I have this place a second chance and boy do I regret it. Not only do the employees not wear masks even when preparing food but they allow customers to come in without masks and step behind the counter. Such bomb Mediterranean food. My friend took me here and I was amazed by the food and had to come back with my sister! We got the beef shwarma (so good, a bit chewy but great flavor with a hint of cinnamon), and the falafel (crispy goodness.) I really like their portion sizes, you can get 1.5 meals out of it (or two smaller meals) and leftovers the next day are still yummy! My favorite part about the meal actually was the rice, something I'd never thought I'd say- just shows how good the rice was. When you choose your entree, there are two options for sauce: garlic sauce or tahini. GET THE GARLIC SAUCE! It was sweet, garlic-y, and just the perfect flavor to complement the rest of the meal. The entrees also comes with two sides, and I love how many options they have! I got the Mediterranean potato salad (alright, does the job) and the hummus (I liked this a lot more, it comes with a drizzle of olive oil and paprika.) The platter meat was dry and the rice tasted like RiceARoni. Sorry guys, you can do better. By adding some tzatziki to the wrap and cutting back on the onion, it would enhance the flavor of the meat. It's useless asking someone if they overcook their lamb but I'm starting to see that most mediterranean food spots do. BUT, after you cut away the outside of the meat that had been exposed to the heat source, the inside is pretty soft still. Shame I have to put in so much work for eating. The location is convenient, plenty of parking, and lots of foot traffic. Ordering is simple and there are many options to choose from. My friend had a plate with chicken and I had a plate with lamb. His chicken was dry and my lamb took extra work. The rice was VERY heavy and buttery, which was intense with light spices. Like a tornado of flavors. The pita bread was dry but went well with the hummus. There was TOO MUCH cucumber in the yogurt and they give you generous portions, or was it generous because I couldn't eat everything on the plate. The garlic sauce was lighter than I had expected and the tahini sauce was nicely thick. A major gripe I had was how long we had to wait. I understand cooking meat through and through to make sure no one got sick, but all our meat was dry. So, it was overcooked and not very pleasant to eat. I'm happy they're busy, especially during COVID, but their management leaves much to be desired. read more
