Called to get my hair cut after two years of neglecting it! I got an appointment within the week which was awesome. The salon is clean, bright and has a fun playlist playing in the background. Kacey and her sister Bo were taking the appointments and I got Bo! She was fabulous! She kept the length as much as she could while also taking off what needed to be refreshed. They were both so nice and we chatted away during the appointment. I am making another appointment in early August for a cut and color! I highly recommend you make an appointment to see these ladies. Kacey and her team always do such an excellent job. I have been seeing them for years now and always feel confident that they will help my hair look its best. One of my favorite aspects is that the team is knowledgable about how different hair types and lengths will behave with certain cuts, so they are able to advise on how to make different cuts or variations work for you. The salon itself is beautiful, clean, and welcoming. There's never a feeling of being ignored or rushed. I also really appreciate that they are very efficient and to the point, so I never have to worry about an appointment taking a long time. I also really appreciated how careful and gentle multiple members of staff were when I was healing some new piercings that made getting a haircut rather tricky. This is rather niche, but shows the level of diligence and care that Kacey and her team put into their work. Lastly, I have always felt it was a very fair price. For a women's long hair cut with layers, wash and blowdry + style, it usually ends up being around $80. Quite a good deal for a reliable haircut and team that you can trust. read more

After avoiding hair salons for a long time (in part because of some bad experiences and in part because I wanted to keep my hair long), I decided that waist-length hair was just too long for me. I searched reviews and thought Kacey Salon sounded like the type of place I'd feel comfortable at, but I was still nervous so I sent a message to their website. Bo called me soon after that and we discussed what I wanted. Based on the positive impression I got from her call, I made an appointment for 2 days later. (I didn't want to wait too long because I would probably chicken out.) I had the appointment this morning and am very happy with both the salon and Bo's work. The salon is clean and relaxing, and it is conveniently located with free parking in front. Bo really paid attention to what I wanted and (maybe more important) what I didn't want. She cut my hair to a couple of inches below shoulder length, and she layered and/or shaped it so it actually flatters me by bringing out some natural wave rather than just hanging straight down. Even though it is much shorter than it was before, it still looks long (which is what I wanted). I also told Bo that I do nothing to style my hair--just wash and let dry naturally--and I didn't want to change that. She respected that wish and cut it in a way that does not need styling (though I'm sure if I wanted to do something extra with it, I could). In the past I've gone at least a year and usually more between trims or cuts, but I feel so good about this cut and about how easy it is to communicate with Bo that I plan to get a trim here at least twice a year. read more

Disclaimer: I did not get a haircut here. I only came here to buy some hair care products from Kevin Murphy. It was always an issue with me buying Kevin Murphy online because I would be afraid of buying fakes. I saw from the Kevin Murphy website that Kacey Hair Salon was an authorized reseller so I came in. I got lost at first and went to the gas station, but this place is located right next to the Dunkin Donuts. The outside did not look great, but the feeling quickly goes away when you walk inside. It is bright and clean inside with guards, masks, and people throwing themselves to take your temperature. I do appreciate that they take the pandemic seriously. I was not in here very long. I was looking from the Anti-gravity lotion, which is generally sold out online so I am glad that they carry it. I was hoping they had Night rider or Rough rider so I could try it, but they seem to have hair care products and less styling products. As for the service, the person who helped me was cheerful and bright and it made me feel welcomed as soon as I stepped through the door. read more

I came here after probably more than 6 months of not cutting my hair and I had very long hair with split ends. When I called they told me the haircut would be around $70-90. I get there and they want to charge me $127.... just for a haircut lol. I don't know if that's normal, just bc my hair was pretty long and thick but it was going to be cut anyways. I was looking for a hair salon that knows how to style hair. While doing all the research, I have decided to give this Salon a try. I went there with no appointment and gladly they entertained me. I was surprised by how they treated me, they take time to listen to what style I want. Surprisingly, It was the owner "Kacey" who did the job and I was very pleased and happy with the result. I have been a solid client of this place for 5 years now, and figured I ought to write a review. Kacey's hair salon is a family-run business by two sisters who are really, really good at doing hair. I usually get my hair cut by Bo, who always has good, honest recommendations when it comes to style, cut and color. The atmosphere is nice, upscale, yet down-to-earth and super friendly. And of course, they always have good coffee and refreshments available. I had a really good experience getting an ombre-color dye, and have had consistently great experience when it comes to hair-cuts. So I came to this salon because of the "good reviews" and first I'll just say I saw the prices on the website were $107+ for a full highlight and of course when I got there I was quoted $330 for a full highlight and cut... this is not Bethesda nor is it DC. I feel like that is way too much but I went with the partial. My biggest issue is that the entire time I was there the girl who did my hair was telling me how bad and damaged it was, as if I didn't know. It is damaged for sure but I don't think it was the worst and I didn't need constant reminders. As a healthcare provider in a pandemic, my hair is the least of my concerns right now so a little less judgment would be great. When I went to pay I took out my Discover card and she told me they only took MasterCard and Visa. I honestly had no clue. I did not see a sign at the front desk or anywhere. She told me I could go get another card at home but she would have to keep my phone. I was not about to do that so I just used my Visa which is a debit and I really did not want to. About the color, it's ok. There are definitely some spots that weren't covered like I asked to be but overall I like it. read more

I have been living in MD for 2 years now and originally from FL, and I have been to a zillion hair salons for many different reasons and never have I been 100% satisfied or had someone actually listen to what I really wanted. Today I had the pleasure of meeting Kacey and got my hair shampooed, cut and blow dried. The price is on point and the services are incredible. She is incredibly kind and professional and obviously knows what she is doing. She took the time to listen to what I wanted and she did a very well explained and quick consult, like she knew what I was thinking. After an amazing and relaxing shampoo she quickly got to work. You can tell she has a passion for what she does and loves it, you can tell she truly cares how her clients look and feel. Best hair salon i've ever been to!!! Came out from kacey hair salon with a hair style I was satisfied with. The ambiance of this place is really nice and cozy. It really gives off a fancy feel. Once I entered, I was quickly escorted to the changing room and then to get my hair washed. The shampoo session was nice--the worker was polite in asking whether the water temperature was alright, and the head massage was pretty on point. Then, I was greeted by Bo who was not awkward at all and fun to talk to. I got a color and haircut. And the turnout has exceeded my already high expectations. When I came to Kasey, I had just had my hair done at another salon in the area. The previous salon turned my hair orange and color corrected it, but the orange was still not completely gone. I've been going to this place for the last 8 years. Kacey is an very talented hairdresser. You can tell she loves her job, and she always cuts quickly but still pays attention to the small details. She is really good about listening to what you want, and is honest and thoughtful with her own suggestions. She also shows you how to achieve the style at home. All the products she has recommended to me have always worked like a charm, although she is never pushy about getting you to buy. I found this gem of a salon for my wife a couple of years ago when she was in search of a new stylist. She absolutely loves the way Bo cuts her hair. I've had an excellent run of different styles (including cutting off more than a foot of hair) and highlights. Kacey's suggestions are always very flattering, she really knows what she's doing. Their new location is light and airy, with an expanded product display, not that they ever push a purchase on you, which I appreciate.
