I was unfamiliar with this sight until I recently stumbled on it. I was shocked at the grooming reviews. I have taken my two dogs and my mothers dog here since they have opened and found the grooming to be impeccable. My mother was a groomer for 27 yrs until arthritis left her unable to groom anymore. She has been very pleased with the groomers and their service, as well. I can assure anyone that the groomers here are top notch and knowledgeable. My guy does great with my yorkies and always makes them beautiful and smelling sweet. Sure K9 loft is not flawless, but I think that some of these reviews might have been written by the owner of Wagville (which is a run down dump). Right after they opened she spoke to me about their boarding and almost word for word quoted Holly. I just find that strange and that Holly wrote a review for both Wagville and K9 Loft on the same date stating that she boarded with them both. Does Holly know where her dog was on 12/20??? I know I might be apprehensive about leaving my dog unattended overnight also. However, they are very up front and if you left your dog that is your decision, so live with it. I do wish they had a bigger small dog area though. K9 Loft has the best retail, groomers, and staff in the area. They don't have the turn over like Wagville at all. That just tells me they treat their staff right so that is passed to me the customer. As I stated before both of the groomers I know have been there since it opened and are great. They always have the best bows and bandanas too. Their groomer even helped me get the show top knot bows I needed for show. Like I said before my mother groomed for 27yr so we know what a good groomer is and these guys are good. I can also assure Sandy no groomer would have told her they would do 2" "teddy bear cut." A teddy bear cut is a traditionally short cut no more the of an inch with a round face. I honestly don't know if you people are con- artist or just petty, but you got your refunds so I guess you won. I have been coming to K9 Loft almost a year now so I think they deserve my review. I have never used them for daycare but I have been taking my poodle there for grooming regularly. I can honestly say that I would not trust anyone but these guys to cut my dog's hair. When I first moved here from Florida I visited several places and always walked away disappointed. K9 Loft is the first place that really got it right. Their groomers are very patient and understanding (and most importantly they speak perfect English so there is never a language problem). They actually take the time to speak with me at length about how I want my poodle groomed. Most other places just sort of rushed me through and I just knew they were not listening. Most importantly if the groomers encounter a problem they actually take the time to call me and let me know about it before trying to fix it. One time my poodle was severely matted on one particular area. The groomer actually called me and told me about it instead of just going in and shaving it off. I really appreciated that very much. I read a review below by another Yelper and couldnt help but laugh. She said her dog's groom was so bad that she "cried for 30 minutes" Are you kidding me? You cried for 30 minutes? Because you were unhappy with your dog's haircut? I think there are more worthy things to cry about in life instead of your dog's haircut. I highly recommend you seek therapy. If you are looking for a new groomer definitely try K9 Loft. The groomers are great and the facility is great. In fact, the major selling point for me was the glass viewing area of the grooming room. Most other groomers I had been to always did their grooming out of sight (which always bothered me). At K9 Loft you could stand there the whole time and watch while your dog gets groomed. Of the 3 groomers there I most prefer Dave (ask for him by name...you wont be disappointed). read more

