Kabuki Cafe is located on the edge of the Japan Pavilion, next to the five story pagoda in Disney Epcot. They are a walk up kiosk, serving snacks and sweet treats. I always order their Kakigori which is an authentic Japanese shaved ice. On this visit, I definitely overshot and got a large as opposed to a regular sized sweet treat. I got two flavors, Blue Hawaii and strawberry with an added topping of sweet milk. It was extremely refreshing but I kid you not I was not expecting this to feed a large family! It was gigantic and a regular sized shaved ice would've hit the spot haha! read more

A bit disappointed during my visit here. Stopped here shortly after opening. They didn't have any sushi and said they were out. My boyfriend ended up getting Nigori Sake, which he stated he did enjoy. He said it was also unfiltered. I'm still mad about no sushi. read more

It was a very hot day in EPCOT when I tried a strawberries and cream with sweet cream and IT WAS SO GOOD. I never thought I'd like something like this, but it was perfectly refreshing and delicious! Kabuki Cafe was a let down for me. There was a long line and usually thats a good sign that it could be worth it. I ordered the rainbow Kakigori with the sweet milk topping. The workers were friendly and fast so waiting didn't take forever. The snow cone itself was not soft at all.. sooo hard and crunchy plus all the flavor ended up going down to the bottom. Just not for me, but it was nice to try something new. read more

A fun stand with a great variety of snacks and drinks in Epcot's Japan! It was a very hot day, and the line was quite long but moved quickly. I ordered the melon kakigori with "sweet milk" or condensed milk on top. The flavor of the melon with the condensed milk was delicious, and it was the perfect treat to cool me down. However, I would not expect traditional kakigori. The texture of the ice was of a typical snow cone-- hard and quite crunchy compared to a fluffy and soft ice. The portion was great; it was shared amongst three of us and it was still a lot. read more

It's not real traditional kakigori - they literally use snow cone machine ice and put the sweet cream sauce on top of it. It's course / granulated ice pieces rather than the light / fluffy (melt in your mouth) ice like you get in Animal Kingdom. Don't waist your time & money unless you like snow cone ice. read more

Cute little shaved ice stand located in Epcot's Japan! I was craving something cold and refreshing for a hot day, so this was perfect. I got the Kakigōri with Sweet Milk Topping, which was the rainbow shaved ice, with flavors strawberry, melon, cherry, tangerine and blue raspberry, and topped with condensed milk. I was actually disappointed with the shaved ice consistency, since it was super crunchy with huge ice chunks, and I had to chew a lot of part of it. However the flavors were delicious, the amount of the condensed milk was generous, and the workers were so sweet! The portion is pretty big, so if you're not super hungry I recommend sharing it with someone. They also had alcoholic versions available with infused Sake. If you like your shaved ice on the softer, melt-in-your-mouth side, then it'll probably be a skip. However if you're looking for a refreshing treat on a hot day, then this is the place to be! read more

I really enjoyed the flavor of the melon option. Strawberry was great too! What fell flat for me was the ice texture. It didn't real feel any different than traditional snow cones so I was not super impressed. The flavor drains from the snow cone pretty quickly! After a few minutes, I had no more syrup in the top layer of ice so I ended up throwing it away. The bottom (cup) had all the flavor and it was good! A solid cool treat! But felt no different than a normal snow cone. read more

I ordered the cold sake and iced matcha latte here. The matcha latte came with 3 pumps of vanilla syrup and you can ask for it to be less sweet. I kept it as is and didn't think the drink was too sweet. It tasted better than Starbucks's matcha lattes but the bar is still low. The matcha flavor is light and not grassy. The drink is milky overall. The matcha powder isn't well sifted and there's a bunch of powder clumps everywhere. If you're craving or desperate for matcha and don't want Starbucks, this is the place to go. I don't recommend this otherwise. Go try other Epcot foods! read more

Yet another small walk up stand to get a sweet treat. The Kabuki Cafe has some of the best shaved ice. They offer drinks as well, but on a hot day like today we chose the cherry and blue raspberry shaved ice. Service was ok, but the shaved ice was the star of the show. Not too hard and easy to dig in with a spoon. It didn't melt too fast and we were able to sit and enjoy it while watching a show. It was flavorful and not messy at all. read more

