Can't get away from o no Mr BILL

First time eating here. Went in with no expectations and the service was good the food was decent I ordered chicken tenders and sweet potato fries which were good They have a country vibe like a honky tonk Texas bar. Be aware as many places are now adding fees for paying with credit cards and or debt cards so is this place I'm not sure if it's legal to charge for using a debt card in California I paid cash but it still irks me that so many places can violate the rules Probably won't be eating here again it's just not all that special and I'd rather go to chili's where I know the quality is better and the cost is less for a QP burger and o get free chips too I suppose if one likes to drink beer and eat fried food this would be ok

We wanted to wait out the traffic before heading back to Hemet. The World Cup was on so we pulled into Good Intentions so we could watch the United States team play (and hopefully win!) and then maybe overlap into the Dodger game. This is our first time here, and upon entering, it's a cozy space with a long bar plus cafe tables along the wall, tables elsewhere throughout and 7 TVs around the bar. We picked a seat at the bar and Brie took our order for drinks. They currently serve beer and wine, but they have wine versions of spirits so we tried "tequila shots" made with an agave wine. I was surprised that they tasted good! We ordered the mac-n-cheese and the fish and chips, and both were so good!!! The noodles for the mac-n-cheese are cavatappi - that fancy spiral noodle! So much great cheese and flavor in every bite! The fish and chips was plated beautifully with lemon wedges, tartar sauce, coleslaw, and packets of malt vinegar. I got some ketchup for the fries and dove in! The fish was light on the inside and crispy on the outside - perfection! The fries were breaded and had the perfect crisp and flavor! The coleslaw was a bit bland (add some salt and vinegar to zip it up) but that's just a little side dish and was still good. We will be back for sure! Everyone was friendly, gave great service, and served up some seriously good food with big portions and equally good prices! So glad Good Intentions is here in Beaumont

Back for more. Still great service, good food and cold beer. Country music this time in the background with TVs to watch your famous Dodgers.

Wow I am so excited for this business! The service, music, FOOD!! Absolutely delicious. This takes bar food to a new level. I tried the Diablo burger, onion ring tower, and club flatbread and save room for dessert but definitely get the cookie skillet!! Diablo burger had such a good kick and tasted phenomenal with the ranch. Onion rings are always delicious and these were nice and crispy. I'm recommending everyone to come here and excited to see what the future holds for this restaurant, because Beaumont needs something like this

Service was nice and quick. Cheese pulls were good. Mac and cheese was decent and a big portion it would be perfect to share. Lots of tvs to watch games. Will definitely be back for a drink.

I had the best experience at Good Intentions in Beaumont, CA. The service was excellent, the food was tremendous, and the drinks were tasty. Everything came out quickly and I did not have to wait for seating. I ordered the smash burger with onions rings, the fried pickles, and the espresso martini. Destiny was our bartender and she made great drinks and provided excellent service! I look forward to coming back!

Calamari thin pieces of rubber. Why would you send these out??
    Kathy C.

I'm sorry you gotta do better on some of your food Calamari was rubber way over cooked. Can't believe you put it out. Besides that nice place cold beer. Waitress was cool.

The food is fresh and the service is awesome. Small restaurant with big flavors in the heart of Beaumont. This town really needed something like this! Brunch is served Saturday and Sundays all day so that is awesome because I tend to wake up late lol Happy hour is booming and the touchtunes is ready to play any song you like! Really recommend coming here and experiencing the hospitality it has to offer!

Great corner spot that has a Newport vibe. The fish and chips are fresh and crunchy. Cole slaw was full of flavor just wished there was more. Fries big and hot just need some seasoned salt. Tartar good, maybe some Jalapeño lime for a kick. Now the sleeper meal The Great White-WOW! bursting with grilled chicken and Alfredo spice flavor over a well heated flat bread. We had to order 2! Looking for amazing things in the next 2 months. Once the liquor license is implemented and Tullamore Dew and Pendleton whiskeys are introduced it will set off the boulevard on a customer frenzy. Congratulations for a promising venture. Great stuff and owners await you.

Not bad. Pretty good for Beaumont. By the looks of the waitresses, my wife and I were expecting a strippers pole.

