I might sound a bit snobbish here (being from L.A.) but when you think of breakfast being essentially the same everywhere, you haven't sampled a bunch of the breakfast specialty restaurants in L.A. There "is" a difference between good scrambled eggs and average. This was pretty much average, and I wouldn't be as harsh if this spot didn't specialize in breakfast. Tasted like Denny's (which by the way is closing 150 restaurants) The outdoor patio is nice, and suggested, weather permitting. Nice people here as well.

Little hole in the wall. Type of place that makes you feel comfy. You know what you're gonna get. Food and service are equivalent to that of a diner. Pricing is fair, $50 for 3 people entrees and coffees. Nothing super exciting, but nothing bad at all!!

Tucked way in the back of this small shopping center, is an unpretentious restaurant that shouldn't be overlooked. We found to be true their own Yelp posting "Quality food, Friendly service at a fair price". Since they are one of the few restaurants that open at a reasonable hour, we went there for breakfast on a holiday. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and helpful; she also followed up quite well and took a sincere interest in how we liked our food. You can see from my pics this is a straight-forward, unpretentious restaurant. When we first walked in, it was noticeable that everything was very clean and orderly (notice on each table is hand sanitizer). I posted 3 pages from their menu: all breakfast items. They also serve lunch, BUT more importantly they smoke meat onsite. Learning this important piece of information, I ordered their Tri Tip Benedict. As you can see from my pic, I got my money's worth. There was more tri tip than I expected to get. While not quite fork tender, it didn't take much to cut through. In of itself, the tri tip had that wonderful beef flavor with just a hint of smoke. This went very well with the correctly cooked poached eggs. I ordered my country potatoes extra crispy and they came out as ordered - they were a bit bland. But I was very full with the tri tip benedict. We also had an egg and ham omelet, but served skillet style. This was plated over their country potatoes. As you can see from my pic this is a plateful. The eggs were scrambled as expected and had an ample amount of cheddar cheese (which is what we choose). The diced ham was the star: good quality. The country potatoes were cooked to their usual doneness and were a bit bland.

My son and I come here every Saturday morning. Not just to lower the median age of 85, but to enjoy the great breakfast. We love the red vinyl chairs with brass casters. We love our waitress Margie. Tilapia and trout and eggs on the menu? Who orders that and why is it on the menu???

Recently came here with a group of friends and two dogs. We sat outside because of four legged friends, but it was no big deal! Most of us ordered the breakfast croissant, and it was good enough for all of us! My husband also ordered a side of soup, which was delicious! The servers were really sweet and loved all of our four legged friends that came along with us. The place itself is filled with locals and looked pretty busy, granted it was a Sunday! There weren't too many options available in Beaumont, so I'm glad to have found this place for some brunch before heading back into the city!

This is the second time we visit the restaurant, first time service was amazing. This time it was good. Our server was extremely busy, it took longer than expected to take our order but it's understandable most places are understaffed. Nevertheless,she was very attentive. My Sandwhich was great, missing the powdered sugar but when I asked the server for some she came and brought some right away. Overall she was great. The issue was another employee. We were already done , check payed, leftovers in containers, just finishing our drinks and cleaning up (we have kids). She came around and was pouring more coffee I said no thanks and signaled with my hand, as I repeated "no thank you, were already leaving" she was already pouring more coffee into my perfectly already prepared coffee. Not a huge deal but I was really enjoying my coffee, I wish she would've stopped to listen.

This is one of my favorite spots breakfast is always OnPoint hot and ready it doesn't feel like your average breakfast but this is more like a HomeTown cooking restaurant with lots of friendly faces and awesome customer service I've been coming here for 4 years every time I come it's like seeing family you haven't seen in awhile that's how they make you feel thank you cafe Royal for always making me feel welcome love and full continue doing a great job read more

Came back and had the ribs, and the meat fell off the bone! The sauce was delicious! My mom was also very happy with her pulled pork sandwich. We got corn nuggets and fried zucchini instead of fries and glad we did! Need to try the fried chicken next! read more

We had a yelp deal & I convinced the rents to venture away from their favorite breakfast establishment. It is sort of hidden in the back of the shopping center. We were told they were re-opening in order to get new business. Staff was helpful. food was ok. The price was good for the amount of food you got. They have good breakfast specials; I guess I just wanted it to be more flavorful. read more

The reviews about the eggs Benedict are not exaggerated. They are great!! Good sized portion of country ham and hollandaise sauce and the poached eggs were cooked perfect. The service was good and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this place for breakfast. I'll try lunch next time and let you know how that is. read more