Located in the Japanese area within Epcot is Kabuki Cafe. I was drawn to it by the shaved ice on display. Walking around in 95 degree heat, it's hard to bear shaved ice. Perhaps it was the heat, but shaved ice never tasted so good. We got the rainbow, which is a mix of melon and strawberry, and a cherry with sweet milk topping, I would recommend getting the milk topping as it adds a creaminess to the sugar. read more

After lunch at Epcot, we walked around several of the other pavilions, checking out the grocery store in Japan and getting a rainbow kaki gori at one of the stands nearby. The kaki gori is shaved ice with Strawberry, Cherry, Melon, and Tangerine. Add some sweet condensed milk on top to make it extra delicious. You will probably need help to finish this one, but it's a Disney favorite treat, so make sure you get one before you leave the park. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it's the perfect drink on a hot day! read more

We were looking for something to quench our thirst. We found just the item in Japan Pavilion. Here at Kabuki Café, the staffs with sweet smiles greeted us, and yes, they were Japanese! They offer some snacks like edamame, sushi, and some Japanese beer & sake! We wanted one of their kakigori, and while struggling to pick one, one of the female staff told us we can get "rainbow" that comes with three of the most popular flavors. Sold! We got Rainbow Kakigori. It was a good size, especially for the cheap price tag. Tall and packed, and I mean, really packed. We didn't realize how tightly they packed the ice until we started to "try" to eat it... We had to jam our plastic spoon into it a few time to get a piece, but if we were not too careful, it will just fly into the air with the force! I wish if they didn't pack the ice so much... Otherwise, it was refreshing and tasty. After we were already eating them, I realized I could've have gotten the "sweet milk topping" which is like a drizzle of condensed milk on top for another $1. Well, it was less sweet and more refreshing without it, so I was fine with that. read more

This is a pre-COVID-19 review. This is a snow cone, not real kakigori. I don't like eating large chunks of ice when I am promised the small flakes of snow like real kakigori. Maybe my standards are too high but I can't support calling these snow cones kakigori because they aren't even close to the real thing. The flavors were good. The strawberry was not the best flavor and it was not close to the strawberry flavoring they have in Japan. The mandarin was the best and it actually tasted like a mandarin orange. The sweet milk on the top is nice, but I don't know if it's worth the upcharge. Overall if you want a snow cone, then this is the place for you. If you want authentic kakigori, this is disappointing. read more

If you're in the Japan Pavilion and need a light snack, Kabuki Cafe may fit what you're after. It's a kiosk in World Showcase serving up Kakigori (Japanese shaved ice) in 6 flavors, a few sushi rolls (California, Tuna & Shrimp and Crab & Veggies), Edamame, then some alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The specialty libations at Kabuki Cafe are surely the Sake Mists! They come in Blood Orange, Coconut Pineapple & Blackberry alcoholic shaved ices. The people working at Kabuki Cafe are always super nice and I think it's one of the cheapest places to grab a snack at Disney World. Kakigori will only run you $4 for a huge & colorful treat! And as far as snacks go, it's fairly healthy...? I mean, it's just ice with some flavoring so long as you don't add the condensed milk, you're golden! If you want to adult it up, add some sake for an additional $5. I'm all about this cute stand in Japan! read more

I was looking for a sweet treat, so the Japanese frozen ice was an appealing option. This eatery is in a small building right in front of where the Japanese drummers perform. I recommend grabbing a snack or drink and sitting down to listen to music. There is a good selection of frozen ice to pick from, flavors include rainbow, strawberry, melon, tangerine and blue raspberry. I paid $4 plus tax for my ice. Portion size was quite generous and would be ideal for two people to split. They offer price boozy drinks like beer, sake and wine. I see they have a Sake Mist which is an alcoholic shaved ice, that definitely sounds intriguing, but pricey at $9. There are also a few sushi options on the menu. I had strawberry ice and I'd give it a 3 out of 5. I had recently had a frozen ice outside of Disney that was the BOMB, this one was just average. read more

You must ask for condensed milk which is a dollar extra, but worth every penny. They also sell saki shaved ice which I didn't try. read more

The Frozen Kirin is an awesome twist to your traditional beer. It's super cold with some yummy froth on top, making it the perfect cocktail to deal with the Orlando heat and humidity. My boyfriend wanted to try each Country's signature drink and this was first on the list. It's definitely worth trying if you're a fan of yummy beverages. read more

