The hall where the service took place was beautiful, besides sympathies, the most common thing I heard was about how great the place looked. They had a couple comfort animals running around and a staff member was always unobtrusively available. They made a wonderful slideshow out of the pictures we gave them. Digitized everything. The most touching part was a display they made, we had discussed interests, hobbies and such. They made a whole display out of the things we talked about with some pictures added on.

For a funeral home in which you would like to be taken care of at a very sad time, it is the worst experience I have ever had. They do not care about the fact you are saying goodbye to a loved one. I ordered a beautiful spray of flowers to be delivered, and when the flowers arrived, the funeral home sent the flowers back because they are not what they wanted. Even though it was the family's wishes for an full open casket, hours before the showing, they closed half of the casket and told us they would never leave it open (even though that is what we were told and planned). When confronting the problem, the owners were very disrespectful. Therefore I beg you to please avoid this place. Go someplace else and say your goodbyes and prayers at a funeral home that will take care of your wishes. This place ruined saying goodbye to a very special family member.

They and their staff provided a comforting, personalized wake at the West Seneca location. My husband, who was a Viet Nam vet and later went on to work at and retire from VA in Buffalo, had what I'm sure he would have loved. The veteran and national honor provided was wonderful. I mentioned(and others agreed) that this was the perfect place for him to be remembered. The staff took care of everything down to the smallest detail to make this difficult time manageable and as stress free as was possible under the circumstances. They made sure every detail was done to our satisfaction and answered any questions we may have had. They offered advice and suggestions when requested, and we were unsure as to what to do but never pushed anything on us . Planning the final remembrance for a loved one is never easy but Lakeside showed compassion and professionalism throughout the entire time. I would not hesitate to recommend Lakeside in West Seneca to anyone who wants their final wishes for loved ones done perfectly. They could not have done anything better.

Mark's death was hard and Charles and the team were tentative to our needs, made us feel like family and welcomed us with open arms. As the youngest, it's hard to have to deal with loosing half of your family within 3 yrs of each other. Just pick up body and cremation, No service, No pictures just a simple collection and service. We don't want our only son to wonder what to do, just like I faced when my father passed. We would appreciate getting this done in a timely manner. I can't believe nobody has called me back, I guess they would rather take advantage of the grief than prearranged death that contains no pressure on love ones. On a frigid Buffalo winter day, a lovely young lady was at the ready to help folks with their coats. Just a small detail that shows an extra level of care.