I came here for the first time after a stressful few weeks, and I absolutely loved the…read moreexclusiveness and hidden-away feeling this place offers. For most of the night, I had a great time minding my own business, watching videos quietly on my phone in a corner of the bar. As I was getting ready to leave, a random guy sitting nearby asked me to lower the volume on my phone. Whether he intended to be polite or not, it felt condescending, territorial, and completely unnecessary. They were speaking louder than my phone, yet somehow my phone was the issue. It honestly felt like a case of "local syndrome," where someone felt empowered to tell me what to do in a place that isn't theirs. I didn't want to create a scene, so I generously tipped the bartender and left. But I was genuinely upset that I was told to be quiet while I was simply minding my own business in a corner. The place itself does not deserve a bad review because of the actions of one customer. However, if this person is in any way connected to management or staff, I would seriously reconsider my rating and change it to one star--something I never done before. I think a little more compassion and understanding toward fellow customers would go a long way.

Hey Brian, I wanted…read moreto reach out about something that happened tonight that I feel you should know about. I also want to be clear that all of this transpired after you had already left for the evening. For context, I'm a regular at the bar and have been coming in for quite a while. I've never had a major issue with Brent or Steven, even though they both have personalities that can come across as sarcastic or abrasive. I've generally let it go because my reason for coming to the bar is simple: I come in to have a few beers, relax, and enjoy myself. Tonight, while I was still drinking one of my beers and had some left in the glass, Brent came by and took it away as if I was finished. I jokingly said something along the lines of, "I guess you're not going to let me finish the last bit." I wasn't upset and wasn't trying to start an argument. It was an obvious mistake that could have been solved with a simple apology. Instead, he responded with a snarky comment rather than acknowledging the mistake. Later, he brought another beer to my table. I made eye contact with him and before I could even say anything, he asked, "Do you want to say something to me?" I replied, "No, I just wanted to say thank you." His response was, "Your eyes are telling me differently." Again, I found that unnecessarily confrontational and disrespectful. At that point, I decided to leave a $0 tip. I normally tip very well, often around 30% or more, and this was the first time I've intentionally left no tip because I wanted to send a message that I was unhappy with the way I was being treated. After that, Steven came over and confronted me about leaving no tip. He asked if I was really zeroing it out and questioned me about whether something had happened between me and Brent. I told him that whatever issue I had was not his concern, and he responded, "Fair enough." I assumed that would be the end of it. Instead, Brent came outside and confronted me. He told me Steven had said I had a problem with him. I explained that I didn't have a personal problem with him; my issue was his attitude and the way he was treating me as a customer. Rather than listening, he became increasingly hostile. I reminded him that I'm a customer and that I'm only there to buy beer from the business. I'm not there to deal with sarcasm, attitude, or an employee's emotions. As a paying customer, the minimum I expect is basic respect. I shouldn't have to walk on eggshells or accept being spoken to disrespectfully while simply trying to enjoy a beer. That confrontation ended poorly and he went back inside. A short time later, he came back out and confronted me again, this time in front of other customers. The situation became even more uncomfortable because it was happening publicly. During that exchange, he ultimately told me that I was not welcome back. Again, I reminded him that I am a paying customer whose only purpose in being there is to support the business and enjoy a beer. I should not be getting into arguments with employees, being confronted in front of other patrons, or being told I'm not welcome because I expressed concerns about how I was being treated. The bigger issue is that, in my opinion, this isn't just about tonight. This has been months in the making. I've noticed a pattern with both Brent and Steven where they seem to have become comfortable treating customers with attitude and sarcasm in ways that shouldn't be acceptable in a customer-facing role. I've overlooked it many times because I enjoy the bar and didn't think it was worth making an issue out of. On the other hand, employees like Kim, Josh, and David have always treated me and other customers with professionalism and respect. They know how to joke around while still making customers feel welcome. I've never had an issue with them. From my perspective, the problem is specifically Brent and, to a lesser extent, Steven. Brent especially has developed a demeanor that I find unwelcoming, confrontational, and disrespectful toward customers. I don't think I'm the only person who feels this way. Tonight was simply the point where it crossed a line. I'm not sending this because I want anyone fired or punished. I simply think you should know what happened, especially since it all occurred after you had left. I've spent a lot of time and money at your establishment over the years, and I would hope that customers--especially regulars--can expect basic courtesy and respect from the people serving them. I wanted to give you my side of the story directly. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