I have always been reluctant to leave my pomeranian Simone at a boarding facility. Usually, either friends or family would take care of her when I had to leave town. But recently I found myself in a bind and had no choice but to leave her at a facility. I was not looking forward to leaving her with people I didn't know but I had no choice. I had my trip planned and no one to watch my baby. So I went to K9 Loft to scope the place out first and right away got a great vibe from the place. Sarah, the store manager gave me a complete tour of the place. They let me see every inch of the place. Nothing was hidden. The staff seemed very knowledgeable and I like the fact the a lot of them used to work at VCA Arden hospital. The wife of one of the owners of K9 Loft is a vet so she helped recruit a bunch of the staff. Most important to me was the webcams in the play area. If they let their clients look in on them at anytime I know they have nothing to hide. I also like all the windows that look into the play area. Anyone could just look in and see whats going on. Overall, I felt very comfortable leaving Simone there. When I came back 5 days later to pick her up she seemed in great spirits. I could just tell she enjoyed it there. And much to my surprise she didn't stink. I thought for sure after 5 days she would need a bath. But she smelled great. For a dog daycare facility I am surprised that the place doesnt stink! So long story short.....I was really impressed by K9 Loft and would recommend it to anyone who needs a place to board their dog. The staff was so kind to me that I thought they deserved this review. So I have been coming to K9 Loft for a few months now and here it goes... First grooming: I think their grooming is top notch. I have been to a lot of grooming shops in the area and so far nothing comes close. I love the window that allows you to look in while the groomers do their work. Made me feel a lot more comfortable that it was so visible. Also, like the groomers (I recommend Robert). He always comes out and really takes the time to ask me how I want the cut done. And they really go above and beyond. After a hike in Griffith last week I took Lola for a bath and brush. They noticed a tick on her belly, took it out, and even put it in a plastic bag to show it to me! Second daycare: I work from home so I dont really need to use daycare that much but once in a while I like to take Lola so she could socialize. I love the fact that I could watch her on the webcam and she always comes home smelling clean. I read some of the bad reviews here so I decided to go and see the place for myself. I was relieved that they took me through the entire daycare. No place was off limits in my tour which really made me feel at ease Overall, I have been very impressed with K9 loft. I have taken Lola to a few other daycare places over the past few years but I always had a little uneasy feeling. I wouldnt leave my Lola just anywhere. You cant really trust most places these days. I've taken my dog Pancho to K9 Loft for daycare two times. Once without looking in, and the second time (the last time) I peeked in from the outside window to see how it was going before I picked him up. The large dogs are in a large concrete room together, aggressive dogs, old dogs it doesn't matter. And the person monitoring them stands in the middle reading occasionally tossing a ball, but mostly just tries to get them to stop barking. The small dog area is much smaller and no small dog should be confined to such a space. No one really is attending them and they mostly just sit all day starring at the large dogs having a ball thrown for them. My dog left with more energy than he arrived, which is atypical for a dog care facility. But I thought, hey - maybe the daycare isn't' the right thing for my dog. So I took him to their groomer. I gave specific instructions for the groomer to cut 1 inch off my dog. He cut 1 inch off one side 1 1/2 inch off the other my friend likes to joke. Yep he got a lopsided $50 haircut. I was going to keep all of this to myself considering it happened over the summer, but I posted a review that was actually very constructive feedback earlier this week and it was removed by they "Yelp" community (K9 Loft aka Yelp Sponsor) for not being consumer based. I have taken my pitbull mix Starbelly to K9 loft for over a year now, i started taking her shortly after I adopted her. This place is so amazing. The staff is so wonderful and friendly and helpful and feel like family. They also treat all the dogs there like family. It is such a welcoming lovely atmosphere. I feel totally comfortable leaving my pup there and I know she loves it too- she lovesss the staff and gets so excited whenever we walk in and if were just stopping by to get food, she wont want to leave. My dog's tempermant with other dogs has gotten kinda weird as shes growing into an adult dog and they totally know all of her quirks and know how to handle her (in situations with other dogs, shes always good withthe staff). They are so understand and i really cant say enough about this place..i dotn know how they keep it so clean, and 35 dollars from 7am to 9am of playtime and naptime is a really good price. Alex , is a manager i think?, is so great and all of the staff have NEVER acted preoccupied and always will talk to me if i have a question or a concern. rebecca is great too, everyone is great i just dont know all their names or i would mention them :) read more

This review should have been written a long time ago and I never did it...until I read the other negative reviews. I dropped my two children off (doggies) for a few nights stay. We had used k9 Loft before and I was very happy when I picked them up from boarding the other time so I trusted them with my babies again. BAD DECISION! When I landed in LAX I called my son to make sure the dogs had been delivered to my house as scheduled, he said NO. I was so upset, they should have been delivered 5 hours prior. When I called they said "Oh...no...he must have forgot them. I'll have him turn around right now." I'm sorry but how can you just forget someone's animals??? When they finally were delivered they did not bring ANY OF THEIR THINGS BACK. I'm talking two dog beds, a bag of food, treats, toys, MEDICATION. We had left specific instructions for their medical care and when I got them back I noticed they had not given any medication nor kept an eye on the sores as I had instructed them too (and they had reassured me they would be well cared for). Just a very sad experience overall. It made me think of how my dogs were treated when I wasn't there. :( read more

Negative stars if I could!!! This is directed to the owner and one employee!!!! You have SOME NERVE saying my sister is anything but honest when it comes to the dogs that she adopts and boards there and may I state with ZERO discount for rescued dogs. You have absolutely NO CLUE as to whom my sister is. She does EVERYTHING FOR THE ANIMALS!!!!!! She does it out of her heart and with her own money!!!!! She has been for 30 years and Im sure in the past year she has saved more animals lives than you have in your lifetime!!!!! You are a disgusting human and you know WHY SHE SAVES THEM FROM LA, because the shelters ARE flooded with animals and SHE CAN!!!!! We have more people who can speak for her character than you could ever dream of speaking for yours. A PERSON DOES A GOOD THING AND GETS ACCUSED of selling them??? YOU HAVE NO IDEA who she is and what she does!!!! Probably because her reason for doing it IS FROM HER HEART NOT FOR HER POCKET as you seem to be charging over $60 a night at your place for one dog. I have been using K9 Loft for daycare and grooming so I thought it was about time I write them a review. In a nutshell this place is great. I used them regularly for daycare for my Lola my 2 year old lab and she loves it there. She practically drags me up the street and heads straight for the door. And at the end of the day when I pick her up she does not smell awful like some of the other places I tried in the past. I also like the fact that there are windows all around the daycare area so you can always see what is going on inside. Im not a crazy dog person but sometimes I find myself spending way too much time on the webcam watching Lola play in daycare. Its so cool that they have that. I have also used them for grooming and have always been pleased. The groomers take the time to come out and talk to you. They also do walk-ins which is great because many places don't. Overall, I couldnt be happier with this place. Friendly staff, super clean facility, and great retail store. I have been to so many doggy daycares and this one totally got it right. read more

