I've been to Sake Bar Sushi in Old Town a few times now, and overall I'd probably give it around a 6.5/10 The sushi itself is decent, some rolls are genuinely really good- which is honestly the main reason I kept giving it another shot. But every visit, the biggest issue has been the service. The servers come across genuinely rude and seem way more focused on their regular patrons while everyone else gets treated like an afterthought. It creates a really unwelcoming atmosphere that takes away from the experience. They also respond cruelly. And if there's a game on, good luck. The place gets insanely loud, people are yelling across the restaurant, and the patrons can be obnoxious enough that it's hard to even enjoy dinner or hold a conversation. Ventured in here for some dinner and were greeted right away. The waiter took our drink order and when we found out they do Saki Bombs at the tables we started with that. I ordered the fried chicken wings (sweet chili) and their grilled steak salad. The wife ordered their Korean buigogi, avocado salad and crab rangoons. I don't recall what the other two adults or 5 year old ordered and the 14 month old was going to eat items from our plates. The chicken wings were okay+ and the steak salad was just okay, neither of which I would say I would want to return for. My wife liked both of her selections and would give her meal selection a 4 to 5 star, but this is my account / review and they get 3 - as it was just okay. If anything got under my skin it was getting boned for an automatic 21% gratuity added to the bill. We not only had the bills split between my wife and I and my son / DIL, but they apparently looked at the aforementioned 2 very young children as making it a total seating of 6; which generated the built in "service charge" bullshit. If you find yourselves in the same predicament I suggest you sit and separate adjoining tables to converse (if required). It would not be my first choice, but I would return with others and select other items from the menu (maybe try their sushi that seems to get rave reviews). read more

What an amazing deal for happy hour and their regular prices looked very reasonable! All the food was delicious and a great deal. I spent around $30 and had enough food for dinner, and lunch and dinner the day after as well. It was packed when we arrived at 8pm, but it died down as we were dining. The staff was efficient and friendly. They even moved us to another (larger) table after noting the amount of food we had ordered. The sushi was delicious for $4 each roll. Sakeba is not very close to our home so we usually make a pilgrimage there over the holidays with our adult children.... The food is very delicious and fairly priced. Sushi is the bomb. The soups and noodle dishes are quite amazing as well. Wonton soup (something I don't typically order) has a nice fragrant broth and the wonton itself has the thinner texture ... not the thick tasteless wonton you typically find in Florida. read more

We ordered udon soup, pho and pad thai. All uniquely different noodles which I thought would be a fair assessment. Now I didn't take photos since it was ubered to me and it would look pretty boring to be honest but it was packaged perfectly separating broth from the noodles to ensure it tasted its best. Udon was wonderful. The only thing I could say is this one need just a bit more flavor to the broth. I really loved the pho as it had the perfect amount of spice with jalapeño slices and flavor. Now the pad thai is what I was really nervous about because when you get bad pad thai, it's BAD. I am happy to say this had the PERFECT flavor. Was looking for Sushi and found this place. This is located at the Old Town Orlando. You won't see the place by driving around the parking lot. You'd actually have to park first then walk into the inner part of the center. Sakeba is not that big. Has maybe 10/12 tables if that. But there's bar seating also. When we came there were no tables available but we only waited 10 minutes. The host was pretty nice to let know when our table was ready. The food/Sushi was amazing! Except I don't like cream cheese in my Sushi, as some of them had some in it. But let me me tell you we ordered the Sushi combo not know it was going to be a lot! So remember, if you do you might not want to order anything else. I was amaze by the price. Great price for the amount of sushi you get. I ordered Nigiri Mackerel as well which is a favorite. It did not disappoint! All the waitresses were very friendly and attentive. The only issues we had was the tables in the center were too close to each other. There was a rowdy group behind us and they kept hitting the back of our chairs. And they were super loud. After perusing the stores in Old Town Kissimmee, Sakeba was the perfect place to have lunch (and a cold drink). I started with Sapporo then moved on to Sake. What a big sake selection! I tried the sweet sake flight, it was light and fruity. My favorite was the lychee flavor. The menu has something for everyone; Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Korean, Vietnamese and even Kid's Meals. I decided on the Sashimi Salad, it was very fresh and had a tangy savory dressing. My husband ordered the Sesame Chicken, he said it was good. Our server was courteous and attentive. Atmosphere is casual, I felt like I could hangout here all day. And finally, just a few tips. TIP 1: Check-in on Yelp to get 15% off your food order. TIP 2: There are 3 Sakeba locations. We were meeting people here for lunch but they ended up at the other restaurant called Sakeba Sushi & Grill (which 1.5 miles away) instead of Sakeba Asian Pub & Grill. We started at the location up the road. They were short handed and backed up on service. So we found the second location in Old Town. We were seated immediately and our water came out as we sat. We scanned the drink I chose the Kirin light. It was very good- lite corona. Since it was Mother's Day we ordered a combo meal if ordered at a certain time you can get a discount. I'm trying to ask for directions to the place. He just keeps mumbling irrelevant stuff, so I have to cancel my order because he cannot simply tell me how to get to his restaurant. Why would they have someone who does not speak clearly, answering the phones? Then he hangs up on me not because I said I have to cancel my order because I kept saying I don't understand what hes saying.
