Pretty much fast food, at sit down full service restaurant prices. Place an order and they deliver it to a table or you take it to go. Plastic utensils. The lamb dinner came with a couple pita chips but no pita bread. The falafel was tasty but came with no sauce. Served just plain. Not bad food but pricy for what you get. read more

What a great place to eat. My daughter and I came in for a late lunch. We both ordered the grilled chicken breast. They both came with Greek salads. She chose rice and I chose potatoes to go with mine. The food came out very quickly. The salad was nice and fresh and had lots of great stuff on it. The dressing is wonderful. One of my favorite and quick places in Athens! The staff has always been really nice to me and the food is really fresh and great. The signature pasta is delish and the hummus appetizer is great too, if you get it with veggies ask for double the veggies just a tip. My favorite thing they have is their chicken, so much flavor! The only downside is the area has horrible parking and sometimes the celery in the hummus appetizer is a little bit wilty, but that's only happened once. Raw like really raw and wow the guy handling the complaining is offering two pieces of beef lol really? I mean guys if it's not pleasant tasting and raw go ahead and take it off . Came here during opening week and I have to say, I'm impressed. The food was excellent, price was comparable, atmosphere was nice and clean, and the speed was incredible despite the long line to the counter. My friends and I split hummus and taziki dip to start (~$5 each), with baked and soft pita. I think the soft pita was better (warm, amazing), and both the dips were tasty. I love taziki (cucumber-yogurt) and this one was perfect. The hummus was creamy and had some extra flavor in there (maybe roasted red pepper?). Would get them again. I had to get a gyro, and I opted for lamb and Skordalia (a thick sauce made from garlic and pita that tastes like gravy) which was an excellent choice. Again, the pita is fantastically thick and soft, and the lamb was so juicy. Veggies inside were perfectly cooked and the combination was an incredible flavor. They have a variety of side options, but I asked for Greek salad (perfect accompaniment) and they have it to me for an extra $1.50. It was huge and perfect - highly recommend that if you want a salad. My friends said the grilled veggies were good and the tomato/cucumber salad was nice but had way too many onions. It was also weird that they gave ruffles potato chips...I'd rather get a handful of pita or olives instead. The staff was super helpful and friendly, and very attentive after we sat down (you order at the counter). Overall it's worth giving it a try and I'll be interested to see if the quality stays this good over time. I'll definitely be back. I fondly remembered attending an event at UGA where food was catered from this Taziki's (based on the menu I am thinking I had the grilled chicken roll-ups) and finally had the chance to go to the restaurant. I had high expectations and ordered a lamb gyro, which was DELICIOUS! However, I was disappointed with the roasted new potatoes because they were too salty. That won't discourage me from coming back since I have otherwise enjoyed all the food I've had from here, but I may not get that "healthy side" again. read more

I've been coming to Athens a ton in the last few months but have noticed a scarce supply of healthy food options. My GF told me she tried Taziki's and was raving about how good it was so I decided to try since I have a love for quality Greek fair done right. Well, Taziki's did not disappoint! Man was our meal on point! The entire atmosphere feel authentic and genuine and their dishes were unique outside of just being "Greek", which shows me they are not just trying to be your run of the mill joint. Everything we had down to the baclava was STELLAR and made me wanting more. Taziki's is a good, healthy option. For me, a really solid lunch, and not too terribly priced. In Athens, there aren't a ton of options for Greek food, which is a shame for a city named ATHENS. So, Taziki's definitely fills a gap. Don't get me wrong, the food here is pretty good. As to authenticity, my thinking is that anything stateside should make you want to go to the Mediterranean. While it is a chain, they tend to address the chain feeling in a rather interesting way. They feature local artist's work on their walls and the staff has been really kind. This is a fast-casual option that has americanized greek food. Come in expecting fast, good food (this is not an amazing authentic greek restaurant). The first time: we had lunch catered to our school event. Everything arrived hot and ready to be devoured. Salad: The greek salad dressing was perfect - just the way I like it. If i could buy a bottle for home - I would in a heartbeat. Sandwich: Grilled chicken sandwich is a great, quick option for eating on the go. To me, it seemed that the place had minimal interaction with the employees yet, they were very interested in us enjoying our meal. Updated review below! A manager immediately messaged me offering to refund me to get another chance. It did not feel pressuring at all- very authentic. That really shows how on it and caring they are. They pay attention to detail and look after the customer. I respect this company way more now. Went back and got the salmon and potatoes. Delicious! Tasted so fresh and came out quickly. Wish I could give this place a higher rating but alas, the food wasn't excellent. And the employees were sweet, but not excellent. Started with the hummus and veggies. Rather than letting me know the were no good hummus veggies, we got a plate of hummus with tomatoes, cucumber and some gross/ soggy squash. I asked them for some carrots and they were like "oh yeah. We're out of carrots and celery. Want more tomatoes?" I said "no" and they kindly brought some pita. The point of me getting veggies was to get veggies. Oh well. Pita is good. Salad is pretty good, too. I got the chicken and it was delish. The potatoes were great, too. My friends loved the pork.
