Honestly not bad for a food court place. Working at a Lebanese deli with completely amazing food has sort of made me a Mediterranean snob, but Kabobi definitely has some good offerings. I got a falafel pita with sweet rice. Their falafal isn't bad. The pita was definitely a good size, and had plenty of toppings like lettuce, tatziki, cucumber, and tomato. Their sweet rice was on point...so delicious and I could have made a meal just from that. Plenty of cinnamon, raisins, and carrots. A generous helping, too. One nice thing is there is something for everyone...low carb, vegetarian, halal, gluten free...so many options for those with dietary restrictions. My meal was just over $8 with a drink, pretty in line for a restaurant with healthier options (Crisp, Greek Fiesta, etc) in the food court. I am giving the place 2 stars. The food was ok. The bread was really hard. I will not be spending my money there again. That and take note. The drinks get 1 refill. You do not get a second refill. This is policy. So if you are going to eat there. I would recommend getting a drink at another location. That or the bottle drinks may be good. read more

I wish this wasn't in a mall food court. Having said that...this is authentic Persian food, not just the top few dishes you can get anywhere in a decent Mediterranean place, but for real, Persian recipes. The ground meat kebab is completely on point, and they will hit it with a good sprinkle of sumac if that's what you want. Several types of rice pilaf are offered: sweet, lentil, and basmati. The sweet rice is yummy, a simple but worthy version of a very complicated, time-consuming dish. The okra stew dish is also very authentic, like someone's mom made it. Those are my favorites and the dishes I come back to. The "taziki" is more Persian than Greek and won't have that stronger garlic hit but it is very fitting for the food, as is the chopped salad. Everything I've had here has been delicious, authentic, healthy, and served up with friendly smiles. You can even get a bottle of doogh with a little condiment container of mint, if that's your thing. If you can't deal with the food court environment, they can pack everything for takeout. They really skimped on the rice, they were being really cheap. And the sultani kabob said it would come with grilled tomatoes but it didn't. I had to tell the worker that my platter included a drink, they weren't going to give it to me if I hadn't asked. Also the hummus sucked. Not your average mall food! Crabtree Valley Mall. Believe it or not, this is a great place to grab a bite - despite having to hunt for a half cleaned table in the food court. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Very fresh and flavorful. I usually get the steak, fried eggplant, rice with lentils, and another side. Plan to spend about $10 with a drink, but it is restaurant quality food, just pretend you aren't sitting next to someone eating McD's. The staff is very friendly too. This was a pretty good meal for the price. It reminds me a little of Greek Fiesta, which is also here. I got the beef kabob and jasmine rice. It comes with a side of tzaki(sp) and pita. The sauce tasted really fresh and home made, and the rice was tasty and cooked just right. Both of those were better than GF's. The kabob was flavored well, but had a lot of fat in it, I liked GF's kabobs better. Next time I will try a different kind of kabob, but otherwise very tasty! read more
