My son and I are professional karters and I have 100 lbs on my son, In the gas indoor karts he whoops my but every time but the high torque of K1 electric karts are an equalizer. a 300 lbs person can go just as fast as a 100 lbs person if you have the save skill set. And just because these are electric karts doesn't mean they are not fast, because they are. Do not have a kids birthday party here. The wait in between races and lack of activity without trained staff experienced in conducting a kids' party leaves a lot to be desired. For the amount of drive time you get the cost is not worth it. Too much down time without true alternative activities. Games were broken so that didn't help. Went here for a friends birthday and it was an ok experience. The ladies at the front desk are very nice and extremely helpful. The workers on the track were nice expect for one guy (must be the manager he's an older gentleman with a cop haircut), my boyfriends go kart completely stopped working and was really slow the manager came over and was yelling at another worker for not checking the kart and was upset about having to switch my boyfriend kart which we thought was strange because we paid good money to have a fair race. For the inconvenience one of the workers had to "check with the manager" if my boyfriend and my friend could have another race because of the karts having so much trouble. They let them but the karts needs some upgrading! Overall an ok experience. read more

Garbage service. Came in with my daughters hockey team and they messed up putting them together and then said it was too hard to fix it so they could race together. Took almost an hour for the 10 of us to even pay. Won't be back. read more

I'm gonna keep this short and sweet. $20 for a race of 14 laps. Bring a coupon for buy 1, get one free and it's actually a good deal! Staff was friendly, calm and extremely helpful carts were very nice and very fast. Helmets will be provided. You do need a K1 license which is $6.00 which will last you for an entire year. Definitely recommend it, especially when you bring your friends because that will make it a blast. After the race, you get to see a score board of your lap times and you can use it to improve your score for next time. I'm a fan, I will definitely come back next time! read more

Really fun but a bit expensive, I would suggest to someone who wanted to go to find a Groupon deal, after that discount it makes it worth it to go. Waste of time it's like the employees hate seeing costumers it's smells like sweaty balls

I would not recommend this place for anyone with junior racers. It's poorly managed. They run 6 adult races (1 hour) before they run a junior race. They don't man their snack bar. And they offer $5 coupons that aren't valid for ANYTHING except the one item nobody buys (a single race). I've been here multiple times and it's always the same. If you want your junior racers to have a good time, find another place. read more

Don't waste your money paid 60 dollars only to race with 8 to 10 year olds. If you want to go 15 miles an hour behind kids and eat stale food this is the place you want to be. Then you have to wait for the staff at shift change and they get to have the track to themselves. Again don't waste your money if your over 15 years old. Customer service or kindness is not available from my first impression. Just drive an hr to get there and when we walked in were told they are closed for a private party. I said o okay we have never been here so we are glad to see the inside of the facility. The young rude girl at the counter said; "we cannot allow you to see in here". How rude.... Place is ass. Don't go. You'll stop every lap in order for the workers to fix karts that break down on the track. Isn't worth the time or money you spend. The karts break down too often and are a waist of time. Karts are extremely unsafe and the breaks rarely work. Karts will shake nonstop. read more

Went to K! with a group of 11 year olds. Customer service was excellent, in particular the floor manager. Kids really enjoyed it. Electric Go Karts at K1 are far better than gas/diesel. Can be turned off and slowed down remotely, too. Great for safety. We went during a slow time so there was no problem getting on the track. read more

My kids had a blast, however they weren't very clear on how to operate the go-carts and my daughter ended up getting stuck. Took my girls there today,first time last time..they were so excited to go and when they got done,one was teary eyed and said dad never want to come back here again,,worst experience I have ever encountered from start to finish, cashier unfriendly,showed no excitement what so ever, they put my girls into cars with grown adults, the officials were told a few times that this was there first time, once again showed no expression, the adults banged into my girls so many times,it was unreal..i will never go back or recommend this place to anyone, for the price you pay for 7 minutes it should be fun...not hearing I never want to come back... read more

Drove 45 minutes from Gilbert to be told we could only do one junior race, we arrived at 5. Despite online stating it closes at 10 pm and no restrictions or time limits listed for Sunday's. They are in desperate need of new karts. We cannot set consistent lap times because they karts are out of date. What is really bad is that those who go there often know that they are bad. There is no way we can be competitive in the challenge gp held every month because the karts vary in speed and durability. read more

My friends and I are pretty avid K1 racers and we know when a place like this is a good place to go or not. This is by far the worst K1 I have ever been to and probably will ever go to. The wait was extremely long and we were told it would only be an hour. When we finally got to race we sat down in our karts and we immediately had to switch to different ones for some unknown reason. My friends and I all know a quality kart when we drive one and all of us had major issues with them. Mine personally had no brakes what so ever. My friend even resorted to asking for a new kart because his was so bad. The employees weren't helpful at all when we had questions and it was over all a terrible experience. We were just in Arizona visiting for a Cardinals game, but if we ever come back here you can be damn sure we won't come back to this K1! read more

I had a birthday party for my son, they all had a blast! Kelly and the team at K1 did a fantastic job for us.