Lots of cool refreshments and snacks. Kabuki Cafe is not a cafe, per se, but a small kiosk located in the Japan Pavilion of Epcot. Here, you will find Kakigōri, which is Japanese shaved ice. The available flavors are Rainbow, Strawberry, Melon, Cherry, or Tangerine. It's decently priced at $4, and for a dollar more, you can add a sweet milk topping. I highly recommend it with the sweet milk. Shaved ice is a great dessert option to cool down as you walk through the Pavilion. They also sell a lot of alcoholic beverages. Some of the options I saw were Sapporo, Asahi, Kirin, plum wine, and other sake drinks. Prices range from $6 to $13. You will also find overpriced Dasani water ($3), hot chocolate, edamame (soybeans), Ramune, and sodas. Another interesting option is sushi, they offer either California rolls (Avocado, Cucumber, Crab, Mayonnaise, Smelt Roe Rolled in Sushi Rice), HAKO Sushi ("Box Style" Salmon, Tuna and Shrimp), or a combination (Two pieces of California Roll with Salmon and Shrimp Hako-Sushi) for around $5 a box. read more

Does not live up to typical Disney standards of service. We were here at 3pm on 1/27/2023. We made our drink order and asked if we could also have a cup of ice and was flatly refused, though our previous requests for a cup of ice at this exact location was cheerfully accommodated. The server/cashier was very cold and abrupt throughout our interaction. I don't really care about a cup of ice and would have paid for it if that's the issue. Kabuki looked like a small concession stand.I was just looking for some small bite.I found 3 pieces of nigiri sushi for $5.It was okay.Here was a cheap and small casual dining.I checked other reviews,it seems that Kabuki has a great kakigori ice.It will be delicious in summer.I visited in January.it was bit cold.I will try next time. read more

I literally have gone here three times due to the fact that the shaved ice is so delicious. It is the best shaved ice I've ever had in my entire life. I even had it when it was only 75-80° outside so I know that it wasn't due to me being delusional from being too hot. You definitely need to get it with the sweetened condensed milk for the extra $1. It is so worth it!!! Unfortunately, it is not included in the Disney Dining Plan (DDP) and you have to pay extra for it even if you use a snack credit. There is rarely a line at this place and I don't know why. People are crazy if they go to Epcot and don't have this. The ladies are always super friendly and we get our shaved ice so fast. It's like they can read my mind. I could literally eat this every day and never tire of it. My favorite flavor is melon! Enjoy!!! read more

Kabuki Cafe is located in Epcot (one of the four parks in Disneyworld) as part of Japan. We ordered the Rainbow Shaved Ice, which came in three different flavors: Strawberry, Orange, and Green Apple. It was a bit pricey, but you are in Disneyworld after all... Really refreshing and flavorful though. It made the walk just a little bit better as you're walking through the different countries in Epcot. :) read more

Your run of the mill food stand in Epcot. They serve awesome shaved ice in several flavors. Try them with sweetened condensed milk, you will not be sorry! I enjoyed my blood orange sake flavor, they aren't stingy with the syrup. They also serve sushi here, its in a convenient to go container for a quick snack. This is a treat, especially on hot summer days. Epcot visitors shouldn't pass this up. read more

This place is a must-try if you're passing by the Japan Pavilion on a hot sunny day. I had the rainbow shaved ice which consists of strawberry, tangerine, and melon. It was very refreshing and I enjoyed all three flavors, though melon was definitely my favorite. Price-wise, it'll cost you $3.75 (plus an additional $1 for their condensed milk topping), which is an absolute steal for theme park food. My only complaint is that there wasn't enough condensed milk for the mountain of the shaved ice. read more

I love anywhere that serves good Japanese food, and here it is counter service to boot. If you cannot get a table at the sit down Mitsukoshi restaurant, but really want Japanese food; eat here. It is less pricey and hardly any wait. They have udon, teriyaki, sushi, katsu, and combo plates. I have always enjoyed eating here and will continue to dine here whenever I go to EPCOT. read more

