Haven't been to a Ding Tea in a long time. There's not many stores around OC anymore, so I was really shocked to find this location. Parking: Free parking lot. They're located in a busy plaza. Finding a spot can be a hit or miss. Ambiance/Environment: They have a large space with a decent amount of seating. It's very casual and chill. There was consistent foot traffic of people coming in n out, but it wasn't too busy for a Sunday. Service: You can either order at the register or order at the kiosk. We opted to order at the kiosk. Throughput was quick after ordering. We only waited under 5 min for all 5 drinks. Drinks: I noticed a few changes. For starters, the cups aren't round anymore. They have standard cups. Their milk teas and coffee are as good as I remember. I tried the Hokkaido Coffee. It was very good and strong. Their classic milk teas tasted as expected, and the boba had a good texture. it happened again . ordered on kiosk and didn't print receipt. i give up trying to order on kiosk. you won't receive any points if you order on kiosk they want you to order at cashier for whatever reason to earn points. how hard is it to fix your pos system? and when i ask for help all they say is tough luck. .also the hs aged workers are hilarious. #XYZ on kiosk, how am i supposed to know my order # if it never printed . so useless. stop hiring ppl that can't critically think. Happy to see that one of my favorite tea places now serve Vietnamese coffee. It's within walking distance for me too so thats a HUGE plus. I came in while the high school kids were in the area for lunch so it was busy outside but no one was inside. They had a sign saying they were out of coffee (around 1pm) but the boy who helped me was able to scrape enough grounds to get me exactly what I wanted, a large Vietnamese Iced Coffee with Banana Foam. He went above and beyond, I'm very lucky and thankful. It tasted amazing, the inside has a good amount of seating and the music playing inside was great. Will absolutely be returning (please buy more coffee beans for those who want coffee later in the day, thank you). read more

Review 83/365 Day Challenge Can't believe it's been 2 years since DT open their doors. A lot of Ding tea has closed and re-branded. I'm glad DT Anaheim Hills is still going strong. This is still one of the boba shop I frequent especially when my kids want the Monster Boba Latte. Still pretty sweet so I usually get it half sweeten and the brown sugar boba that comes w the drink. It's chewy good. Have tried the Bubble Waffle & it's pretty good. Associate is really friendly here and receiving the drinks always on a timely manner/turn around time. Located across the streets from Canyon High school so they do get a lot of foot traffic during school days. The shop is clean and the last time I visited, they had cool post it notes on the walk where the guest can doodle stuff and leave it for display. Bottom Line Up Front: Come to Ding Tea for a wide variety of boba and coffee ... if you like 'em sweet and don't mind the premium prices. The Drinks: Ding Tea features such a large menu, ranging from fresh teas to Yakult drinks, that I have yet to try half of the beverages despite multiple visits. But this review will focus on what I got in my latest visit: Ube Viet Coffee and Hokkaido Milk Tea. I ordered the Ube Viet Coffee with half sweetness and coffee jelly and, wow, was it sugary. If this was half sweet, I'd be afraid the full sweet might make all my teeth fall out. OK, I joke, but it was so sweet that I wonder if the barista actually cut the sweetener by 50% or not. Don't get me wrong, the drink was good otherwise. It featured a strong Vietnamese coffee flavor and tasty Ube cream. Plus, the coffee jelly was perfect: a faint sweetness with a good java taste. My wife got the Hokkaido Milk Tea with regular boba, half sweetness, and oat milk. While I thought it was solid (despite me not normally ordering milk tea), she didn't like it because it was also way too sugary for 50% sweet. She drank only a quarter of it and had me drink the rest. We both agreed the boba had the perfect taste and texture. The Prices: The drinks range from $4.50 to $7.25 -- more if you want add-ons. Each of our drinks were almost $8, which was a little steep considering they were sweeter than we expected. The Service: Unfortunately, we didn't try the drinks until we drove off, so we didn't ask for the baristas to make adjustments. Despite the drinks being overly sweet, the whole staff was polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. The Setting: Located inside a relatively busy strip mall, this Ding Tea location is a good size with 6 to 10 tables, allowing for small groups to hang out comfortably. It's also clean and nearly organized. Plus, there's a self-service kiosk to order from if the front counter is busy or you're just not feeling chatty. The Conclusion: Ding Tea is a high-quality boba shop with a lot to offer, which should satisfy your cravings regardless of your preferred beverage. I walked in and was stared at. I was the only person inside. I have been to the locations in Orange and Tustin and have always loved the service and