade games available. That only killed 1 of the two hours!! 3 hours later, our names are finally called so we hurry down to track 1 and begin the race. 3 laps in I get crashed into. The other cart T-bones me and mounts on top of me crushing my thumb and ramming my shoulder. The staff handled it pretty well, they all rushed to me as I was in pain and lifted the kart off of me. They gave me gauze for the wound and filled out an incident report. They asked me if I wanted to call an ambulance, I declined. The only thing I didn't like was that they kept assuming nothing was broken simply because I could rotate my wrist. I've seen plenty of people skateboard and break their arm and still be able to rotate their wrist. I still appreciate the fast response and attention the team provided. I waited 3 hours dammit I'm gonna race. I went 2 more times with an injured arm. I managed. Boy does it get old fast, I was over it after the first race so don't waste your money on 3 races unless you have a passion for it. (If you are wondering... they refunded me for the 1 race I missed). If you take anything out of this review---------- -expect long wait times of more than 1 hour on weekends and 1 hour on top of what's estimated. -you have to wait on site for your names to be called because they lack the technology to keep you informed -it could get old fast -it's dangerous but the staff is there to help -they have an arcade and Mario kart VR read more

She was a phenomenal help during the party and made sure everything ran smoothly. YOU WILL BE HURT AND IGNORED. I brought my daughter here with her boyfriend for a nice time. It was her first time and she was put in a race with 6 other men. During this race, she was SLAMMED RIGHT and LEFT by these men which led to a LARGE CRASH. Then some other men were running into her AGAIN AND AGAIN REPEATEDLY. I'm not sure if this was targeted, but the referee didn't stop the race. After the first race, she was CRYING and SHAKING. The men turned out to be in the military and she went to them as they LAUGHED and showed NO REMORSE for how scared she was. They received a refund. They came back later to talk to the "manager" and was told that the men were pulled aside by staff to talk and they were "apologetic" and tried to find her to apologize to. How ironic that when she did approach the men at first, they laughed. Apparently, there is no way to flag or ban them unless they were pulled out and seemingly had "malicious intent" which is outrageous given that it clearly was. All the "manager" did was offer her a free race. We don't want a race, we want these men and staff held ACCOUNTABLE. Now she has bruises on her back and is terrified. HOW COURAGEOUS OF THESE MEN TO PROTECT THE COUNTRY, BUT TARGET A YOUNG GIRL. I hope your company learns how to hold their guests and staff accountable. Outrageous. read more
