We've been waiting a long time for eastern Mediterranean food, and this place was well worth it! The menu isn't huge, it covers Egyptian versions of dishes rather than including Greek and Turkish specialties. Good choice, because it means they stay focused on what they do best. We tried a couple appetizers/sides: hummus, which was creamy with enough texture to signal home-made and a nutty touch of sesame; muhammrah a "red pepper and walnut dip" that was new to us; falafel, with a thin, crunchy crust surrounding an almost fluffy, flavor-packed inside; all served with thin-but-flavorful pita. Excellent! And yes we took the leftovers home! For mains, my wife tried the gyro combo, a pita wrapped around lamb gyro (an ample amount) and light cucumber salad, with seasoned French fries. My main was their steak shawarma, wrapped in a pita, with a bit of the cucumber salad. We always share bits of each other's order, so I'm sure of saying these folks know what they're doing! Both mains were excellent as well. Shawarma was new for both us, but a a hit we will be ordering again. By the time we finished this lot, we definitely weren't hungry, but we talked ourselves into trying a dessert with coffee. The owner delighted us by suggesting we share three generous pieces of their specialties, which aren't on their website menu, but are enticingly arrayed in a display case. The owner also offered Turkish style coffee--something I had learned to make at home many years ago but have missed ever since. Delicious stuff! If you need an afternoon pick-me-up, this is the place--just be sure to order it with medium sugar and let the coffee grounds settle for a minute or two! Not experience with authentic Turkish-style coffee? Chat with the owner about it, he knows his stuff. A heads-up about the cafe itself: this is an everyday, neighborhood eatery, great for lunch or a quick dinner. It's like something transported from an east-Mediterranean city neighborhood, comfortable, unpretentious, and friendly. Menu is ok but the electronic one moves too fast to read and make a decision. We had to use the pad on wall to look at menu. Sombosas were good for appetizer. The biggest complaint I have is the lack of flavor and spices. Hummus was thick with no flavor and tahini was bland. Both of those need garlic and lots of lemon. The chicken kabobs were ok. A little bland. Rice ok but again, bland. I asked for lemon and they don't have any. My dad was Egyptian and I grew up eating this food. Overall, I wouldn't go back. Mediterranean Breeze in Gainesville is much better. This place would be a lot better if they added spices and lemon. We loved the cool mural of the pyramids and sphinx. We went there a couple months ago, and the food was great. We couldn't wait to go back. Two weeks ago, we went back and ordered two meals for take out. When we got home and unwrapped the meal, we couldn't believe how small the Portions were. There were a couple of dried out pieces of gyro meat and two small pieces of rotten tomatoes. Even though we told them that we wanted the sauces on the side, there was an over abundance of sauce over the pitiful meat. I guess they figured that we wouldn't realize the lack of meat if there was enough sauce. We tried calling, but they were closed. The next time we went to Walmart, we stopped by to tell them. Even though it was a prime time for business, the owner was not there. We spoke to the manager at the time and explained how small and dried out the meals were. She said that she knew for sure that we didn't get a meal like that. We find this totally impossible since more than three had passed. When we told her that, she got very nasty and rude. We tried to call and speak to the owner two times and both times we were told that she was not there. Don't waste your time and money, it is not worth your time and money. Delicious!! My family and I were passing through and just happened upon this place. I had the chicken shawarma in a pita and loved it. I had it with the tahini sauce. My wife had the falafel sandwich in a pita. She enjoyed it and said the hummus was the best she ever had! My daughter thought her steak shawarma was very good. She also got the cheese sambosa side and wanted many more because they were so cheesy and tasty. It was a triangular item filled with creamy warm cheese in a phyllo dough type texture. Items are homemade and we wish this restaurant was near where we lived. We would be regulars. read more

