Delish food! Great vibe!! They have hookah and they are open late. Great place to grab dinner and cocktails before a show at the Bergen pac center! Great service too loved it

Servers did not come out to us for more than forty minutes. No water no bread until we complained. There were 5 adults and 3 children. We were not offered lunch menu until we requested it. Chicken tenders tasted like old oil. My kabob was $17 and the chicken was not enough. All in all it was terrible service and not worth all the hype. We will not be returning.

Came to LuLu for a birthday dinner. It's very convenient to the Bergen PAC. The space is simple modern with a low key vibe. We were a group of ten and were pleased with the service. Appys Grilled octopus Cheese Borek Garlic shrimp Liver Entrees Branzino Grilled salmon Chicken shish Dessert Pistachio tiramisu Chocolate cake Cheesecake Food was good overall. Lulu is a nice stop for pre-show or "just because ".

My friends took me here on a whim, I didnt know we were coming here so I didnt have time to research this place prior to. First impressions...super cute vibes, it def gives off Mediterranean vibes. Plus side for me: they had really good hookah. I like entertainment and food in one place. I cant seem to remember what drink I ordered but it had coconut and it was on their drink menu. The other party had an espresso martini and lychee martini and they loved it. What turned me off was that it took a waiter to come to us 30 mins AFTER we got our drinks to order. Service seemed all over the place because we werent assigned one specific waited and we saw at least 6 different waiters which really confused us as to who to ask for help. Throughout the night we had to waive down someone for assistance opposed to someone checking in on us every now and then. I used to work in hospitality so I know what good service should be and this place didnt have it. Now onto to the food. We ordered a sampler of the hummus, yogurt, and white bean and tomato dips w some fresh warm pita. It was such a hit and I couldve just eaten that all night. For the entrees : 2 of us ordered the lamb chops, and another ordered what looked like steak kabobs because they ran out of the actual other steak dish they had. My lamb chop were mediocre, over cooked and not tasty. The salad that came with it was overly acidic and I couldnt eat it nor could the other girl who ordered it. Wayyyyy wayyyy too sour. My husband ordered some chicken wings which he didnt like. The steak kabobs I was told was good and he cleaned off his plate. For dessert we ordered the baklava, I was hoping for it to have a nice crunch. I was disappointed but one of my other guests absolutely loved it...so to each its own. They also had a belly dancer, it was cute and very entertaining. I would try this place again but just for apps, drinks and hookah.

i liked the place and the ambience. me and my friend ordered the dips as an app. they gave us a bowl of pita bread but it was a really small bowl and we had 3 dips. we had to keep asking for more pita. they could of gave us a bigger bowl of pita bread so we didn't have to keep asking. also we asked for the hookah with the grapefruit and instead they brought us a regular one which wasn't a big deal but we pointed to that one on the menu. i'm not an expert in hookah but my friend said we should get that one and that wasn't given to us. they had a belly dancer and a dj. both were great entertainment

Came on a rainy afternoon, easily got seated as there was hardly any crowd. Were starving and without delay ordered chicken shawarma bowl and chicken wrap. Wanted to love it since we like the Edgewater location but the food was pretty standard and nothing impressive to point out. Let's just say I have had better hummus in a non Mediterranean place!!! The chicken was well cooked and seasoned, not bad not great , 3 stars it is!!!

We celebrated a birthday here with a large party. There was a prix fixe menu, which made the decision making so much easier. The meat sampler plate and baklava were great and large enough to share between 4 people. I was not much really a fan of the turkish coffee. The location is in a busy plaza in Englewood, but there is free parking. Overall, the food was good and I would love to come back and try the other items on the menu!

My family of 10+ was the only party in the main dining area for a while, so that was odd, but we all had a great meal here. Our server was so attentive and kind. We liked everything - the mezze spread, chicken shish kebab, branzino, halloumi, pita, and even the calamari. The only thing we didn't love was the beef kebab because it was a bit tough. All around it was a really well done meal.

My cousins and I love coming to Lulu's for a girls night! Their cocktail menu is amazing and we love sharing a mezze platter.

Everything was delicious. We shared 6 appetizers: baba ganuj, beets and yogurt, halloumi, tiny shrimp, pickles and olives, cheese bourek. Excellent fluffy pita. Bellinis made by our lovely server, Butek. Service was swift and friendly. I can think of no criticism.

First time coming here for lunch and for my birthday. Love the ambiance and decorations in the place. I had my bronzini and it was amazing Food was delicious and tasty. The service was great! Definitely recommend

I couldn't wait so this picture should have been taken earlier

We are amazed at this new restaurant. It like a new shining gem in downtown Ridgewood. I can only tell you do not miss the chance to experience the menu and creations they have on the menu.

