Recently ate lunch here and shortly after I started experiencing Scombroid Fish Poisoning symptoms. I called the restaurant with the intention of just letting them know to keep other guests safe. After speaking with the manager I decided I was going to have to write this. I spoke with the manager and asked her if she was familiar with Scombroid poisoning. She admitted she was not but proceeded to tell me that they are required to freeze the fish for 7 days before serving to kill parasites. I explained to her that it is not a parasite from raw fish it is from improper handling and may have even occurred before they received the fish. I let her know that per the CDC freezing does not prevent scombroid poisoning. She argued with me and told me the health dept tells them to freeze it so it does. After that she proceeded to gaslight me and tell me I may have a cold...... My symptoms are rash, diarrhea, reddening and flushing of my face, neck, arms, and upper part of the body and legs, headache, difficulty swallowing, and heart palpitations... 40 mins after eating Raw Tuna... but sure maybe its a cold. I asked if I could have refund for the meal since the entire pill was $75. She told me no I have no proof besides you saying it. Go to the Dr. and then call me. Here is some information from the CDPH to help. How is scombroid fish poisoning diagnosed? There are no specific diagnostic tests for scombroid fish poisoning. Diagnosis is generally made based on symptoms and a recent history of eating fish a short time before symptoms appeared. If scombroid fish poisoning is suspected, laboratory testing may be done on any uneaten fish. What is scombroid fish poisoning? Scombroid fish poisoning, also known as histamine fish poisoning, is an allergic-type reaction that occurs within a few hours of eating fish contaminated with high levels of histamine. When certain types of fish are not properly refrigerated, bacteria in the fish can multiply, break down the flesh of the fish, and produce high amounts of histamine. Happy hour sushi and cocktails are a great value. The happy hour food choices were plentiful and our party of 4 adults and 2 children (who almost ate like adults) left the restaurant happily full. Great place to take sushi eating (and difficult to please) grandchildren. read more

Incredible food and service! My boyfriend and I went here for Saturday date night after the movies. We were expecting a wait being that it was Saturday night around 7pm and the place was packed. We were seated almost immediately with a server getting our drink order right away. All the staff was incredibly friendly and made sure to go over our order to ensure everything was correct. Our food came out very fast and the quality was incredible as always. After a long Marvel movie we just wanted a quick sushi dinner and we got exactly that. It was great, in and out within 45 minutes on a busy Saturday night! This type of service will definitely have us coming back! PS: I highly recommend the crab Rangoon! Best I ever had. read more

I had the krab rangoons, beef pad see eew, & the French kiss lemondrop martini. Everything was just ok. The biggest disappointment was the beef in my pad see eew - it had no flavor. Must make sure it's covered in sauce to taste anything. The sauce was a little too sweet for me, but perhaps not for others. Since everything was just ok, I don't think I'll be returning. My husband ordered online and picked up salmom rolls for me for dinner. I was so hungry I grabbed one to eat, then I smelled it and it smelled awful, and I then looked at it and it looked all rotten. We usually eat at Kabuki weekly in other locations and never saw anything like this when ordering salmon rolls. I am writing this because if I get sick tonight I want others to know so they are careful. I only ate 1 piece thank god, so I hope I don't get sick. Kabuki has the best Happy Hour around. They offer it everyday which is so rare. Plus you don't have to sit at the bar. I love that. It makes it easier when you go with the whole family or group of friends. Everything is $4-7 and there is food and drinks on the menu. Went with a group of 14 women and there were only a couple complaints. Most of the ladies enjoyed their meal. I unfortunately ordered their Panko crusted fish and was very disappointed. The first piece of fish I ate half of it but it was so dry I didn't want to finish it I took a bite out of the second piece of fish and besides getting a fish bone it tasted very fishy, not mild like yellowtail should be. I was hoping out of four pieces of fish I could get one that I could eat but after One bite of the third piece of fish I could tell it was going to be too dry. When I was asked if I wanted a box for it I told him no and explained that I did not enjoy the fish because of the taste and the dryness. She took my plate away, never offered a replacement and I paid full price for my meal. Lesson learned when you go to a sushi restaurant, it's the sushi not the fried fish. read more

My wife and I along with our friends went to Kabuki in Wellington, FL for their happy hour, 3:00 to 6:30 (3 1/2 hours) menu. We ordered 10 dishes and one round of drinks for the 4 of us. Although the presentation may not have been great, the food was! My wife and I ordered Kabuki's version of a Moscow Mule which was both large and contained an ample amount of vodka. Our total bill was ~$80 for the 4 of us, without tip. The service was excellent even with the restaurant being full. As for the ambiance, it was ok but clean.