If there's one reason to love Epcot, aside from finally realizing that education is cool and it doesn't have to always be about some stupid Princess castle or animal kingdom, it's for the food. Yes, the food. Epcot is amazing when it comes to various food treats from literally around the world. You can go get your sausage from the Germany-land, though be careful they don't invade the Poland Mover.... Okay, you get the point. The food selection in all these little representations of ethnic homelands is amazing. But Kabuki Cafe is among one of the few places in America that you can get and enjoy something that is truly amazing. A Frozen Kirin draft beer. Yes, it's beer but in a sort of frozen treat. Much like the other Disney deliciousness called a Pineapple Whip. Same thing. It's frozen Kirin with a topping of delicious frozen goodness of beer. Yeah, it's kept cold with more colder beer. What will science think of next?! As long as they're looking out for you in the humid wall of heat that is Orlando weather, I'm a-okay with it. The drink/frozen treat runs you $8, which is pretty damn cheap for Disney in-park prices for food. Try it, you'll love it! read more

I booked through Resy for a 7:30 reservation, but came quite early around 6:45. Thankfully, they were still able to seat me at the sushi bar. I had to go with the usual old fashioned for my drink (16 dollars). It was a generous pour, and just had the right amount of strength to let me bob my head to the dancing lounge music. For my appetizer, I tried the tuna crudo. It was expertly prepared, and the tuna was quite fresh. I did enjoy the toppings and sauces too, but wish the sauce had a bit more flavor. For my entree, the Kasai don had various of different fish that was nicely presented. All the fish were fresh enough, but I was expecting the melt in your mouth tenderness from the fish, and the umami from the rice. While it was still good, it just didn't have the vibe from the previous years. I was expecting the quality to be close to Kadance or Juju, but it was more equivalent to Seito or Dragonfly. It was however, generous in portions, in which I was a bit too stuffed to finish the rice. For dessert, I wanted to do the chocolate lava cake, but I thought it would be too heavy for me. So instead, I took the green tea creme brulee. It was much lighter and had the right amount of earthy flavor. It also has various fruits to enjoy too. The service was good and professional. My server was prompt and I saw lots of people cleaning up and clearing plates. The sushi chefs were very busy, so I didn't see any of them engaging with the customers. The vibe is still upscale and the music makes the beat control my body. Parking was thankfully easy, but free valet was available too. The cost of the magical dining increased to 60 dollars for this restaurant, so it was definitely a splurge. While the quantity matches the cost, I wish the sushi fish melted in my mouth and had ninjas riding on my taste buds. I guess I was just in more stubborn mood and my expectations set too high. It was still an enjoyable dinner, and I am definitely coming again. And I am so happy that they participate in Resy benefits with my credit card, so American Express took care with almost half of the costs. Next time, I may splurge more with the omakase options, and maybe my taste buds will ride off to bliss. Overall: B+ (still a good and fun restaurant).

It looked like noodles, but had a nice small crunch after every bite. My second course was nigiri sushi, which included salmon, tuna, and yellowtail. All of them were nice and fresh, and most of them melted in my mouth as well. Adding the house made soy sauce added the umami needed. The third course was the volcano roll, which was hemachi, bacon, jalapeno, and avocado in the bottom, with scallops and imitation crab on top. It was very enjoyable, especially the scallops and fish. The food was quite filling as well. Thankfully I still had room for dessert, and the ube flan was sinfully good. It tasted like an authentic flan with the ube fusion. It was better than the flan at some Mexican restaurants. The service was professional and more attentive than the last time I visited. It was pretty quick as well. The vibe still look chic and upscale. Definitely worthy of the three diamonds it got from AAA. Parking is still free and easy at the complex. Outdoor seating was available and has great views of the fountains. I am so happy that I finally got an excellent magical dining experience for 2026. I guess third time was the charm. The kids meals are very picky eater friendly - the cute bento boxes had an assortment of chicken and fruit that the kids loved. You'll enjoy everything here. From the soft buttery sushi to the Japanese pancake (often referred to as Japanese pizza). The environment is collected, calm, and relaxing. The service was genuine and welcoming, and they stay very on top of refilling drinks and clearing used plates. They also have great recommendations if you have a difficult time deciding your meal choices. The environment in Shiki-Sai is a noticeable contrast to the sister restaurant Teppan Edo (which offers hibachi) across the hall. While Shiki-Sai was open, peaceful, and inviting, Teppan Edo was quite noisy, cramped, and the air felt warm. You can notice these differences walking past the restaurant to the shared bathrooms at the end of the building. As the occasion was to celebrate a birthday, we felt we had made the right choice. I have visited nearly all of Epcot's restaurants, and this ranks in my top 3! Will definitely visit again and again.

