First time here and comparing these to their Cerritos Branch. Their food portions are smaller and even the rice portion is also small. Place is not as busy as the Cerritos branch. We ordered the usual combo plate. One beef kabab and the other Chicken Kabab. There's only two staff present due to only a few customers are in during lunch maybe because locals know that their portions are smaller compared to the Cerritos branch. The marinade in their chicken is a mixture of bland and salty. The cooking of it was so dry. Don't think we are coming back to this branch. read more

I asked to see the different to-go container sizes so I could make an informed decision. Still, instead of showing them, the employee responded with a noticeable attitude and said the large was 20% more. That didn't answer my question at all--without seeing the smaller size, there was no way to gauge how much more I'd actually be getting. It came across as dismissive and unhelpful. Staff, both the elderly cashier and younger lady, were very unhappy, not friendly whatsoever. I never saw a smile. I told them both to please put my hummus for my wrap on the side as I was driving and not eating it for a good 20 minutes. I paid for my Kefta wrap and I then went to the sub sandwich place two doors down. I waited in line there for quite a while to order and wait for my friends sub. After about 15 minutes I went back to pickup my wrap and they hadn't even started it. WHAT...? I was the only one waiting on an order. I ordered a bag of pita chips while I was waiting. Paid the $2 and still waited. After 20 minutes I watched the younger lady spread hummus on bread. Then she realized she was supposed to put it on the side. She then started over. I watched her pick up veggies dripping quite a bit of juices and she threw that on the bread. She could have drained them I already told her I was driving and didn't want a soggy sandwich. She then wrapped up the wrap put in a bag with a tiny thing of garlic spread that I had to ask for. She forgot my chips, when I asked for them she said "oh yeah"...she quickly sealed the bag. When I got to my friends, I had no hummus, and couldn't unwrap my wrap because it was like a mushy pile of MUSH. I literally couldn't even pick it up. The juices from the undrained veggies had destroyed the bread. WHAT A WASTE OF A WRAP. I had ask my friend for a fork to pick out my meat and eat one little split in half kefta kebob for almost $15. I opened the bag of pita strips and they were burnt to a crisp. The had forgot them in the fryer. Really people. I hope everyone reads this long review and refuses to even try this place. We tried the beef & chicken shawarma with Tubbuelli salad, eggplant, it comes with this garlic sauce that is a must. We drenched each bite with this deliciousness of a sauce. I love that the pita bread is thin and large enough for the amount of food. My favorites are the rice noodles which comes with meal and the eggplant and not to forget the Nutella baklava. The food took a while to prepare, which might indicate that the orders were individually cooked when ordered. The result is the good, juicy meats! Just like all of the reviews have previously stated the customer service here is questionable. I entered and immediately the older woman at the counter ran away. She sent over a young man who was very kind to take my order. I think he sensed my dismay so I appreciate his patience. After I ordered she reappeared at the counter. As I was waiting for my food he asked her to let me know they were out of an ingredient. She snapped at him in their language and didn't address me. I felt that was unfair to me as a customer. Another person walked up to the counter shortly after and she stood up and helped him right away. I was sitting at the table closest to the counter so I looked up. She glared at me from above her glasses as I observed her helping someone else. The food came out great & I enjoyed my meal. The seasoned fries are good and I really like that they include a side of garlic paste. However, I won't be back because if that lady has to make my food I'd be scared to eat it. And I did not appreciate her service. Update 3/18: review reduced to one star based on managers public reply. That old lady was sitting at the counter doing NOTHING when I came in. As I approached the counter she ran away. So no I don't think this was a communication error or that she had something so important to do. I recently discovered this place through social media. The food is good. I'm obsessed with the fries. I've been here 3 times this past month, but I do not plan on going back because I encountered a huge problem! This establishment has at least one worker with a long unruly beard handling the food. This is unhygienic. According to FDA food code, "all employees who enter a kitchen or food preparation area must wear a hair restraint, including anyone with a beard who must wear a beard net." Hair nets keep customers safe from foodborne illnesses. Well, no one here was wearing a hair net. The women did have their hair up in a clip. My main concern was the food being held right under the beard as the plates were being prepared. This isn't anything personal towards the man, but why is management letting this happen? Unfortunately, I called in the order and had already paid when I noticed this issue. I called to speak to a manager, but apparently there wasn't one on site. Unfortunately, I have to give this place a lower review than I wanted to due to the customer service. I came at 6:45 PM, and we are the only people in here (pretty sure it is because the service is not good and they try to nickel and dime for every little thing). The workers are not friendly at all, and they seem to be annoyed at the customer's existence or ignore you. If I were the owner, I would definitely speak to them about greeting customers, ensuring prompt service, and being kind. I literally just watched a lady come in to try and order and one employee walked out and the other worker chose to ignore her until she had to go get his attention. I really enjoyed the food, but as someone that worked in to food and service industry, I can't spend my money on places with terrible customer service and owners that charge for every little thing when prices are already higher than ever. Chicken amt seems less too. My first experience was so great. I drive to the Corona location from the OC. I did the chicken kabob combo plate, entree - 1 skewer to eat there. To take home, I ordered half a rotisserie chicken. It was tasty. But it does not come with any rice. You can buy a small side for $3.49. read more

They took over the Dog Haus space in the Costco shopping center. The inside looks the same. The service is okay. It's walk up order and pay first kind of place. They have fountain drinks. The prices are pretty high but you get a good amount of food. We got the chicken shawarma plate and it was very different than what we've had from other places. We didn't care for it as it was dry and lacked flavor. The rice was overcooked so it was mushy. The hummus was yummy. The tabouleh was good but very different than what we've had from other places. They add other ingredients in it like cucumber pieces. The falafel was almost burnt but had good flavor. The garlic sauce is not as good as others and they charge for extra sauce. For starters, it was our first time. Chicken shawarma Arabic style is 10/10 But the low rating is due to two main things: cleanliness and soggy falafel pita. Usually everyone's go to for falafel is Sababa in Anaheim. We decided to give this place a try since it's nearby. The falafel wasn't fully cooked on the inside, not sure why they were extremely rushed into making our order. Once we got it, the pita was alllll soggy, completely cold and wet. Not sure if it was heated up at all. But for the main main point that I wish the business owner and workers would read is that I've never smelt a more disgusting smell in any food establishment before. You walk in and right when you get to the counter you smell something really odd, like the machines haven't been cleaned in ages or the dirty floors behind the counter - not sure. Then we tried to go into the bathroom to just wash our hands and we couldn't even get to open the door because it smelled like absolutely number #2. Did someone do that in the bathroom then walk around with it on there shoes... did they not clean the bathroom in ages!? Not sure! But once we smelled that we immediately left and won't ever be back. I went with the beef and chicken shawarma combo. Chicken & Beef Shawarma Combo ($19) - This came with Lebanese rice, generous portions of chicken and beef shawarma, garlic sauce, store bought pita bread, and 2 sides. For my sides I did a double order of hummus. The chicken and beef shawarma were ok taste wise and not as tender as I was hoping for them to be. The hummus wasn't bad. Overall, I found the service to be friendly and portions to be large (30% bigger than that of a normal serving at other Mediterranean places).
