I contacted Linder to replace my home electrical panel so that I could add two EV plugs in my…read moregarage and prepare for a heat pump and heat pump water heater that would soon follow the project. The bulk of the install process was great and professional. The project hit a snag at the very end when I noticed that the second EV plug was 120 instead of 240. I was told that the panel that was selected wouldn't work with a second EV plug or with the the heat pump devices that were going to come next. That was a shock! I had wondered about this before we started the project. I asked if a higher-amperage panel was required. I was told "that's a big deal and will cost you $20k." There was never a statement that the panel we were going with wasn't going to cover the stated project goals. After the project, I called PSE to get a better understanding of the service they offer to my home. They told me I had been given bad advice and that they could deliver whatever amperage I needed without trouble. The new panel that was installed was 125 amp. PSE told me that they guarantee 200 amps to the home, per WA law. They also said that I ALREADY had 200 amp to my home, so clearly no requirement to pay $20k to get it. I reached back out to Linder with the new information. I proposed installing a higher amperage panel and that I'd pay the bulk of the cost but wanted some discount because I didn't feel like this poor outcome was entirely my fault. They told me that they "don't do work for free", even though I wasn't asking for that. They told me go to talk to Bel-Red Electric if I wanted the issue fixed. That was another shock. I thought that the relationship had gone pretty smoothly up until that point. I guess they had booked a good profit on my project and didn't want to give that up. In any case, I think it is good advice to go talk to Bel-Red electric. I will go do that and explain that I need help in right-sizing my new panel for my project goals. In summary, I have no reason to question the quality of the work at Linder. The install looked super clean and was done quickly. A friend had recommended Linder. He is super handy and would have never got into this problem. He would have calculated his amperage requirements before even calling an electrical company. I don't know much about electrical and was expecting guidance from Linder on how to proceed per my stated project goals. In fact, I asked them about this later. They told me that I negotiated too hard on price and so a 125 amp panel was the only option at that price. That's a really strange way to do business. The panel upgrade cost $7k. Is that a lot for a 125 amp panel? So, if you need help navigating your project and are not too familiar with electrical, you might look elsewhere or end up with the same outcome as I did. I'm just a regular home owner like a lot of people.

Matt came out and investigated, and he and I discovered a number of wiring issues where previous work in this old house had not been done correctly. He corrected it all, including running new lines from the breaker box, through the garage, through the crawlspace, into the lower floor, and up into the upper floor. He was careful, thorough, and focused on making sure everything was done correctly and well. He had to make a few holes in walls and ceilings, but he thought ahead to minimize the work of the handyman who would follow and fix everything. Plus, Matt is just a very nice guy. When it was done, the city inspector came out to give permits, and he was very impressed with the quality of Matt's work. That was very encouraging to hear! I will continue to use Linder for any electrical work that may come up in the future.

Aqualine Plumbing didn't even do the most basic parts of their job: showing up for their appointments, communicating with the customer, following up, ordering parts, nor scheduling the actual repair work. Total failure in every way. They failed to show up for the first appointment on 7/26/2024 scheduled between 12-2pm and I had to call them several times to find out if and when they would be arriving as it got closer to 2pm and beyond saying they would be there. When I made my last call I made to the around 4pm they that their service tech was still on his first call of the day and they wouldn't be coming. The office rescheduled for 7/27 and told me I would be their first call of the day and the tech would arrive between 9-9:30am. I informed them I had plans later and had to leave by 11am. I was texting the tech in the morning when he said he was on the way and reiterated that I needed to leave by 11am. Their tech showed up at 11:15am and I had to alter my plans. When the tech arrived I asked if I was his first appointment of the day and he confirmed that was true. Given that I had communicated my schedule with the office and with him, I asked why he was so late. Basically, he had no valid excuse and clearly decided to sleep in and show up whenever he wanted. I had six plumbing issues. They fixed one (reseated the toilet)and took pictures of everything else to order parts and schedule the next repairs. I didn't hear back from Aqualine and had to call them to try and determine when they would be scheduling their visit for the repairs. I called four separate times and each time they said they would get back to me but never did. They also said that they showed the repairs were completed in their system, which is as not true. I explained we were waiting on parts and still needed to schedule the repair appointment. I spoke to their office manager, yet again, on 9/5 who said the manager would be contacting me on 9/6 or 9/9 at the latest. No one ever called me back. I called spoke to Aqualine again on 9/16 and the office manager said the Manager would contact me but never did. It's now been almost 2 months and my repairs still are NOT completed. I had to contact American Home Shield to have another plumber assigned. The new contractor got me scheduled right away and said they strive to complete all repairs the same day with limited exceptions. That's what anyone would want or expect from a plumbing contractor when they are having plumbing issues. Aqualine can't even do the most basic things any company should do. Don't use this company unless you want to be frustrated, waste your time and still have plumbing issues that never get fixed. They don't have their act together.

Stay away from his company (aebc.us) whose owner is Andy. Somehow he can receive calls on the phone number (425-746-1667) of another company called "Bellevue Electric". He tells that he is from Bellevue Electric when he talks over the phone but when you see the bill for payment, it's another company called "American Electrical & Building Company". Stay away from him, there are far more less worse electricians than him.

Our old oil furnace was 50+ years old, but we rent and our landlord pushed replacing it as long as…read morehe could. We ended up having a crack in our heat exchanger. It HAD to be replaced. Our landlord found a 2 year old furnace and got a quote for $1200 from another company to come and replace it. The guy who sold us our new used furnace recommend these guys and their estimate came in even cheaper! Removed our old furnace one day and put the new one in the next. Scrap metal was all taken away very quickly. NOTHING was left behind (a first for us), didn't have to move my car, basement/yard was a mess and they didn't care (our basement is actually cleaner now thanks to them). Since we do have an old house, service people for us are pretty common. These guys were by far the most courteous people I've ever had come out. The guy knew my name and my husbands name (I don't remember his :( ) and every time they asked me to do something (like, 3 times) he almost seemed apologetic that he was disturbing me. Did I mention our new furnace is awesome? They said our old one was running at about 50% efficiency, which is awful! Thanks to these guys, we'll save a ton on our heating bill! They answered all my questions before leaving and showed me where our filter goes. The time came and went and Patrick was a no-show. I called and left a msg. asking where he was. I was texted back saying the appointment was 'misplaced' but, could we reschedule. I offered a reschedule and asked Patrick to pick one of 3 days. I never heard back. It is now 4 days later and I have scheduled service with Complete Heating.