Amazing flavor!!! -I chose the Fesenjan because it contains ingredients like pomegranate and walnuts--it sounded really interesting. The order comes with Basmati rice. The star of the dish is a chicken leg--apparently slow-cooked for hours--which was truly delicious; the flavor wasn't spicy or overly spiced, but a balance of sweet and savory--leaning more towards sweet--and it was aromatic and tender. Overall, it was delicious; the rice was simple but incredibly tasty. The dishes are priced a bit higher than usual--arguably a little expensive--but it's worth it because you can see the fresh, high-quality ingredients. The cousin and flavor are excellent, and as I mentioned before, the portions are generous. Kudos to the entire team behind this restaurant; keep up the excellent work. I will certainly be ordering again or visiting in person soon.

The side of salad and potato has were good too. I also got the Lefkes Shrimp Tempura roll, which was the best dish of the night for me. It was a big roll, filled with ingredients and topped with massage. The virgin mojito a tasty drink as well. The service was okay. Our waiter did his basic duties. The dishes seemed to be coming out slow, though were one of the only four parties in the restaurant. 4.5 stars Zula Grill…read morehad been on my list for a while, and it had apparently been on my brother's as well. So, when he recently suggested driving a good deal out of the way in order to sample their food for a takeout dinner, I still agreed. As he drove, I called to place our order for a large family gathering, and the woman on the phone did not miss a beat. She captured all of our requested items and customizations, ensuring that our meal arrived as expected. I should note that Zula required pre-payment for large orders to make sure that the food was collected. Agreeing to the lengthy excursion was not without its challenges, namely having to drive back with the heavenly food smells tantalizing us throughout the entire journey. When we arrived back at the house, other folks were still chatting, but I tore into the bag and tried to hand out the meals as quickly as I could in order to then indulge myself. My Chicken Breast Platter included the choice of two side dishes, one pita, and a small cup of tahini. In terms of the poultry, the two breasts were on the smaller size, but were lean, thinly-sliced, well-grilled, and flavorful. For the first side dish, I had the Israeli Salad, which was fresh, bright, and, thankfully, not too oniony. Secondly, the Moroccan carrots were a bit oily, but offered a nice heat and spice level. The fluffy pita was soft, gooey, and melt in your mouth tasty. In terms of the tahini, I opted for the standard variety, rather than the tahini amba with pickled mango. The traditional version was rich, thick, and acted as a great topping for the chicken and the pita. Lastly, I shared some of the large quart of Hummus, which was creamy, well-seasoned, and simply delicious. In fact, someone at the table thought it might have even been the best they had ever had, and I agree that it was certainly close! Everyone adored their menu items from Zula Grill, and we all agreed that we would definitely order from there again.

Taverna Veranda attracts cool, chill folks who enjoy good music, company, and food. And you can come alone and be treated with dignity by both patrons and staff. It is that kind of environment. No cheap elitism, no wannabes. I came on a Friday night to enjoy their seafood special and the DJ. If you want to carry a conversation, maybe avoid Friday nights. If you wanna dance then Friday night is good. DJ spins a selection of high beat Arabic music that will get you moving for sure. I had the pink snapper, which was huge and is meant to be shared among three people. It comes with two choices of sides and i recommend the spicy broccoli and spicy fries. For mezze you must try the babaganoush. It comes with pomegranate seeds and fresh chopped cherry tomatoes, for a mildly tart and sweet nuance. It comes with pita bread roasted with rosemary. Kefte is another winner; bite size meatballs with tzatsiki sauce. But something you rarely see in ordinary middle Eastern restaurants is the saganaki. You must order it. Especially if you are having a stiff drink...it will help soak up that 40% proof alcohol. The cheese was gooey melty perfection, sizzling hot with lemon wedge on top. You have the sweet tardiness of the lemon combined with the saltiness of the cheese. Speaking of stiff drinks, the señorita is strong and well made. If you had a particularly rough week, you will appreciate the bartender. The glass is large, with about 1.7 Oz of Don Julio 1942 añejo. The view is lovely. I was sitting inside as it was a warm summer night. But as the weather cools and the mosquitos leave, I want to chill on the terrace, at brunch.

The menu is tantalizing and there's plenty of familiar favorites along with a few new-to-me items that the server readily described when I asked questions. This time, I tried the pargiot sandwich. I had no previous conception of 'pargiot' but another reviewer had sung praises about this wonderfully marinated chicken thigh meat. Having tried it, I'm not convinced it's blow-your-mind good, but it was decently flavorful and tender. You can customize the salad type that goes in your sandwich, and I chose the Israeli salad, a blend of tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions. Mine felt a touch overstuffed since it was harder to taste the chicken and made my pita soggy quicker than I would have thought, but it's hard for me to ding points for generous servings. Our server checked in on us regularly and even thought to inquire about any sesame allergies before setting down the tahini dip that comes with the welcome platter of bread. As the restaurant got full and our visit came up against a reservation, I appreciated how respectfully he asked for the table. Speaking of reservations, it might be a good idea to make one for your visit, especially if you're thinking of coming for dinner. My friend and I came on a random Tuesday afternoon and this space completely filled up. There are also some outside tables available for possible spillover seating, but if your heart is set on coming here, call ahead. Parking in Englewood is always tough, especially come mealtimes because there are so many restaurants here. Make sure you come laden with quarters for the older parking meters or have the ParkMobile app ready for the spots that allow mobile payment.