I come from West Covina to visit my Grandparents and they introduced me to this amazing breakfast house. Now every time I visit them we have our breakfast or lunch here. Kind family service , amazingly portioned entrees, and the cutest look and feel. Worth it every time. read more

Pretty happy with the quality of the food... the service , menus, water , coffee seemed to be very slow , yet polite... I felt like a 30.00 bill for a omelette and 2 waffles with 2 coffees was high - we still tipped well , but I felt like it was a little pricey for us.... Wow! Has this place gone down hill! Walked in and stood there for 10 minutes waiting to be seated, while the waitress right around the corner continued to chat with another customer. I ended up walking out and going down the street to Dennie's. read more

Nice little place to go for breakfast out with the family. The servers are always friendly and attentive, the foods great, and they never let your coffee cup go empty. The owner is always close at hand making sure everything is running smoothly. Haven't had a bad experience yet and I take the family there nearly every Sunday. Keep up the good work!!! read more

First time here, and it's a great place for breakfast! First, they have excellent service here! My coffee was being refilled frequently, they checked a few times before and after my meal was served to see if I needed anything, and I could tell that the staff really like what they do! Had the Big Ryan breakfast burrito with pulled pork (you can get it with tri-tip, as well). A very flavor - filled breakfast burrito, with fresh salsa on the side! They also have many more delicious choices, so it's going to take a while to see if this remains my favorite, or maybe I'll just have a few :D read more

Wow, what a treat tonight. Stopped by Kafe Royale tonight after seeing the billboard on I-10 and feeling a craving for some BBQ. Excellent food, great service, and a very friendly owner who stopped by the table to say hello. We had the tri-tip, pulled pork, and a chicken bomb. All was delicious, but the pulled pork may be the best I've ever had. Don't pass up a chance to eat here. read more

I love Kafe Royale, talk about comfort food! I always get the country skillet because it's just too darn good not to get. I always feel like I'm in my grandma's dining room. It's comforting and the service is wonderful. The staff definitely has a certain charm to it that I can't put my finger on. Prices are very reasonable and they always have a blue plate special. The wait can be a little long on Sundays so be aware. The only thing that sometimes bugs me is how loud it can be from everyone talking. read more

The Kafe Royale is the "Cheers" of Calimesa, where "everybody knows your name." Breakfast is wonderful, try the turkey sausage for variety. I have eaten lunch here for years. They offer a daily blue plate special that is delicious, ample, and a great value. The service is prompt, accurate and very friendly. read more

We had lunch here at this restaurant today and will not be back... My salad had some brown pieces in it but the dressing was good. We ordered a Montecristo sandwich which was just OK but the fried zucchini was not OK!! Do not ever order this... They had taken the zucchini and fried up the peelings and then the seeds separately! Sunday 10.30.16 This was only our second time visit. Our first was quite memorable as well as this second time. The food was very good and the customer service is the way it should be everywhere. The waitresses are friendly and always there when needed. They made everyone feel very welcome. We were a party of about 13 and everyone was very pleased. I'm sure we will make this restaurant one of our favorites to return to. Recommended!!! read more

It feels more like a spot for special occasions or when you want something a little more unique and elevated than the usual rotation. Solid experience overall. 4 stars.

The staff were incredibly attentive, especially when it came to keeping our drinks refilled, which is always a nice touch. Unfortunately, my experience was a bit disappointing. Our server completely forgot my drink, and while the average wait time for a drink is usually around 3-4 minutes, mine took about 13 minutes to arrive -- after everyone else at my table had already received their coffee. Speaking of the coffee, it wasn't great. One person at our table didn't even finish theirs because it just didn't taste right. On a more positive note, the burrito I ordered wasn't bad at all -- probably the best part of the meal. Overall, the service was slow and the drinks underwhelming. I have eaten here a couple of times with my boyfriend and when I discovered it was going to be less than a block from where I was visiting my son I couldn't wait to take them here. It's nothing fancy and I have only had breakfast here. They have a traditional menu nothing real "exotic" except for maybe my "go to": Southern eggs benedict! The service is always great. The Yucaipa High School class of '65 had our reunion breakfast at Kafe Royale with about 40 people. Service was fast, the food was hot, and everyone got their food at about the same time. My thanks to Juan, the owner, and also Theresa and Jamie. The cook and kitchen staff deserve a thank you too. We weren't rushed at all and had plenty of time to eat and visit.