I took my teenage son and a few of his friends to race. All of the boys have raced many times at various tracks and we have never had a problem at any other facility. The first sign of trouble was how disorganized and poorly run the check-in was. The front desk was chaos, it wasn't clear who was helping who, if/where the line was, and it took a long time just to pay. Then get ready to wait and wait some more. During our 2nd race a gentlemen rammed his kart into one of the boys who ended up bumping my son into the wall. My son ended up being stuck under the barrier in the tunnel. I did not realize that it was my son until I went past him a second time & no one had come to help. Since it was the final lap and he was upset and maybe hurt I stopped to help free him. After a few minutes trying to get my son out from being physically pinned under the barrier & getting the kart out an employee walked by the entrance of the tunnel but did not come to help. (Since he was stuck in the tunnel no one was able to see that he was stuck or injured.) A second employee walked by a bit later and also continued walking even after I yelled for his assistance. After the freeing his cart enough for it to move, exhausted and now very upset at the negligence by the staff, not to mention being worried about how injured he might be from being under the barrier, I got back in my kart to drive back to the pits with my son. Now the employees decided to finally get involved and yelled at us to stop. I yelled why? They again yelled stop, so we stopped. We got out of our karts to walk off the track then yelling really started. The four track employees, who all apparently need to help free another cart, were now following us. As we were walking off the track I asked why they hadn't help my son, they said they were helping someone else. I asked why all 4 of them were needed while I had been ignored? At this point a person who later identified himself as the manager started yelling "what's your name?" I said I was I was a father with a hurt son. He yelled again "what's your name?" presumably to black list me or some such nonsense, not necessary, won't be back, so he got a "F*** YOU is my name." We got to the track exit, handed my son's helmet to the someone there and walked to the lobby to leave. I saw the "manager" literally run from the track through to the side door of the lobby to cut me off and get in my face like he wanted to actually fight me since I had said F-you. I asked for a manager, he said he was the manager, so given the negligent and unprofessional conduct thus far it was clearly pointless so we continued to the exit. Since the other karts had all pitted during this fiasco, the other boys we brought with us were still in their karts, so we stopped at the exit. While we waited for them the "manager" continued to exhibit stellar behavior by remaining in my face and saying that my son "should have used his brakes" implying that he saw the incident and did nothing while he was pinned under a barrier for two laps, and also that he "should have been in a junior car" when he is clearly tall enough. The other boys joined us and we walked out the door. But that wasn't good enough for the "manager" and his 2 "bouncers" who continued to follow us into the parking lot and hurl taunts and now swearing at us too. The unprofessional employees at an ELECTRIC KART racing facility thought a good parting insult was to mock the fact that I drive a Prius. Seriously? Basically we paid for 3 races, waited hours, only raced in 1 1/2 races, had no assistance when my son was physically pinned & injured under the barrier in the tunnel, the gentlemen who caused the accident was not penalized and we were verbally assaulted & mocked by the staff. We won't be back & will dispute the credit card charge. Save yourself the headache & go to Octane raceway. read more

The biggest bonus to this place is that the electric karts don't stink and give off fumes like the gas-powered karts up the road at Octane Raceway. And the pricing is fair, and it's probably a better place for first-timers. On the downside, the karts are much lower quality and the controls aren't adjustable for people of varying sizes. It's kind of cool that the operators can cut the power to all the karts by remote control in the event of an on-track incident, but the opposite side of that coin is races last a certain amount of minutes, not laps, and if they do it a lot, you really get shorted on seat time. Fun place for a party full of kids though. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. My kart was governed up until the last 2 laps of the first race. I brought it up to management as Id like to get my actual money worth when at buissnesses like this. They assured me that I would not be governed the second race and if we were unhappy we could get a refund for the last 2 races. On race 2 all of the male staff that was on radio were holding back laughter every time they looked at my partys direction. Durring the 2nd race It was slightly better and until midway through the race when they governed the kart again but sporadically throughout the Race. One of the friends in my party was governed again the entire second race. After the race he said something to the manager to which the manager rudly butted in and started yelling at our group and telling us to get out of the building. No refund happened. The female staff was kind, however every other employee tonight was extremely unprofessional. We come to places like these to have good clean competition and have a good time with friends no lt to be a product of entertainment from immature employees. They did not give us money and told us to leave before we were done with even the amount of races we paid for. I would take my money somewhere else. read more

There are signs posted around that say not to bump into anyone or you will be removed, and this is not true. The first race I went on, i barely had gone 30 feet before being smashed into. It was a shock at first, but then I realized that was just going to be how it was, and just went with it. Besides all the ramming, the helmets are jn good condition and the carts do go pretty fast. read more

Okay so the racetrack is difficult to pass people on so it makes it difficult when some people are going slower but overall the facility is nice. The main complaint I have is that the blonde girl at the front desk was SO rude and clearly did not care about the patrons. Karts have very little protection and padding. They did not provide a secure feeling when driving, my body felt like it was sliding out of the chair while cornering. The track was fun to drive, and many professional racing parts were on display. I would not visit again unless the Kart's safety was improved or overhauled, driver comfort is EVERYTHING! read more