Let me begin by saying how picky I am about where I take my dog to. Nothing but the best for my Laslo (German Short Hair Pointer). I have been bringing him here for daycare and boarding for about 6 months now and I begin to say how grateful I am that K9 Loft is in the neighborhood. I tried so many places before and always walked away with a weird vibe. Most places wouldn't let me view the play area of the dogs and they didn't have webcams and Laslo was never enthusiastic about going there when I left town. But driving up to K9 Loft there is no mistaken how much Laslo loves the place. He literally pulls me forward as we approach the door. There is no doubt he is loved there. I love that I can watch him on the webcam at all times so I know they are treating him well. The staff is super friendly and the place is very clean. The only reason Im not giving 5 stars is because the parking situation kind of sucks sometimes. Other than that I love this place. Wouldn't trust any other place for Laslo. read more

I recently took my cocker spaniel Spanky to get groomed and was very pleasantly surprised with the service I got at K9 Loft. When I first walked into the store the staff was very friendly and helpful. The groomer came out and talked to me for a few minutes about how I wanted the haircut. Far cry from my Petco experience when some cranky old lady said yeah yeah and then took Spanky away for his most awful haircut ever. They actually took the time to listen to me. The price was totally reasonable, and included the nails, anal glands (EWWWWW!) and the ear cleaning. When I came back to pick up Spanky the groomer even noticed that he had a tick stuck to his belly. Now thats what I call attention to detail. They even put the tick in a little jar of liquid and showed it to me. OK maybe just a bit too much information for my taste. But I really appreciated the attention to detail. If you have a dog and you live in the area then this place is a no-brainer. I can get everything I need from here without having to go from place to place bargain hunting. I started coming here about 2 years ago when they first opened but I was still shopping around at other places looking for the best price. I was doing this until I found out they do 100% price matching. Basically they will match anyone's price anywhere! So cool. I don't need to drive around anymore. If I find something cheaper somewhere else I let them know and they match the price. Don't let the fancy boutique look fool you. This place is a bargain hunters dream come true. The staff is so friendly and I like the fact that I see the same faces every time I go there. Sarah, the store manager has been there since the place opened and she is so sweet. I called to set up a same day grooming appointment and they went out of their way to accommodate me and my girlfriend's dog. They even called me when it became apparent that they were not able to groom the dog they way we had originally had wanted (her fur was super matted so i'm not that surprised) and discussed other options, which was nice since i've been to other places and they just ended up shaving it all off - not cool. She borders on ugly when she isn't groomed a certain way... They even put little bows in her hair AND a pink bandana. I'm as straight as they come and even I was proud to walk around with a malti-poo that covered in pink and looking that good. I would come back for sure - but just a head's up they get busy on saturdays and it took 5 hours to pick her up, but she did look pretty darn cute. read more

I beg you not to bring your pooch here to get groomed. I brought my sweet pup here a few weeks ago to get a bath and they include a nail clipping. When I picked him up he seemed ok, but my the time I got him home, he was bleeding all over my back seat. They had clipped his nails down way to low and they were bleeding for 2 hours... When I called them back they said they put quick stop on his nails / pads to stop the bleeding but I can put flour, or hard soap on them to stop the bleeding... Grreeatt. Anyway, after another hour of me trying everything, I needed to bring him to the vet, and they needed to bandage up his paws, and keep on the bandages for 2 days... WTF! I am so disappointed in this place, it makes me sick that they can have amateurs grooming our pups and charging professional prices! read more

I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED, COULDNT BELIEVE WHEN I SAW MY DOG...... TERRIBLE HORRIBLE GROOMING, everything i asked before to the "groomer" (no way he is.... he have no ideia how to gromer a westie terrie) HE DIDNT, he shaved on top of my dog noose betw her eyes so badle and visible that you can see the badly work that guy JAY..... HOW EVER NAME DID ON MY BABY, HE TOTALLY DESTROYED HER FACE, ON HER BODY YOU CAN SEE THE DIFERENT SIZES OF THE HAIR HE LEFT.
