The interior is elegantly decorated and gives an elevated feeling to the restaurant while still maintaining a reasonable prices, considering the great quality of the food. I shared the spaghetti Bolognese with my child and we still had enough to take some home. My partner had a salad accompanied by a spanakoptika which he was quite happy with as well. The meal started with complementary sourdough bread, which is made in house and olive oil to dip it in, which is garnish by crispy garlic. Been too long since visiting. Excellent, high quality food. Something for everyone. I enjoyed the Athenian Chicken, a lemony cream sauce with capers and artichokes over fettuccine. The warm, toasted bread and seasoned dipping was ok. It's a relaxing atmosphere for dining. No rush, enjoy the food and ambience. They do seem a bit more upscale than I remembered, but still enjoyed my visit. Ginger was an excellent server. Questions I had were answered well. If she didn't know she found someone who did. What a hidden gem! Came here for lunch and we had the most pleasant time. The interior is gorgeous- nicely set tables with beautiful wall decor. Our server was absolutely wonderful, he was pleasant, enthusiastic, and very attentive. For appetizers we got the calamari, hummus, and Greek bruschetta. All of which were very flavorful and delicious! The calamari was my favorite. For a main I got the chicken souvlaki, which was a HUGE portion of food. My coworkers, a guest, and I went to lunch at Alexander's and our server, Elizabeth, was absolutely wonderful. Not only did she take care of us in the moment, but after our meal as well. I completely forgot to grab a receipt to submit for a business expense and Elizabeth kindly searched their records so that I could obtain a copy of the receipt. I offered to come grab a copy from their location, but she sent an electronic copy so that I would not have to go out of my way. Even though the inconvenience was on my behalf, she still went above and beyond to take care of my team. I love Alexander's! I can't remember the last time I've enjoyed a restaurant so much. I've had two excellent eat-in meals and several takeouts, and there's nothing there that I don't like. Everything is so good. If I had to choose a favorite, I would choose the Chilean Sea Bass. It is excellent. However, I also love the snapper, salmon, the desserts (especially the tiramisu), and the appetizers. The staff is always pleasant. I wish we had found it sooner. read more

Enjoyed lunch here today with my family and friends. The gyro lunch plate was delicious and the tzatziki sauce was perfect in the gyro. The fries were also extra crunchy and tasty. Family visited from out of state and wanted something classy for dinner. I'd had the lemoncello cake before but never an actual meal, and it met my definition of classy. The service was top-notch, the atmosphere was cozy and cultured (with live music), and the food was off the charts superb. What a great surprise this restaurant was on my recent trip. The only thing better than the food, was the service provided by Michael. His knowledge of the menu, attention to detail and level of professionalism was second to none. As for the food, we started with the calamari which contained both, the familiar rings as well as portions of the tentacles, which melted in your mouth and was served with a marinara sauce and lemon wedge. For the main course I ordered a Scottish stuffed salmon and she had the sea bass. Both dishes tasted AMAZING and the portions were well worth the price. After 5 years it seemed like it was time to update my review of Alexander's. This is still hands down my favorite restaurant in Garner. The staff has always been friendly, prompt, and kind. The food is excellent. What particularly stands out are the vegetables. My favorite dish at dinner is the lamb souvlaki, not because of the lamb, which is excellent, but because of the delicious rice and accompanying vegetables. However over the past couple years I have shifted to preferring the lunch menu over the dinner menu despite the larger size of the dinner menu. I have more consistently loved the different items I have tried at lunch and have enjoyed having fewer people in the restaurant. Definitely get fries with whatever you get at lunch. Oh, and try the soup of the day - they are all great. Especially the red pepper gouda. read more

My favorite meal is the chicken souvlaki pita sandwich with a small Greek side salad. The chicken is seasoned very well, the pita bread is toasted and very fresh, and the tzatziki sauce is absolutely delicious. The Greek salad has very leafy greens, the veggies taste amazing, the feta is super creamy, and the Greek dressing is the best I've ever had! It's a balsamic style dressing and it's addictive! The only negative I have is that the silverware they give you with the carryout order is very flimsy and difficult to eat a salad with. The crab cake was at most mediocre in taste but the sauce was the worst. It was mainly heavy cream with lots of flour with bland taste. Needless to say we will never come here again.
