The food, service, and ambience were all a treat. We had the muhamarra, lamb manti, mixed pide and halva ice cream--all delicious and satisfying. Our servers were attentive, and helpful with any questions and requests. The actual restaurant is so spacious and elegantly decorated. I love all the artwork and unique touches. I was particularly glad to enjoy it in spring when they have so many floral, fauna, and vibrant fruit accents. I look forward to coming back to Mado for more memorable meals.

The restaurant is easily located on Kinderkamack Rd River Edge with handicapped parking in front and ample parking around back. The restaurant is pretty inside with a bright and clean Mediterranean feel. The service was exceptional, quick and professional. The food was plentiful and delicious. We started with an assortment of dips served with a plateful of very light and warm pita, dynamite shrimp and an amazing chopped Greek salad. Several of us opted for the Bronzino, and a couple had kabobs. We ended with a bite of baklava and coffee/tea. The prices are reasonable and food plentiful and we had left overs to go! Definitely heading back to Mado!

Mado has been one of my go to places for amazing authentic Armenian cuisine. This place has been highly recommended by my in-laws and after going multiple times I've finally came around to writing a review. The restaurant is huge on the inside great for bringing friends and family. We've had parties here with up to 20+ people and they were able to accommodate. The food is always epic and I highly recommend the chicken shish kebab. The chicken kebab is by far the most tender chicken I've ever had. This place has always been a treat to go to when craving Armenian food.

What a hidden gem! Great service and delicious meal! We loved having an early dinner around 5:30p Saturday night. Definitely got packed by 6:30p. No reservations though. We loved the appetizer we got. Cheese rolls were fresh and hot. I thought the cheese was a little salty but my hubby loved it. The dinner meals were great. We ordered Adana kebab and lamb shish with gyro platters. Both were fantastic. The sauce was amazing as well. All in all we were very happy with finding this place. The dessert was also amazing. We got the milk pudding to share. Will return!

Our second visit in couple of months. Everything was so good. Fluffy soft bread, amazing chunky liver, crispy calamari and amazing adana with yogurt. The baklava was a perfect sweet finish to meal. The restaurant had lovely Christmas decorations including a huge tree. Service was excellent.

Excellent food and service. All are flavorful and big portion. I like everything that we ordered. Very nice and clean restaurant. It's big and spacious. Parking in the back (take the road by 7-11)

Table for one at 4:25 and the Restuarant is empty. Takes about 45 min for me to finish a meal. Embarrassing to deny me a seat. Shameful service and should be ashamed. Restuarant completely empty. I'm sure nobody is coming 45 mins for one small table.

We got a table right away. The menu had a variety of dishes like appetizers, soups, gyro, kebabs, pasta, pizzas, seafood, wraps and sandwiches. In drinks section, they had the Turkish coffee and tea. We started with their complementary bread, so fluffy and light, we pretty ate the whole thing before any of our dishes came. I ordered my favorite fried liver cubes from the hot apps section, and it was fantastic. It was full of flavor, perfectly sized cubes and properly fried. Tasted so good with the complimentary bread (we requested a second one). For entree we ordered the Mix Grill and Karisik Izgara as it was a perfectly sharable dish for two and we got to try 5 of their kebabs that are lamb shish, ground lamb, chicken shish, ground chicken and grilled meat patties. Both ground kebabs were excellent, full of flavors. The shish and patties were also good. We got the margarita pizza too, but that one was disappointed, seemed like some sauce was just thrown on top of the cheese and wasn't baked long enough. Our server was really friendly. She always stayed on top of things. Our dishes came out in quick time, it was impressive. Despite the shortcoming of the pizza, which is not usually a Turkish dish, I was thoroughly impressed by the actually Turkish dishes, like liver cubes and kebabs. I'll for sure visit them again whenever I feel like having kebabs next time

We had to ask twice for our rice we ordered for entrees to be brought out because our server forgot. Fine, that happens. But what really threw me off was when I questioned if the mold in my cheese was normal, the server assured me it was naturally occurring for the flavor. I felt gaslit because I have never had Parmesan with such questionable green growth on it for consumption in any restaurant in my entire life. The server said if it bothered me, he'd bring out fresh shavings with no mold. I have left pictures so you can be the judge of this. Aside from my minor issue with the cheese, the ambiance of the restaurant was nice and there's plenty of choices for meat and non-meat eaters alike

The menu is simple, but covers everything we love. Server came by with warm, fresh, fluffy seasoned pita and a dish of seasoned olive oil. Great start. Started with Cheese Borek and Fried Liver cubes -- The Borek was the best we have had and we order that anytime we dine Mediterrean. The 4 Borek were fat, fried to perfection, and their filling of Feta and spinach was hot, melty and super tasty. We love love Fried Liver, and Lulu does it to perfection. The portion was huge, and dressed with red onion and lemon juice, it sang. We decided to split an order of Manti, those delightful tiny lamb dumplings tossed with burnt butter and garlic yogurt -- holy holy. We ran some liver around that sauce, and were glad we saved some of the bread to sop everything up. So good. Ordered the Kunefe, as we always do. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the table -- so if you are thinking about it, order it before they take your dinner plates away. The Kunefe was good. We think they forgot to add to the syrup it comes in -- but maybe that's the way they do it. It won't disappoint, but I missed that rosewater sugar syrup we are used to. Different places, different recipes. In all, Lulu did not disappoint and we look forward to visiting again. Go, go go. And tip your servers well.

I had in my mind a superior dining experience in Israel, a similar schnitzel-in-pita storefront in Hod HaSharon. There, because it's Israel, every aspect was superior: fresh, crispy, assortment of salads, and super fast. I was hoping for something similar here. Orange and chrome mid-century modern decor. Simple menu. Good service. Clean. Super impressed at first glance. I got schnitzel in pita, spouse got same in laffa bread, daughter got schawarma in laffa. All delicious and fresh. Service was friendly. It took a few minutes to get our order and they were not particularly busy, luckily we were not in a rush. Once the food came, it was worth the short wait! Bottom line: it's not Hod HaSharon, but pretty darn good for Teaneck! Would definitely return here! The only negative is that parking seems to be an issue. We visited this restaurant at 12 noon on a Sunday and it was impossible to park. I don't know where the people in all these cars were shopping, I sure didn't see a high amount of foot traffic. I have a feeling people just parked and left their cars, maybe attending an event elsewhere. So if you visit: plan time to park and walk!

While I was apprehensive about trying lamb, the green eggs & ham situation came into effect! As soon as I took my first bite, I was hooked as I devoured that platter! The shawarma sauce is really creamy and it goes with anything and everything! You can either have it on the side or on top of your meal.
