This place is a bit of a show...we have visited twice and unfortunately both times it was an experience...and not a pleasant one. The first time we came, they didn't have enough hibachi grills to accommodate walk-ins...so you need to make reservations but who would know that because at the time they didn't have a working website. We stayed and ate sushi in the dining room although what we really wanted was hibachi. The sushi was fine...they have one yummy roll called the BSC roll which is the only reason they're not getting 2 stars! The second time, we made reservations and when we arrived, they asked us to wait at the bar prior to being sat, which was fine except they only had one bartender for the entire restaurant so we sat there for ten minutes and didn't even get served waters! They need to have two bartenders during busy times, 1 to accommodate the restaurant and 1 to service the patrons at the bar. In all honesty, they are woefully understaffed. The hostesses were completely clueless when it came to answering the phones, seating us, and overall coordination of the dining room. And they do not have enough servers. A manager took our drink order because we had waited over 25 minutes for a drink at the bar and at the hibachi table. They need bussers to refill waters and clear the tables When it came to the hibachi, they don't have hoods on their grills which is bizarre! They charge you more for fried rice!! $2 for fried rice while they are using a grill that fries food?? But they do give you noodles as well so I guess that makes it better!!! The dining room itself is super noisy with all the people and the slamming of metal spatulas on metal grills but that is to be expected. Oh and they still use straws!!! Why??? read more

Won't be back, been a while since we been here prior to last night due to quality not improving. But last night we decided let's come here since it's been a while and recent reviews seemed like they were getting better. Unfortunately, we were rushed! Reservation was for 7:30 , we were 7 mins behind but we were sat down quickly. That's when the trouble began, our server was rushing really fast now mind you we didn't receive our orders until 8:10 "appetizers" she kept rushing about the time and I'm looking like "ok, yall close at 9" we wanted the udon noodles which they were out of like last time so we had to settle for hibachi meals, soup was fantastic and the salad, hibachi? Not so much.... Noodles were overcooked or possibly old, chicken was dry and we didn't receive yum yum sauce or the ginger sauce. 5 mins into eating she rushed to give the check. Terrible experience, won't be back! They didn't have anything tequila based on the drink menu but we asked anyway, she said she could do margaritas for us which was basically all juice. Last time we were here I was suggested by the same server to give a good review for a complimentary cheesecake which I did, even though the service and food was subpar. read more

Went for happy hour. There was no menu yet for happy hour because they are new. They said would be available in a few weeks. The mai Thai was all juice. I sat at the bar and although it was empty they took a long while to come serve. Let along their mixology was horrible. I would suggest you wait until all those people are either fired or trained better or at the very least real professionals are hired. I had spicy tuna roll and it didn't knock my socks off. Came here tonight for my Sons 13th Birthday. We have been here 3 or 4 times prior . Tonight was a little disappointing. We were a party of 9 with a 6:30 reservation. They seated us on time. They seemed to be a bit under staffed for a Saturday night. The server, Melissa, seemed to be a little overwhelmed, which showed by her never refilling any water glasses or asking if anyone needed a refill of any of the beverages. As I said, we were there for my sons first teenage birthday, which she knew but never asked about, offered, or surprised him with any type of dessert with a candle or anything. Saying she was MIA most of the night is a fair statement. I'm not sure if this was caused by the automatic tip they put on the check or that she just isn't to the level one would hope the wait staff would be for the price point they are setting. The chef was personable and engaging but he seemed a little weak orchestrating the various things on the grill at the same time. Timing is everything when you are coordinating all the elements he was. The result was that the food suffered a bit. The smell of burnt egg while making fried rice is a turn off. While he was entertaining he lost control of the most important thing, good food. Anyone who has gone to one of these types of hibachi restaurants you know it can get loud but this place takes it to another level. The design has only hard surfaces which do not absorb any noise at all. However, it does make it better for cleaning with all of the food being thrown and liquids be squirted. All in good fun, and it is. Bottom line- it's not a place to go if you are looking to have a conversation with members of your party or looking to be blown away by the culinary experience. However, for a fun, loud night out it serves the purpose. I'm sure we will return in the future. read more

Can't leave a real review for the food but I will say that I was able to make a reservation on open table for 7:30pm for tonight 1/6/24. Imagine our surprise when we arrive and it's a ghost town. Place is CLOSED. Who closes on a Saturday night? There was a supposed "winter storm" today. All we got is rain. My guess is they did not open for that reason. At least have the decency to call your reservations to inform them. Not cool. read more

We were looking for a sushi place with a bit more atmosphere and something with a nice vibe and found Kabuto on yelp. The decor is lovely but the food is the star - the sushi was SO good! I don't eat shellfish so only had things with tuna or salmon in them and all were excellent - especially the special rolls. My husband did say he thought there was too much tempura but I love a lot of crunch in my sushi so take that to heart if you don't. We also had this tempura tofu broth appetizer thing that was extremely delicious - highly recommend (it's on the hot appetizer menu). Finally, our server was super nice and took great care of us. We come here all the time and I think I have left a review before, but wanted to update. I'm not sure what's going on, but I feel like the food isn't as good as it used to be. We ordered sushi and one of the rolls was supposed to have asparagus and instead they did avocado...which is fine except we already had rolls with avocado. The fish was a little stringy and just not as fresh tasting as it usually is. Also, we ordered miso soup to start and it came at the end when we were almost done with the sushi. The soup was lukewarm and not good...no tofu in it and no delicious taste like usual-just bland. I like to come for happy hour at the bar, but outside of that I don't think I'll come back. There are other places that are better for sushi. Such a bummer. read more
