So glad we stumbled upon this cafe on Yelp! I felt like trying somewhere new, so we made the drive out, and I'm glad we did. The plaza is currently undergoing construction, but the cafe itself is super cute inside! The barista greeted us right away, gave us a few minutes to look over the menu, and was happy to offer assistance when we needed it. DRINKS: I ordered the Ube Latte, and it was so flavorful! The ube and coffee blended really well together. My boyfriend tried the seasonal Almond Joy Latte, made with house-made coconut simple syrup, chocolate syrup, almond milk, and espresso. The almond milk flavor was pretty prominent, so I'd recommend it if you enjoy that flavor profile. He really enjoyed it! FOOD: We sampled both the Ube Mochi and Butter Mochi. The Ube Mochi reminded me of Filipino ube halaya, although you had to look for the ube flavor a little. The Butter Mochi was sweeter and more flavorful, so we ended up ordering a full-size one. It tasted even better warmed up! Overall, we had such a lovely experience. The service was warm and friendly, the space was welcoming, and both the drinks and food were delicious. i really really do want to like kaffeine alley, but i feel like the few times i've been here i have been underwhelmed. the first time i tried it was when i moved to the area two years ago, and i remember really liking the egg and fig jam sandwich. but then after getting it a second time it wasn't as great. came back today after a while to give it another shot, got the english toffee latte with oat milk and a treat yoself breakfast sandwich. unfortunately the latte was superrrr milky and tasted more like sweet milk than anything, was hoping for the espresso to pull through a bit more. as for the sandwich, the bread was nice and it was a very simple and light sandwich with good ingredients but the eggs were really bland and had no flavor. hoping to leave this review as constructive feedback and come back again soon and give it another try! read more

I really wanted to like Kaffeine Alley, but after giving them four separate chances, I've been consistently disappointed with the quality of their matcha drinks. Each visit, the matcha has tasted either overly bitter, poorly mixed, or lacking the smooth, rich flavor I expect from a good matcha latte. I understand that an occasional bad drink can happen, which is why I kept coming back. Unfortunately, after four visits, the experience has been consistently underwhelming. The atmosphere and service have been pleasant, but the matcha quality has not met expectations, especially considering the price point. I hope they revisit their matcha preparation process, as I'd love to see improvements and be able to support a local business. The woman who I assume is the owner is super friendly and explains the menu and gives recommendations. Their drinks and food are delicious. It's hard not to stop here everyday! Front entrance is currently under construction but it's definitely still open! Stopped here in the morning on my way to Vegas, inside is SUPER cute filled with plants, pictures of Vietnam and even a take a book/leave a book section! Plenty of seating, great for studying. Woman who helped us was super sweet and extremely informative. She offered us a sample of butter mochi which was very good and made good conversation. Made our drinks very quickly (we were the only customers in at the time) Butter mochi was good. We ordered the Viet crack w/ Banana Foam and a Matcha Latte. Coffee was good, not as strong as other viet coffees I've had if you like that. Banana Foam was tasty, tasted like it was made in house. Matcha Latte was just okay. Had a photoshoot out on this side in Yorba Linda / Anaheim Hills and so I decided to pull up to do some remote work while I wait for my client. Found Kaffeine Alley nearby on maps and I made the right choice. Walked in and was greeted by Cameron. I expressed my interest in either a latte or matcha and Cameron made recommendations in both categories but his personal favorite was the Honey Almond Latte so I ordered that. When my drink was ready he had me try it and asked if it needed any modifications whether it was too sweet or not sweet enough but no it was perfect. They have WiFi here and a pretty huge parking lot (although you might have to walk a bit if you don't get parking up front.) They have seating outside and inside as well. Always hits! Grabbed a dirty iced matcha today and it was perfection. The sweetness was just right, and the matcha flavor was strong, but not bitter. Jen the owner is always so friendly. I've been going into this establishment for the last six years. It's been a place to go to before work, after a long day, or just somewhere to enjoy time in a welcoming environment. My go to is always the drip coffee, cold brew and banana bread ( not all at once, okay sometimes). It's one of the few places you can walk into these days and they remember your name. You have a work idea and need to outline it somewhere, go to the ally, you have a coffee date planned and need a place, the ally is where to go. You need strong Vietnamese coffee. Super dog friendly = 10/10!!!! I had to find a place where I can stay for few hours with my dog and Kaffeine Alley was the best decision I made today! The staff (i suppose she might be the owner) was very friendly and even offered a bowl of water for my dog. I ordered a matcha with water, the rest of my group ordered two other matcha offerings and none of us enjoyed the drink. It tasted like very low quality matcha and had this bitterness, you can see the dullness in color in the photo. It's so out of the way for me but it was on my detour back home this morning so I had to give them a go. Here's what I ordered: **Viet Crack with Sea Salt Foam: Worst Vietnamese coffee I've ever had. It was so light and bitter. It was so light that it tasted like a watered down latte. The sea salt foam was very runny and had no flavor. (0/5) **Iced Coffee: You're typical iced coffee but very light compared to most. (2.5/5) Subpar coffee but great service. Inside is very spacious and not too loud at all.