On one of Orlando's hottest days this year, we chose EPCOT. As the heat began to break down our party's will to live, we began to think of lunch. But what to have in this theme park filled with culinary delights? The British Pub was booked out. German sausages and American barbeque were too heavy for the weather. As the heat began to turn tired and hungry into exhausted and hangry, we took the next opportunity we happened upon and inquired at the check-in desk in Japan. Moments later, we were whisked down a long hallway of sub-divided Japanese shoji-clad (but probably not really) rooms and seated for our lunch. The polite and attentive staff took drink and appetizer orders. After quickly consuming ice-cold water and a few sips of the always-delightful Sapporo, we were presented with ginger-dressed salads and my takoyaki appetizer. Now just let me take a moment. Takoyaki is octopus dumpling. I first came upon this amazing food while living in Hawaii and I was so excited to see it on this menu. And it totally holds up! Don't recoil at the idea of eating octopus. I've had straight-up grilled octopus before, and it's quite delicious, but in dumpling form with its crispy outer bread crust and creamy filling, it is MAGICAL. If I had one criticism, it's that there's not a lot of octopus in each dumpling, maybe a small piece or two. What I do wonder is whether that's a cost-savings approach, or if it's meant to broaden the appeal for the adventurous eater to proudly proclaim their brave love of octopus. Either way, a bit more octopus would be welcome! Around this same time our chef entered and began to prepare the main meal, starting with delicious grilled vegetables and udon noodles. After a hot day in the park, the freshly-cooked veg was hugely restorative (as was the aforementioned salad). Most of our party ordered the steak and chicken combo, which was an enormous amount of food, with probably 3/4 of a pound of meat. It's a lot of food. And, of course, super delicious. Our chef was fun and lively, though I don't really care much for the showy aspect of American teppanyaki (I researched this once and learned that teppan in Japan is a very serious, formal meal. I'm not surprised to learn the American interpretation is nowhere near authentic). Desserts are offered, comprising multiple matcha choices which we didn't indulge, due to the volume of food in the preceding courses. This is not an inexpensive experience. But fresh-cooked real food in a theme park is hard to come by, and taking the time to experience an actual meal over the course of an hour or two was a much-needed break. I would also suggest that, taking my logic one step further, investing in a restful meal may actually encourage you to spend more time in the park than you might otherwise, perhaps improving its overall value.

Happy 4th of July!…read more For this 4th of July review/post, I thought what better tribute to celebrate America's 250th than with a review of the Regal Eagle Smokehouse in the American Pavilion at EPCOT. NOTES 1. Our visit to WDW and EPCOT was in November 2025. During this trip to WDW, my partner and I made it a point to try different places and foods that we didn't experience on a previous trip. 2. There is outdoor and indoor seating available. We chose indoors because it was a bit hot on the days we visited (thought the mornings were very cool). Our 1st visit was unplanned. We were walking by and decided to do a mobile order since we wanted a snack. We chose the Beef Brisket Sandwich with fries. So good! Definitely shareable if you're not too hungry. I thought the indoor seating was very, very spacious, and we didn't have any difficulty finding a place to sit . The sandwich also came with a generous portion of fries. We returned 2 days later since we liked the food so much. We shared the BBQ platter which came with pork ribs, smoked pork butt, and smoked sausage; also served with corn bread and a choice of a side (french fries, of course!). The platter was more than enough food for us both, and we enjoyed the ribs the most. Honourable mention goes to the sausage and fries, as well as the bbq sauce. There are 4 dispensers in the rear of the restaurant. We just opted for the classic bbq sauce. BOTTOM LINE Great meal options at the Regal Eagle Smokehouse in the American Pavilion at EPCOT.

The dining area is spacious, comfortable, and a great spot to sit down and enjoy some AC on a hot day. The mac and cheese was excellent: creamy, flavorful, and easily one of the highlights of the meal. The French fries were also surprisingly good and paired well with everything else. I ordered the Texas beef brisket sandwich, which was tasty and had plenty of flavor. The only thing I would do differently next time is ask for the sauce on the side. It was a little heavier than I prefer, and I think having more control over the amount would make the sandwich even better. Overall, the food is solid, the portions are generous, and it's a great option when you need a break from the crowds. Definitely worth a visit if you're spending the day in Epcot.

The college program students provide astonishingly great service in the beautiful dining room. There is also the option for hibachi here and has a Disney twist to the show.