Look, if your expectation for this place is a 5 star meal I hate to burst your bubble, this isn't it. Don't get this confused with that high dollar Greek food you once had. What makes this place so special is its home style feel, like the guy in kitchen is family and he wants to feed you while you're visiting. Because honestly it always sucks thinking " is this food really worth how much they're asking". You'll be pleasantly surprised knowing that a meal here is the same price of Zaxby's Boneless Wings and Things. (The pic included with this review is what me & my friend got for $40 bucks) That's the kind of thing that makes what you eat so healing. Well, I went with my family for the first time to Pharaohs Feast. The food was very good, the service was awesome. However, after getting the Chicken Shawarma Plate the Pita was stale and breaking off and there was very little chicken in side. The the staff and manager noticed I was unhappy with my order and insisted to make it right. The Owner came over and noticed the amount of meat I had and said I will make you another sandwich . . . You guessed it, Bam "Right on Point" just as I imaged. He was very thoughtful and cared very much about our experience in his family restaurant and took my suggestions to heart, More Meat! New small family business in Dahlonega!!! All of the shawarma wraps were delicious, we got a platter that had the chicken, steak, and falafel! I could eat that chicken every day. While we were waiting on our to-go order the owner took very good care of us. He gave us each a couple samples and I will definitely be ordering their saffron rice next time! They were so kind. I also got their Dubai chocolate bar, iced caramel coffee, and baklava... so so so good. Their prices are amazing and all around they are very easy to love! It's listed on the menu for the shawarma platter to come with their fries and samosas as well, but I think it was accidentally missed for our order. Nonetheless we did have plenty of food because I really wanted to try a few things for my first visit! I got an iced coffee but again the owner gave me a free fresh hot coffee as well. I will say I went to a coffee shop earlier that left me unsatisfied, and Pharaoh's Feast coffee saved me! Both hot and iced were very good, their coffee was hitting its notes I believe the menu said it's Colombia. All together (including the missing sides(and 20% tip)) was $50. I'll be back! Very interested in trying their green tea +flavors as well as the strawberry chocolate cup. read more

I had the Gyro Combo and was very pleased with the quality and freshness of my meal. The meat and pita bread were fresh and flavorful. In fact, I think the pita may have been house made! I tried one of their one bite kefka dough filled treats and now I'm craving more. Baklava in 2 different nut flavors were extremely tempting, too. Definitely a diet breaker kind of place. We tried this new restaurant last night and we're less than impressed. We ordered 2 of the Lamb Gyros and what we were served did not make the grade. I counted 4 small chunks of Lamb in mine which was cold. The Pita bread wrap was again cold and at minimum 3 days old. I ordered a side of Taziki Sauce, and the yogurt was so watery it was a liquid. I make a habit of trying every restaurant at least twice and I will try again in 6 months if they make it read more

We were so pleased to see this restaurant open up in Dahlonega. The food on our first visit today was superb, and the staff was friendly and very accommodating. The restaurant was nicely decorated and impeccably clean. My wife had the chicken shawarma wrap with a fresh side salad, and I had the gyro wrap. The meat was fantastic with the tahini sauce. To top it off we shared a two-pack of baklava; one was the typically flavored and the second was a chocolate flavored baklava in the shape of a mini canoli. It was wonderful to have a great Mediterranean meal so close to home in Dahlonega and we certainly encourage others to go eat there. read more

Wonderful Food and Amazing Service. The sweet girl behind the counter, offered to let me try the chicken and the steak before I placed my order. The Shawarma Chicken and the cheese filled sambosa were both fantastic! We also enjoyed the Falafel! Everything was very fresh! For dessert, I split a large piece of Baklava with my husband. We were very disappointed in the food at Pharaoh's Feast. We ordered the Gyros and they were nothing like any Gyro we've ever had and nothing like the pictures they have posted. We got what I'd describe as a small burrito...very bland meat, very little veggies and no sauce. No flavor at all. I realize this place is new but the problem didn't seem to be that they were that busy and the owner/manager was there...so quality should have been up to par. We met two other couples there and we all agreed that none of us will go back. read more
