Service is great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Spacious and nice decorations inside. Food is ok. I don't really like my entree the beef dumplings. I like the appetizers zucchini pancake and grilled octopus. But overall I just feel the flavor is missing as Mediterranean food.

A very nice restaurant, decorated with beautiful plants and flowers. It's an expensive restaurant, prices are really really high for the dishes. We walked in for Saturday lunch, got table right away, no wait time. We got complementary bread and butter to get started. The menu has lots of good dishes. Ordered my favorite Calf's liver. Decent size plate with lots of liver, but it was grilled little more than I'd have liked. Still tasted good with onions and lemon squeeze. The grilled octopus and zucchini pancake were also good. Lamb shish kabab was well made. Big chunks, soft and tender. The salmon also came out to be good looking plate. Loved the grilled shrimp plate too. Service was good, our server was a pro, illustrating all hands skills of dining service. But the kitchen is on little bit of slower side. Took the dishes forever to get served. But taste wise, they are up to the mark.

Fresh and scrumptious food. Great service. Spacious and clean. Decent price. Apparently, they opened in 2020, just as Covid hit. Just barely over 2 years in, their food is simply delectable and fresh. We had a large party of 19 adults and 3 children, and were treated so well. Dishes slowly rolled in, food after food after food, new dishes and utensils as needed. Everyone had such a great experience. We ordered (more than enough for us): - (3) Shepperd's Salad (Large) -- $16.95 x 3 = $50.83 - (3) Green Salad -- $14.95 x 3 = $44.85 - (2) Babaganush -- $11.50 x 2 = $23 - (2) Labne -- $11.50 x 2 = $23 - (5) Falafels -- $13.50 x 5 = $67.50 - (3) Calamaries -- $16.95 x 5 = $84.75 - (8) Mixed Kebab/Grill -- $49.95 x 8 = $399.60 They also have an option for a set menu of $50/person for large groups. A couple of things to note: - Having bread with Labne and Babaganus together was rather yummy. - The rice (!!!) in the Mixed Grill was probably one of my favorites! Yum!!! Thank you, Aisye, for having us!

We were here with our long time friends for a much needed gathering tonight. We started with hummus and babaganoush as our apps. It was served w/side of crusty bread instead of pita. It was delicious, light and with lots of flavor. We all had the chicken shish as our main course. It was also prepared very well and it tasted delicious. The meat was moist. I like the accompaniments with the main course. The owner came by the table to introduce herself and we had a conversation with her. Very friendly individual and we were gifted each a rice pudding to take home. That was a great gesture on the owners part. Impeccable service and quality of food. Love the decor and ambiance. We will definitely be back for more and the next time we will take more photos.

Nice space, fast service, delicious and juicy kebabs. We also like the calamari, hummus, kibbeh, and Turkish dumplings.

The baba ghanoush was everything I love in a good eggplant dip and was a definite win in our book - seasoned, textured, and slightly smokey. We intuited this would be delicious by getting two containers of it, and this turned out to be a great life choice. Chicken adana is a fan favorite in our house, and it's done pretty well here. They're like elongated loaves of marinated and spiced ground chicken, and delicious with rice and a dollop of yogurt sauce. We preferred these over the chicken kebab, which were just as flavorful but quite a bit drier. Both entrees were served with a grilled tomato and pepper, which were still warm and charred from the grill. They also came with small side salads, with lightly dressed and slightly wilted greens. My husband appreciated the extra veggies with our meal, but I far preferred the warm and soft pita rounds.

When I first moved to Jersey, this place came highly recommended, and it quickly became a bit of a habit. For the first six months, I was going almost weekly--and for good reason. The chicken kebab is juicy and full of flavor, the shepherd's salad is a delight, and the lentil soup is comforting and delicious. My absolute favorite, though, is the homemade bread with labneh--truly to die for. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance and feels like a special treat every time. Toros only serves wine, so plan accordingly (they do have a non-alcoholic lemonade on the menu, which my dinner date loved). Our server was friendly and took time to describe each item on the menu. For my meal, I tried the Bamia, which is a traditional, thick Turkish stew with okra and lamb, served with basmati rice. The stew itself had a sour taste but our server did give me the heads up before ordering. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Toros and I'm looking forward to coming back!

Its English name comes from a Greek legend: Zeus had an affair with a beautiful woman named Io. When Hera, his wife, discovered his infidelity, she turned Io into a cow and created a horsefly to sting her on the rump. Io jumped clear across the strait. Thus, "bous" = "cow" and "poros" = "crossing place": Bosphorus = "crossing place of the cow." Located off of busy Franklin Avenue in Nutley, my partner, our friends, and I have decided on our dinner at this family-owned-and-run BYOB establishment, which has been open since 1995. A reservation was made for a party of 4 by calling their restaurant. Upon arrival after three years, we were welcomed by Nora, the owner, and made our way to a table by the piano inside, evoking a cozy, thoughtfully designed, upscale vibe with music playing softly. Their menu features Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine. For starters, we decided on the Puffed Rill Pastry and Grape Leaves. Our main meal consisted of all lamb dishes (Lamb Shish Kebab, Beyti Kebab, Lamb Chops, and Lamb Sauté). Our food was fresh, well seasoned, and cooked to perfection, accompanied by a beautifully presented dish. Everything was authentically made with love here. Wish we could have stayed for dessert, as they looked amazing, but some of us were in a rush. It's definitely on the higher end cost but worth the taste. Our visit ended with a hug and a piece of candy.

It was 5pm on a slow Monday so we were seated right away. The interior is cozy, quiet, and clean. We started with 3 Mixed Appetizers along with their complimentary warm bread. The 3 dips were all solid but nothing out of the ordinary. Good flavor, smooth & creamy texture, and great for sharing. I love ordering dishes like the Mixed Kebab Platter for Two as we get a taste of everything and it's family-style. The presentation was beautiful, the meats were tender, and I like that they paired it with rice, bulgur, and some salad. All the meats were tender and well-seasoned but could've been hotter in temperature. I particularly enjoyed the chicken & lamb adana kebabs. My other minor complaint was the sides were not enough to share and the ratio compared to the meats was off. We definitely could've used more rice with the meats. The staff were super kind & friendly the entire time. Decent try overall!