vibe. I didn't get a single hello or what would you like. It seemed to inconvenience them that I showed up because they put their phones away and seemed annoyed. I walked up to the register awkwardly and ordered my tea and they asked "size?" And that was the first thing they said to me. They told me my total and the guy sat back down on his phone. The girl gave me my drink which (which was delicious by the way) and sat back down and got on her phone. I said thank you and have a great day and got absolutely nothing back. We stopped by here after being in the area. I was in the mood for some kind of matcha and after reading reviews and seeing their menu we stopped by. I had the banana matcha which was super tasty. I love this boba franchise . Their boba drinks are always a hit and amazing. Every ding tea has different vibes and out of all the ones I been to this one is actually one of my favorites . We always get our boba here but today the customer service was terrible. My wife went with my daughter to get her usual taro drink, a drink she gets all the time, she noticed it had a peanut taste to it and since she's allergic to peanuts she's very aware of the particular taste. We told the employee of how it tastes different and asked if she could remake it. Her words were "if I make it again it will taste the same". What kind of service is that? Ding tea wasn't one of my favorite Boba spots. However, I think it's growing on me. I got their kumquats green tea, and it was amazing! I made sure that I lessened the sugar content because I did want to be a semi good. But one of the things that impressed me was that the tea was super strong! I always order the same kumquat lemon iced tea no matter which Ding Tea I go to and the drinks from here have been solid. This is one of the few locations that actually include a few split open kumquats in the drink which I love since it kicks up the sour factor a little bit. I was the only one there when I visited and my order was taken and prepared quickly. There are some tables inside and the shop has a nice modern vibe. For times when they are busy, there is also a kiosk against the left wall which you can use to order to avoid any long line at the register. It is located in a busy shopping center but I've never had a problem finding a close parking spot. Keep in mind when timing your visit, they are located right across the street from Canyon high school so they probably get slammed when school gets out. read more

We used to come here for drinks after our library visit and just found out they are now offering bubble egg waffle and other sweet treats. We come here relatively often and there is almost never a wait, and the drinks are super quick to come out. The interior is large and has space to sit and study or work, although I've never seen anyone doing that here. I have gotten a few different drinks, but I really love the taro milk tea. I have also had the brown sugar, which is also very good (but contains caffeine). I do love that they define what drinks are caffeinated and which aren't. It's very helpful! The parking here is pretty easy to manage and you can really be in and out in a very short time if you're in a time crunch (at least in my experience). I stopped by this Ding Tea while visiting Anaheim from the Bay Area, and honestly didn't expect it to beat some of the spots back home - but it did. I came in earlier this month because Corporate had sent out a promotion text: From DING TEA - ANAHEIM HILLS: 13% OFF TOP 13 - exp 9/13- 13% off Top 13. All day on September 13. There was no mention of exclusions or limits applying in the text, its links, or by the store until after the fact. I was going to get just 1 drink, but convinced my friend to get one too because of the promo, so we ordered specifically from the TOP 13 menu. I asked the employee if they were honoring the TOP 13 discount, and was told yes. Once we had our drinks my texted receipt indicated the discount wasn't applied at all. I went back to the register and this time was serviced by the manager, but was told the promotion only applied to one drink. Came for their grand opening on May 6, and it was an awesome event! The staff that I interacted with were all super nice. I really appreciate the accommodations they made to celebrate! I ordered the Taro Green Milk Tea (this is the one with the taro mash, not the Taro Milk Tea which is the purple drink) and the Vietnamese Coffee. For the Taro Green Milk Tea, I asked them to also add in a shot of espresso, which they did without hesitation! (I usually get weird looks when I ask or they just say no). I also got it 30% sweet with boba. The boba was nice and chewy and the drink was at a good sweetness level. They were very generous with their taro mash which I really appreciate! For the Vietnamese Coffee, I also got that 30% sweet and added coffee jelly. I really liked the coffee jelly, it has a nice bite to it with a good coffee flavor. The coffee itself also had a strong flavor to it, which I liked! As far as Vietnamese coffee though there are places that I might prefer more, so I'll stick to the milk teas here, but this is definitely a solid option!
