This used to be my partner and my go-to halal stop for delicious shawarma, however we were a bit disappointed on our last visit... To start, I stand by this being one of, if not the best shawarma stop in the Syracuse area. We've frequently gotten both the beef and chicken shawarma sandwiches (and on occasion, the falafel as well). However, when we went to pickup we were disappointed to find that they were no longer include a drink in their combo, although it is still listed on their website, in addition to prices being increased. This is certainly new given we last picked up in September where the drink was included and was also confirmed by the man at the front counter who simply said "yeah, we don't include drinks anymore". Kabab Guys checks all those boxes and more--and the staff and owners were extremely accommodate and knowledgeable regarding my gluten allergy--they even made gluten-free naan for me. Yay! Hummus is one of my favorites and I have to say Kabab Guys hummus will make your mouth water. Not only did I have their hummus, I also had the lamb, chicken and rice--all were exceptional--I can see why this restaurant has a consistent flow of patrons. If you don't eat chicken or lamb, no worries, they also have fish, beef and veggie plates. Really wanted to love this place but it was meh. First, walking in, the place is beautiful! Loved how bright, clean, open it was and the artwork was beautiful giving homage to places around the world. I was greeted (barely) by a woman with a really dry and cold reception. While I attempted to make small talk telling her how beautiful the place was, she never smiled and didn't entertain any discussion. I ordered and had higher hopes for the food to be better than the service. I'll admit, the food was tasty. I had the salmon platter which was cooked well and seasoned perfectly. The salmon, rice and salad was all delicious but not worth $22. If I could put a price on it, I would say about $18 worth of food. I think it was a little pricey but the food had great taste. Our first time ordering from this restaurant located near Five Guys (maybe that was the inspiration for the name?). Made an online order of the kebab sampler with chicken, beef, lamb and veg, rice, salad and a side of pita. It was all very good, and it easily fed two of us. The interior of the place is spacious, very clean and modern. It seems like ti would be a great place for a sit down meal, but it was empty on a Tuesday night. I'm a guy who doesn't like my sandwiches with tons of filler. Meat and sauce. These guys designed this wrap with me in mind. Literally all chicken and Garlic Aioli in a wrap with a nice sear and grill marks. My gf got a Lamb Kebab Wrap. The meat was very tender and she was really happy with it. I'd been hearing so many good things about Kabab Guys I had to check them out. We went to the location on West Genesee St. I ordered through door dash for pickup. The menu has so many choices! I ordered a chicken shawarma platter and a beef and chicken shawarma platter. Both came with a garlic aioli that tasted excellent mixed with the meats. It also came with rice that was so delicious! The meats also were delicious! Not overly spicy just perfect! I also ordered the nut baklava so buttery and delicious! Definitely will be going back! We had to wait a little bit for our order but that's ok it was well worth the wait! Staff was very nice! Nice and bright in the restaurant with parking right out front! read more

My brother and I both had the Lamb Kabob with rice. I had read a complaint about the price, but we were served many chunks of lamb. (And I know how expensive lamb is!) I went with the Kebab Platter which came with Lamb, beef, chicken and kibbeh over rice with a small salad. The beef was filet, which was tender. The lamb had great flavor and the chicken was what you'd expect with chicken I guess! The rice was a solid portion and the small salad was a nice touch. One of the show stealers was the garlic aioli dip that they provided with the meal, it was delicious and gave the chicken what it was missing. The picture of other people reviews are the same as the place I went today. Anyways I had the chicken schawarma platter. All the ingredients seemed super fresh. Flavor of the chicken and rice was nice. The white sauce that came with it was a very nice compliment. I can't tell what it is but it's good. The guy behind the counter was super friendly and seemed to care if I liked his food. The restaurant was very clean and they cook right where you can see them. Every time I come here I leave with a FAT plate. Shawarma chicken with rice and hot sauce is so good it puts me to sleep. The rice is authentic. The flavor is authentic. Whenever I'm feeling for a quick lunch I come for a chicken shawarma sandwich it's always quick ready to go service. Never have to wait around. The tabbouleh was very well-balanced, but it was lacking salt and lemon juice. I got the lamb skewers, and they were phenomenal. The tahini sauce was not too thick and just light enough. This restaurant is a must! My husband and I were in Syracuse and I was craving some kababs. After a quick google search for halal kababs we decided to try Kabab Guys. and WOW! The food was so delicious we ate here 3 days in a row! Our only complaint was they were not open before we left town and couldn't eat there the 4th day! The mezza appetizer was great. We asked for extra lemon to adjust the baba ganoush and tabouli to our taste and it was so good! Everything was fresh! I've been to places where the salads seemed to be from the previous day but at Kabab Guys everything was fresh. It felt like they got the ingredients the same day. Ahhh the pickled radish! Delicious! They make it in house. I loved it so much I asked for extra and they gave me a whole plate! The next day we came back they remembered and gave us extra too. THE FALAFEL! yummy! My husband born and raised in Palestine said that was the best falafel in America he has tasted. It was so good we ordered it all 3 days and craved it for days after going home! (Still craving it!) . The outside was crispy and inside cooked to perfection! They definitely have the best recipe for falafel! And each piece is a really good size! The kibeh was also good. It was the most authentic I've tasted at a restaurant. Would definitely suggest trying it if you are craving it. We tried their beef egg rolls that were good but I would order other appetizers before it. We also ordered the mixed grill Kabab all 3 days. The chicken Kabab could use a touch more seasoning but the rest of them were sooooooo good! Honestly the meats are high quality and probably the best kababs we've had. I woke up each day waiting for them to open so we could go back. I was not shy to take the final bites! We also ordered the shawarma sandwiches the first day. They were delicious and perfect for a quick meal. Spicy potatoes is a must! So delicious and crisped to perfection. We also tried their lentil soup on the last day. We added lemon to our taste preference and it was great for the cold weather! The portions were very generous! Oh how could I forget to talk about their rice.
